Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 153: The Council Hall

Jin walked inside the Council hall behind Mrs Horton with high-tech handcuffs around his wrists to prevent him from doing anything stupid.

The room was dark, the only light source being on the floor where Jin was directed to stand.

When he stood in the middle of the room, the sound of a gavel slamming down echoed in the room, followed by a voice.

"We will now start the trial of Jin Telegard for his crimes against the Aegis Corps and the Military!"

A chuckle escaped Jin's mouth. It was subtle, barely audible, but some women in this room had super hearing, so they were able to hear his chuckle.

"Face forward, Jin Telegard." A woman demanded.

Doing as she said, Jin faced forward, then some dim lights turned on, showing six thrones with six women sitting on them, as well as hundreds of women around the room sitting in an arena-like stand.

Among those six women sitting on the thrones, his grandmother was one of them, and she didn't look too pleased to see Jin here, but her expression wasn't that of worry, only disappointment.

Close to Jin, around the middle of the room, was a pedestal with a woman standing at it. A mic was close to her mouth, and she had a gavel in her hands.

"The council has spoken, and you, Jin, will now be questioned. If your answers do not align with what we expect or know, then you will be locked away. Do you understand?" The woman at the pedestal asked.

Jin stared into her eyes, not answering her question. He already knew that the council knew exactly what he was doing when he hacked into their systems and so on. This power play they were trying to show wasn't frightening in the slightest to him.

"Jin, answer." Mrs Horton advised

"Heh." He shook his head, then turned his attention to his grandmother. "Is this what you wanted to see?"

"Jin Telegard! You are only authorized to speak when spoken to! Do not speak otherwise. Do you understand?!" The woman slammed her gavel on the sounding block, but Jin didn't pay any attention to that.

"You are here on trial, not a vacation, Jin. Do not mistake this for some simple meeting." Jerrica warned. "You shall only speak when Carlyphonder speaks to you."

"Sure, sure. A simple meeting to bully me into doing what you guys want, right? Fucking clowns."

Carlyphonder, the woman with the gavel, clicked a button on the pedestal, shocking Jin's handcuffs.

He was taken aback slightly, not expecting to be electrocuted, but that was all there was to it. With ease, he broke out of the handcuffs, then lunged at Carlyphonder, but then chains made of energy wrapped around his arms and legs, stopping him from moving.

"Scared?" He asked

"Attacking a member of this Council will result in life in prison, or in some situations, death," Carlyphonder spoke, expecting her words to strike fear into Jin.

"Really? I wonder how far I can get before all of you are able to kill me then. Would you like to test things out?" Jin could break out of the chains if he wanted, but he stayed still.

"What a psycho."

"This is the grandson of Councilwoman Jerrica? What a disappointment."

"He needs to know his place!"

"I say lock him up!"

"Order!" Carlyphonder slammed her gavel. "We will have order!"

The hall went silent.

"Jin Telegard, let's try this again. You will now be questioned. If your answers do not align with what we expect or know, then you will be locked away. Do you understand?"

"Sure." He responded.

Carlyphonder smiled, finally 'getting through' to him.

"Question one. Were you constantly breaking into the Aegis Corps system to lower our defenses to an attack, be it by an extremist group or another country?"

Jin's eyes lit up. "Damn, now that I'm thinking about it, that's not a bad idea. Let me add that to my list."

Mrs Horton shook her head, and Jerrica sighed.

"So I take it that you were trying to harm the Aegis Corps."

"No, you dumb fuck. If I wanted to do something stupid like that, then I would have joined the Sons of Adam instead of destroying them. But you have Carl in your name. Are we sure you aren't an enemy? After all, Carls are not to be trusted."

Carlyphonder sucked her teeth. "This trial is about you, not me."

"Deflection. Something a Carl would do."

"Question two. Are you responsible for bringing this Láspi to our world in order to take over the planet?"

Jin didn't know if she was joking or not because that question was utterly stupid. "What kind of dumbass question is that? It was your team who encountered the Láspi first."

"Yes, or no?"

"Suck my dick, how about that?" Jin responded

"Jin Telegard, if you continue to answer—"

"Why don't we get to the real reason why I'm here, huh?" Jin interrupted her. "I'm sure these idiotic questions were just to fuck with my head so you can have an easy pick at it for the true questions you wish to ask. Also, tell that bitch to stop trying to get in my head, it wont work."

Jin looked to the side and stared at a woman who was trying to read his mind. She was taken aback, not expecting him to notice what she was doing.

"You are not in any position to—"

"Carlyphonder, that's enough." A woman with red hair said, motioning for Carlyphonder to cease with her questions.

"Jin, you're smart, very smart. So, tell us. Do you have a way to stop this Láspi?" The red-haired woman asked

"I do not."

"Can I take it that you're trying to figure out a way to do so?"

"I am."

"And are you willing to share this information with the Aegis Corps?"

"Fuck. No."

She squinted her eyes.

"What a bold man." A blond-haired woman chuckled. "It's almost as if you have no fear. Boy, do you know who you're standing in front of?"

The hall started to shake as an intense pressure descended onto Jin. Normally, this pressure would be able to force anyone to their knees, feeling as if their bodies were being crushed. But Jin stood firm, not even phased by the pressure.

"You're not a god. Why the fuck would I be scared of you?"
