Jin didn't bother going to the meeting Mrs Horton set up to go over what they learned. He gave them half of the metal from the asteroid and took the rest for his own research.

After one of the ships was destroyed by the Láspi's attack, Jin saw in real time that his stimulant worked perfectly, but he also saw that it wasn't viable for the future.

It was barely a solution since the team that was attacked had burn wounds from the Láspi. Thankfully, that was only the first generation stimulant, not the second generation, so after mass-producing the second generation, things should be fine.

What wasn't fine was the feeling that this wasn't over in Jin's head. He had no clue if the other Láspi were awake and had his sensors and scanners keeping track of everything.

What he needed to do right now was create weapons. A power kit fully decked out with Láspinium was ideal for men, while women without physical powers would use Láspinium energy rifles.

"I can't rule out the possibility that the Láspi wont come back. After all, the central hive is still there. All of that information was transferred to it, and it could make steps to start a full-scale invasion."

Jin took out some blueprints that he had. It was for a device that could create a force field around the whole world. He had been working on this for a while, but it was a side project of his.

Now, it seemed like he needed to finish this faster than he expected.

"Computer, if you start working on this right now, how long will it take?"

[Three months.]

"And if I help you?"

[1 and a half months.]

'I don't know if that's enough time to get this done without anything else happening, but I hope I can finish this soon. It will be a life saver.'

As Jin started to work on a power kit while his computer worked on the force field, there was a knock on his lab door.

"Come in."

"Uhh, Jin. Bad news." Anyssa walked inside

"What's wrong?"

"You're...under arrest." She smiled wryly.

"Huh?" That wasn't something Jin expected to hear. He knew that Anyssa wasn't here to arrest him, even if she had orders to do so. This meant only one thing.

"They're at our door?" He asked

"Yeah."

"Son of a bitch." He gathered everything he needed, stored them in his sub-space, swiped his hand, clearing out his lab as it went into his pocket dimension room, then finally snapped his fingers to remove anything from his bedroom that could be searched.

"Alright, let's go meet these officers."

Anyssa raised an eyebrow. "You're not running away?"

"Why would I?"

"I don't know. That's just something you would do."

He nodded his head. "Valid. But I'm pretty sure this isn't Mrs Horton's doing, so I probably can't fuck around like I usually do."

"True. Well, once you get your phone call, don't hesitate to contact me."

"You got it." Jin walked upstairs and went toward the front door. When he opened it, over thirty Aegis Corps Sentinels were outside the door.

"Jin Telegard, you're under arrest."

"Are you sure I'm not over a work?" His joke fell flat.

"You are to come with us for questioning, or you will be branded as a criminal."

"Understood."

One woman grabbed his arm roughly, so he broke free of her grip, twisted her arm until it broke, and flipped her onto the ground, stomping on her face.

Every single woman held up their hands or weapons, aiming it at Jin's face and chest.

"I'll go with you for questioning, but this doesn't mean you'll treat me roughly. Do it again, and all of your heads will go rolling." He snapped the woman's neck under his foot, but it didn't kill her, only paralyzed her. With healing, she would be back to normal.

Besides, cybernetic implants were normal, and she could get a metallic spine to walk again if needed.

All of the Sentinels nodded, lowering their hands and weapons. They knew how powerful and how much of a threat Jin was, and they knew he was serious about his threat.

They put him in cuffs without any roughhousing and placed him in the back of an armored truck.

"So, what crime have I committed?" Jin wasn't even botherd by being arrested.

"There are many that are listed."

"Ahh, the council is finally taking action, huh?" Jin didn't think the council would act right away.

You see, since Mrs Horton was keeping things with Jin under wraps, he hadn't faced any consequences. But once he left, things changed. His grandmother was supposed to take him in, but since that failed as well, the council sent Sentinels to do the job, these people having no relation to him.

They most likely were going to punish him, but would probably let him go if he gave them his tech and research, which he wasn't planning on doing.

With a threat as big as the Láspi, he was too vital to lose. Mrs Horton knew it, and the Council knew it. This was simply a tactic to force Jin to give them what they wanted.

But he wasn't one to be bossed around and wouldn't be inteimidated by them, especially when he was as powerful as he is currently.

"You have committed a lot of crimes for only being 19 years old." A sentinel said with disappointment.

"So?" Jin shrugged his shoulders.

"Shouldn't you be wanting to settle down and start a family or something? A man shouldn't be doing the things you do."

Jin chuckled. "Sorry I don't meet your standards. I hope you find someone who does."

"Brat!"

"We're here. Get up!"

Jin was currently on Neo Olympus, where the Aegic Corps Council was located. They had a base on the surface as well, but the main one was in the sky.

Its location was top secret, and only high-ranking people knew where it was.

Jin knew as well because this was something he thought he needed to know.

He was taken inside the building via an elevator, as they had entered through an open garage. When he arrived at a certain floor, he was directed to a room that had double doors.

"The council awaits you." The Sentinal said, motioning toward the door.

"Can I get some water for my dry throat?" He asked

"Go inside, now."

"Make me." He smirked

"Jin, that's enough. Don't make this worse for you than it already is." Mrs Horton started walking down the hall to him.

"Hurray, my guardian angel is here!" He said sarcastically.

"Let's go inside. Hopefully I can clear your name before anything crazy in space happens. You are too valuable to lose."

"That's all I am to you, a valuable asset."
