"I don't like this." Brittany groaned, trying her best to meditate and absorb mana. "It's too hard."

"Well, yeah, it's not supposed to be easy. Learning how to utilize mana can take months to years. You didn't even know mana was in your body until I told you. Besides, it's only been a day, you won't understand how to use it right away."

"Ughh! But my powers came so easily to me!"

Jin frowned. He already told her that powers were like moving a limb, so it was natural for them to come easily to women. Mana was completely different. While some people, such as himself, can use mana as easily as blinking, that was only a select few.

Most people need to learn it, like how people learn how to ride a bike or drive. It was a skill that didn't come naturally. Some people could pick it up with ease, while others had to work really hard for it.

Angela and Addison were also here with Jin and Brittany, trying their best to use mana.

Jin had tested their bodies to see if they absorbed mana, and yeah, they did. He and Angela had tons of sex, so Jin wasn't surprised that she was flowing with mana.

Addison, on the other hand, was weird. She did have traces of mana in her body, but when Jin made her feel what mana was, her powers absorbed it and made it her power. Angela's powers were a combination of mana and her DNA now.

This really didn't change anything, though. She could still use the two separately or together. She even had a mana ring around her heart.

In fact, Addison was the best one out of the three when it came to absorbing mana and circulating it through their bodies.

Angela wasn't doing shit. Jin actually thought she was doing well until he noticed that she was sleeping. Brittany was barely able to absorb mana, but Addsion was killing it.

"Keep it up, Addison. Soon, you'll be strong like me, hahaha!" Jin felt proud, like a teacher.

Addison relaxed, momentarily stopping her mana circulation. "If I become as strong as you, then I'd be stronger than you because I have powers and you don't."

"Is that cockiness I'm hearing?" Jin smirked.

"Maybe."

"Hahahaha! Sure. You might be able to contend with me, but that is only if you break through your limitations."

"Limitations?" Addison thought that you just needed to keep absorbing mana to get stronger, but that wasn't the case in the slightest.

"The body undergoes five reconstruction stages. Each stage improves the body, setting it up for the next stage. The higher the stage, the more difficult it will be to reconstruct your body. You haven't even reached the first stage."

Addison became quiet for a bit, looking down at her hands before speaking again.

"Which of these body stages are you at?" She wondered

"The fourth stage. It's called Body Transformation. It reconstructs your organs, in and out, as well as your bones. After that, it's Body Rejuvenation. That basically resets your body, allowing you to start from scratch while keeping your current power. Think of it as New Game Plus but in real life."

"Ha, that name is funny. Can you rejuvenate yourself to become a baby again?"

"Yes."

Addison stared into Jin's eyes with disbelief.

"What? It's true. I've done it plenty of times. You can choose how you wish to rejuvenate. Each time I did it, I started from a toddler. You don't understand how funny it was to fight against these 'old men' as a little kid, even though I was centuries older than them. Man, it was fucking epic!"

"Why haven't you done that rejuvenation thingy?"

"My body needs to be strengthened more. Reaching the rejuvinative state is almost never achieved by people. Hell, it took me a while until I was able to reach that point with ease. My mana is currently strengthening my body as we speak, slowly making it stronger so I can reach that state."

"Then, when I reach that state, I'll—"

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Angela woke up, freezing the air around her on instinct. "What happened, what's going on?"

"Did you set an alarm for something?" Brittany asked

"No. That's my defense system. It's a warning." Jin went to see what it was.

"Oh, great. We're under attack again!" Brittany stretched her limbs, then got ready for a fight. She would never turn one down.

"No, it's not the house defense system, it's the planet defense system." Jin pulled up the live feed from space.

"Dude, you have a planetary defense system?!" Angela jumped on Jin's back to see what he was doing.

"Yeah. Nothing too grand. Just a few miniature satellites that act as an early warning system and can fire lasers."

Addison chuckled. "Nothing too grand, he says."

"What's going on, Jin? Why are there asteroids coming toward the planet at high speeds?"

"Angela, if I knew the answer to that, I would have told you by now. Let me look. Jess, enhance the image and increase the pixels. I think I can see something on the asteroids."

[You got it!]

The girls were all informed about Jess when they arrived at his house earlier, so they weren't surprised by her sounding human.

[Looks like a person.]

Jin frowned. "Yeah, but that person is dead. That's a Láspi." Jin zoomed out and saw that out of all of the asteroids that were heading toward the planet, all of them had a person on them, and those people were ones who were dead.

"All of them are Láspi. Look, some of the appearances even repeat."

Angela gripped Jin's body too hard, and his bones started to creak. "I thought you killed it!"

"I thought I killed the strand that was in space. But I'm not surprised that more exist. After all, the Central Hive Mind still exists. Also, stop squeezing me, I can't breathe."

"Sorry."

"What do we do?" Addison asked

"What do you mean? Just let them fall. They'll die from the magnetosphere while my defense system and the defense system of the Aegis Corps wipe out the asteroids. This doesn't even include them burning up in the atmosphere."
