Leo watched the prisoners change their clothes, as he explained to them how these clothes worked.
Hearing the explanation, quite a few prisoners were surprised. However, when they were able to verify the effects, they were very amazed.
In an instant, hundreds of prisoners had gone invisible around Leo. This was truly a magical effect as it didn't need them to have any invisibility skills.
Leo, on the other hand, wore what looked like sunglasses that were previously sent to him by Picollo.
This was the fruit of Alpha Lab's new creation. These glasses were the only thing that allowed Leo to see the prisoners even though they were invisible.
"Let's begin."
Leo removed one more obstruction from their path as he used Voldred's Sword once more to slice through the Metallic Gate, creating an opening.
Once he finished, he took a step back, and let those that were invisible, take the lead.
With the additional invisibility, the prisoners had become even more dangerous. They were like a ghost unit, whose performance Leo was looking forward to, especially from the back.
He kept the sword back in his storage ring, and watched the prisoners rush out.
Leo leaned against the cold stone wall, crossing his arms. He didn't need to fight... not yet.
Through the specialized lenses of his glasses, the hallway appeared crowded, even though it was mostly empty if one looked with naked eyes.
The first wave of Prison Guards rounded the corner, their high-grade pulse rifles leveled at chest height.
The man who was leading the charge on this floor, looked at the gate, then at the empty hallway, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"Where are they?" he barked into his comms. "The thermal sensors are haywire! I see the breach, but the hall is empty!"
He never got an answer.
One of the invisible prisoners, a former high-ranking assassin who had been rotting in the prison, simply stepped into the captain's personal space.
A silver flashed before the man. His eyes widened as his throat opened, blood spraying into seemingly thin air, only to slide off an unseen surface.
Panic spread instantly, especially since no one had seen anything.
"They are invisible?!" a guard screamed, firing blindly into the air.
The invisible unit moved swiftly. Even though a few of them were shot, which caused unfit invisibility to flicker for a moment, the suits were further reinforced and quickly recovered.
The prisoners didn't just kill the guards. They dismantled them, as if they were letting out the frustration that they had suffered for thousands of years.
Rifles were ripped from hands by thin air, and soldiers were pulled into the darkness of the side cells. Leo watched the massacre with a strange calmness.
This was the Alpha Labs field test he had promised them, and the results were spectacular.
Upstairs, the Warden was no longer sipping wine. He was frantically typing at a terminal that refused to respond.
"Sir, the external shields are at 20%!" a technician yelled over the sound of the base vibrating. "The Warlord fleet Crimson Fang is charging their main cannons. They refuse to respond to our messages! Should we surrender?"
"Surrender?" the Warden exclaimed, his face pale. "If I surrender, the Board of Directors will flay me alive. If I don't, these lunatics will destroy the planet. Let me try to contact the master of the prison! He should be able to convince these people to stop!"
"We can't, sir! The communications array was the first thing the strike hit!"
The Warden slumped back into his chair. He looked at the screen again.
Back in the depths, the "ghost unit" had reached the primary lift shaft. The reinforced secondary doors were designed to withstand a tank shell, but they weren't designed for Leo.
Leo stepped forward, the prisoners parting for him like a dark tide. He didn't use the sword this time. Instead, he pulled a small, unassuming black cube from his pocket, another gift from a friend
"The beauty of having friends," Leo said to the invisible crowd
He pressed the cube against the door. A soft echo resonated through the metal, and the lift door simply opened.
Even as the lift was completely shut down under the lockdown protocol, Leo had managed to take control of it with the cube, albeit temporarily.
As the lift doors slid back, Leo looked up the shaft toward the surface, where the muffled sounds of explosions continued to shake the world.
"The exit is a few hundred floors up," Leo announced, his voice echoing. "We should be out soon. But do you all really want to leave just like that?"
Leo'# The question had multiple hidden meanings, and the prisoners understood what he was trying to say.
"While we are at it, shouldn't we have proper revenge? If we can access their database, then we can know who the true owner of this prison was, and the people that actually sent us here to suffer."
"Hah, I also want to punch the face of the smug Warden. My hands had been itching for a long time.
A roar of silent approval rippled through the air as the invisible army stepped into the massive cargo lift.
At the same time, a few of them disabled the invisibility, as they were slowly able to understand how these clothes worked.
They controlled the clothes, to use the nano materials to switch the form of the clothes to what they preferred.
Seeing a few prisoners appearing in cool looking clothes, the others also started, and selected their preferences.
Within seconds, the massive lift was filled with hundreds of people with none of them looking like prisoners.
A few of them looked like some high ranking princes from some planet, while others looked like mysterious men in long robes. A few even preferred to just take the normal professional attire route.
....
Merely the minutes had passed, and the shield of the prison planet was on the verge of breaking.
"Just a few more minutes and we should be through," an Overlord said, sitting lazily on his seat.
Just then, he heard a notification. When he checked the message, his brows rose as he said, "Stop the attack!"
