Jin knew that it would take a while for the information he wanted to surface. The Aegis Corps has been around for a minimum of one thousand years, and that was the current organization that exists to this day.

Before the current Aegis Corps, which was founded 1,000 years ago, there was a smaller organization known as the Women of Aegis, and they were a group that did things no government was able to do.

This eventually led to the founding of the proper Aegis Corps.

Surprisingly, Jin's family was among the original founders. The same could be said for Addison's family and Angela's family. But their families were just one of hundreds that formed the Corps. Also, Jin's family wasn't one to be in the spotlight, so they never gained influence or became a powerful family in terms of business and assets. But they were extremely powerful to the point where everyone respected them.

Each time Jin hacked into an organization's servers, he downloaded their data so he could access it at all times.

"What the hell? No way you caught a virus!" Jin ran a diagnostic check on his computer, and when he got the results back, he saw that nothing was wrong with it.

"How can...Ohhhhh! Hahahahaha! You're evolving!" Jin made his computer in the image of Tessa, his friend's super-intelligent Artificial life form. Tessa, at her core, was just a supercomputer, but after constant evolution, became akin to a person born of flesh.

[Jin! I'm back. Sorry about that.]

"It's all good. You evolved, so that's awesome. I was hoping that would be the case. I saw hints of you evolving, but it didn't seem like you were going to improve past that."

[Well, here I am now! Anyway, give me a name! I don't like being called a computer.]

"Jess. That will be your name." Jin always planned on naming his computer if it managed to evolve to such a state. He also programmed it to be 'feminine.'

[Jess? I like that. Anyway, as I was saying, the data with the Women Enhancement Program is all in my database, but that was only public data, to some degree. The rest of this data is hidden behind something called the 'Black Box.' I have no idea what this is, but this area is like super duper protected. Breaking through the firewalls and so on can alert the Aegis Corps and even delete data.]

Jin already knew about the auto data deletion for vital information, but this was different. This Black Box wasn't something he knew of at all. This was so deep in the Aegis Corps system that it was as if it wasn't there to begin with.

"Open it. I don't care how long it takes and what you do to get it open. Don't worry about the Aegis Corps. If push comes to shove, I'll destroy them if I have to. Just get me that data."

[You got it, partner!]

The Láspi in space finally made it to the planet where their central hive mind was. It took a minute, but they managed to make it back to their central hive, where they were born.

The hive mind was one massive Láspi with a black ball in the middle of its goopy body, a core. If this core were destroyed, every Láspi connected to it would die. But this was easier said than done.

It was a bit of a Láspi to get through the planet's magnetosphere, but since it was so thin and weak, the Láspi made it through with ease. Not to mention that the hive mind was there for ages, so it adapted to the magnetosphere.

"Returned, we have! Information we deliver. Eveolution, we will undergo!" The Láspi said as it returned to its hive.

The closer it got, the dumber it became. This was because the central hive mind didn't need to extend its intelligence to it and could control it with its will. Every strand of the Láspi made the central hive mind more intelligent, and the central hive mind relayed that intelligence back to its strands.

"Good. Now, we will merge together and evolve to a further state, allowing us to take that planet and feast on its creatures. But Jin, an ancient enemy of ours, needs to be dealt with!"

The central hive continued to merge with every Láspi strand that arrived on the planet, further strengthening itself until it evolved.

An explosion of energy destroyed the area where the Central hive was, and its core started to get pushed deeper and deeper into its gooey body. Its clear body turned into a tan color, arms and legs sprouted from its body, and the central hive morphed into what looked to be a human.

"Hmmm. This is convenient, but only slightly. I prefer my original form, but this isn't so bad." It swung its arm, creating a ravine with its power.

"My power is also pretty good. And these new powers from those humans I ate, fascinating." The Láspi's eyes started to glow, and it blasted lasers from its eyes.

"Hahaha! This is great! I shall go over all of the knowledge in my head and get accustomed to these new abilities. The rest of you, infiltrate the planet. With each death, we evolve, and only one of you needs to survive. Once you do, I shall come. I hope she keeps her end of the bargain." The Central hive distributed its power to all of its strands, making it stronger than normal, also giving them an extra boost from a visitor that came to it not too long ago.

The rest of the Láspi, the other half that didn't return to the planet, all took on humanoid forms, splitting off into thousands of strands. Their goal was to take over the planet so they could feed and evolve, but since the magnetosphere was too strong, they had no choice but to die in order to achieve greatness.

But they wouldn't die in vain. They would weaken humanity while strengthening themselves. And to do that, attached themselves to every asteroid in the belt and rained half of them down onto the planet.
