Ossius, and Malakor were the strongest beings in the Necropolis after Voldred. But comparing their strength to Voldred was like comparing the strength of an ordinary man with a professional fighter.
At the moment, the two people standing before them were the ones that were comparable to Voldred. In fact, the last time Ossius and Malakor had seen these two people, it was during the great war.
Voldred, Selene, Valeroth and other Ancient Monarchs had their own battlefield, where Malakor and Ossius couldn't even enter.
From that battlefield, only three people managed to get out alive. And those three people were the leaders of the three ancient houses that existed today.
Ossius stood on the left of the empty throne where Voldred generally sat. Meanwhile, Malakor stood on the right.
After a long period of silence, Malakor asked, "May I ask what is the meaning of this? Are you declaring a war on Necropolis?"
Malakor took the lead, knowing full well what a hotheaded person Ossius could be, especially as an undead warrior.
"Are we declaring war?" Valeroth raised a brow.
He burst into a furious laughter. Each second of his laughter was like an overwhelming aura spreading around, that made even Ossius and Malakor feel suppressing, with the ground around Valeroth cracking.
After a furious laugh, his eyes turned serious as he asked. "You dare say that I'm declaring war after kidnapping my son and breaking your words? You promised to return him, yet he isn't back. And you say I'm declaring war?!"
"Kidnapped... your son?" Malakor didn't know what this person was talking about. Even Ossius tilted his head sideways.
Ossius moved closer and whispered to Malakor, "You kidnapped Valeroth's son? Why didn't you tell me about it?"
"You fool, why would I kidnap him?" Malakor slapped the back of Ossius' head. "We have no need to kidnap the prince of Nephilim. Also, we didn't even leave this planet."
He glared at Valeroth and said, "I'm sure you also know the reason why he didn't leave? And still you accuse us? Are you looking down on us?"
"I knew you would deny it! As expected of undead insects without any morality. But this time, your lies won't work."
Valeroth raised his hand, and an image crystal appeared above him, which started transmitting the recorded images of the Auction, from the moment that Leo had arrived as an Envoy.
"Is that...?" Ossius wanted to facepalm himself as he saw what was happening.
The most shocking part was that Leo wasn't alone either. In fact, the main person carrying the unconscious prince of Nephilim was none other than Kaelus, the Prince of Necropolis.
This thing... They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"Just what kind of mess is he creating outside?"
Even Malakor couldn't help but scratch the back of his skull, his expressions twisting more and more as he saw the recordings progress.
"We already gave you people the Celestial Lotus you wanted so badly. They were also allowed to leave safely, but despite that, you refuse to return my son? What do I make out of it?" he asked.
"The Celestial Lotus that we wanted badly?" Malakor felt his head spin. Was something wrong with his memories? Or did the entire world go stupid?
Why would they need a Celestial Lotus? After all, those things were growing in their garden like wild grass. Some of them even ate those Lotus as snacks at times.
Moreover, weren't they the ones that gave a Celestial Lotus to Leo? So why would it end up at the auction, only for Leo to then attempt to steal it?
The more they thought about it, the more their head hurt.
"Would you believe me if I said that we didn't know about these things?" Malakor tried explaining. "We had no hand in this kidnapping, and although it was caused by one of us... we weren't the ones who ordered it?"
"Believe my foot! I don't want any excuses! I want my son back, safe and sound! If I don't get him back in two weeks, then Nephilim will officially be in a war with Necropolis!" Valeroth's voice grew louder.
With the declaration, Valeroth didn't wait for a response. He turned around, his long robe fluttering behind him as he flew out.
"I don't want another war. After all, the last war itself consumed the lives of billions. But if there is a war, I would side with Nephilim. After all, you were in the wrong this time as well, just like last time."
Selene also rose in the air, her beautiful wings spreading wide.
"You crossed a line when you touched his family member. So I hope that you can return that child safely. That would be in the best interest of everyone."
She turned around after taking one more glance at the empty throne.
For a brief moment, heavily hostility flickered in her eyes, but she quickly calmed herself.
She flew away, leaving Necropolis Mansion as well, disappearing into the sky.
Meanwhile, Malakor and Ossius were left alone, looking at each other's skulls.
"You ask us to return that child. But who do we ask?" Malakor mumbled, his expressions growing worse with each passing second.
....
Meanwhile, Leo was sitting in Glitzy's Ship.
He suddenly rubbed his ears and wondered out loud, "Is someone talking about me?'
At the moment, the last thing he wanted to do was to return to Necropolis. In fact, deep down, he believed that it was safer to stay away from them for now.
At least until he brought the ship back, along with the two princes.
"Just what is my luck? First, I had to find one missing prince. Now I have to find two missing princes." He rubbed his forehead in frustration.
"Well, let's get my mind off it for now. I should be able to think better when I'm in a better mood. For that, should I mess with the Lionel Family a little more?"
....
Two more days passed in the blink of an eye, but the two days felt like two eternities for the Lionel Family as two more of their branches were blown up.
However, just like before, Leo didn't go too far.
Just before he was to blow up the places, he fired a message to the branch employees from an unknown source that the place was going to blow up.
The employees, after the previous explosions, didn't take things lightly and quickly rushed out.
Even those who thought about saving items in the treasury, didn't dare do it, especially since the message clearly stated that if anyone dared to touch the treasury or any important item from the branch, the explosion was going to occur right away.
Just like that, everyone had enough time to escape before the branch blew up. Unfortunately, although the loss of life was none, the loss for Lionel Family was too much like always.
Four branches... had been blown up in a short time. With that, almost half the Lionel family's bank branches were wiped out, along with everything that they kept in the treasuries.
The Lionel Family was forced to make two harsh decisions.
The first decision was that they were going to close all branches except the main branch at their secure dimensional planet which could only be opened by the family patriarch.
And the second decision was to move all important documents and treasures in the vaults of other branches to the main branch vault.
They also, finally, put down their ego, and asked for the help of the higher authorities beyond their space sector, which agreed to send a representative to investigate the case of this unknown enemy whose messages couldn't be tracked either.
The only person who knew that Leo was behind everything, was Fiona. Unfortunately, she couldn't find any convincing evidence that didn't just rely on her testimony.
During these days, the amount of things that she was breaking out of frustration in her mansion were only multiplying.
Not only was she losing the branches that were assigned to be under her control, but the companies that she had invested in, kept falling farther and farther.
In just over a month, she had lost more than ninety percent of her wealth. And even now, she couldn't find herself to believe it.
How was it possible? Just how was Leo able to achieve it? Who was behind him? She had so many questions but no answers.
Meanwhile, Leo was simply enjoying the Lionel Family, falling apart from a distance, as his bank's construction was finally completed.
