Inside the villa, Picollo had finished tying to the intruders when he heard Leo's painful groan. It even sounded like he was calling for help.
Without a second thought, Picollo rushed through the corridor, holding the small dagger firmly in his hand.
He quickly stepped out of the villa, screaming, "Let him go!"
"Huh?" His expressions immediately twisted as he saw the sight before him.
The red haired man was lying on the ground, as if he was sleeping like a log.
Meanwhile, Leo was standing next to him, looking at the stars. His hand was reached out towards the moon, as if he was trying to grab it.
However, he wasn't looking at the moon from the stars. It looked more like he was looking at the ring on his finger, whose color had faded a little.
It wasn't a ring that he bought for himself. He didn't receive it from Necropolis either. Instead, it was a gift from a woman.
"You were right. This frail human did need its help," Leo mumbled, inwardly thanking the ring that was given to him by Selene.
It was said to be able to save his life three times. Now that his life was in danger, it had activated on its own. Although its bright colour had faded a little, it was still plenty bright.
Let alone any signs of pain, there wasn't even any injury visible on him. It made him wonder if he had misheard that scream? Or did it belong to the red haired man? He couldn't be sure anymore.
"A-are you alright?" He asked while approaching Leo.
Leo slowly turned around and answered, "Never been better."
He didn't know if he was ever going to see Selene again. But if he did, he really wanted to thank her at least once.
"Is this... really the end? We caught all five of them?" Picollo asked, jumping over the unconscious man.
"The end? This is just the beginning," Leo said, as he picked up the small camera, turning it towards him.
He made sure that the camera had a proper view of him before saying, "Isn't that right?"
....
In her room, Fiona saw Leo's face on the screen.
She could directly see the smirk on the corner of his lips as he said, "Isn't that right?"
"Oh wait, I mean, I have no idea what you're talking about," Leo further added, again bringing back Fiona's words.
It was clear that he was talking to her. Furious, she tossed the nearby vase at the screen.
The vase shattered into thousands of pieces but the screen wasn't harmed in the slightest. The image on the screen only disappeared when Leo tossed the camera down, and stepped on it, crushing it beneath his feet.
....
Leo personally tied up the leader of the group, and dragged him inside the mansion with his collar.
Now that he had caught the five that were directly responsible for the mess, a large part of his plan had been completed.
The bait had worked successfully, and there was no need to keep the bait around any longer.
He immediately sent a message to Glitzy's Delivery Service to arrange a pickup. After all, even though he had spread rumors that he bought the entire island, that wasn't actually true.
He had simply rented it, and used a bot farm to spread these rumors. Now that everything was over, there was no need to keep this place around any longer.
An hour later, the Delivery Ship landed outside the villa. This time, the ship looked much better than the death traps that were used by Timmy in the past.
There was only one problem, that it wasn't being driven by Timmy.
One after another, Leo dragged the unconscious men inside the ship. After he finished, the ship's gate closed.
Leo and Piccolo took their seats next to each other.
"What are you going to do with these people? Are you going to surrender them to the authorities? Or are you going to hand them over to the Hero Guild?"
"I will do no such things," Leo answered. "I have given you the complete custody of these people. You can do with them as you please."
"I... What would I do with them?" Picollo asked, taken aback.
"I'm sure you can find a few good uses for the people that took the lives of your friends, right? Or did I overestimate you?" Leo asked.
Although he could deal with these people personally, and even use them against Fiona, he didn't choose that.
These people were his gift to Picollo, who clearly blamed himself for what happened. With these people around, Leo was sure that he could find the right people to blame.
Moreover, Picollo still had his emotions a little closed off, as if he was suppressing the memories of that tragic incident and the emotions that came with it.
These people were the key to open that closed up heart. If Picollo could completely unlock his heart and get past that tragedy, he would definitely have a better life.
If not, he might never be the same person as he used to be.
As Leo made that choice, he wanted Picollo to have his vengeance without worrying about what he, or other people would say.
What Leo didn't realize is that his plan, although sounded a little realistic, was a double edged sword.
He was only going to find out later if this key unlocked the original Picollo, one that was willing to take any step within legal frameworks to advance science; Or created Picollo version 2.0, a mad scientist that took that forbidden step forward.
The ship rushed through the oceans. Meanwhile, the ship that was brought by the intruders, was still left behind since Leo couldn't control it.
Another team of Glitzy had landed on the island, equipped to tow the ship back to their recycling yard, where they would extract any useful parts to be used by themselves.
....
The ship with Leo landed atop the new Alpha Labs Building, one that wasn't made in a faraway corner.
Instead, this lab was built directly in the protected city nation of Estefan, not far from the Hero Guild Tower.
"You don't have to keep me updated about what you do with these people. I only hope you will not disappoint the people that have lost their lives...."
Leo tossed the five unconscious men out, one after another.
"Also, never take off the precautionary measures that restrict their abilities..." He further said, especially glancing at the leader of the group.
