Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 159: Light up the sky

Jin, Angela, Brittany, and Addison watched in real time as the asteroids approached the atmosphere. It was dangerous to allow celestial objects to rain down on the planet, so the defense system that the Aegis Corps had in space was activated automatically.

However, before the asteroids even made it to the atmosphere, the Láspi started burning up. Since the magnetosphere extended far beyond the planet, even further than the atmosphere, the Láspi had no chance of invading the planet.

"What do you think they were trying to accomplish?" Brittany asked

"The Láspi can adapt to their weaknesses, but it's extremely hard for them to do so. So hard that they never try to adapt, and instead overwhelm the planet with their sheer number and constant evolution."

Addison didn't understand what Jin meant. "Can you explain more about that?"

"On Noxos, the Láspi were able to enter the planet, but they were still affected by the magnetosphere. However, they kept absorbing people, constantly evolving to lessen the effects." Jin explained

"T-Than do you think they are doing the same thing here?" Angela wasn't trying to turn into a goopy monster.

"Yeah, but it won't work. The only reason the Láspi on Noxos were able to do that was because of their Main hive mind, also known as the Planetary Hive Mind. But the Main Hive Mind was destroyed, and the Colony Hive Minds don't have the same power as the Main Hive Mind. Besides, this planet's magnetosphere is significantly powerful than normal. I personally saw to that."

"But what if they are trying to do this anyway?" Brittany wouldn't put it past them, especially after encountering them a few times.

"That would be extremely dumb of them. They don't even know that the magnetosphere is stronger than normal. First, we'll see how things go, and if they go poorly, then we'll make a move then."

"Okay."

The four of them continued to watch as the Láspi burned up before they even reached the atmosphere, and the Aegis Corps defense systems started blasting the asterpids out of the sky.

Each space rock was vaporized, leaving no trace of debris behind, including the Láspi.

This, however, didn't stop them from trying to invade the planet. In fact, the Láspi started replicating itself just so it could continue its assault.

Jin was positive that the Láspi understood that this planet's magnetosphere was stronger than normal, but it kept killing itself over and over again just to make it past it.

Eventually, one Láspi did make it through, but it was nearly dead, and the moment it touched the uppermost layer of the atmosphere, it burned up and died.

This didn't happen again until five minutes later, except that two Láspi made it to the atmosphere, where they then burned up and died.

"How?" Jin truly didn't understand how the Láspi could even make it past the magnetosphere. It should be impossible in their current state. He did the math, he had the expierence, and he even prepared for a moment like this, yet the Láspi still managed to pull through.

Jin teleported out of the house and flew up into space. He didn't understand how the Láspi were making it through, but he would find out why.

He flew toward one of the Láspi, grabbed it by the throat, then shocked it with so much lightning that it started to bubble, then exploded.

After collecting the goop, he quickly analyzed it to see what was so different about the Láspi.

"Their genetic composition is the same. The signals they are receiving from their central hive mind are stronger than normal, but that's not surprising since the Láspi are trying to invade the planet. Even with their fast evolution, they shouldn't be able to evolve this quickly. It's like they have mana in their...oh fuck!"

Jin quickly did a mana search, and there it was, mana in the system of the Láspi. It was only a small amount, not enough to be noticed by mages unless they actively searched for small traces of mana.

That wasn't all that worried him. He could tell that the mana was directly tied to whatever made the Láspi evolve faster. This means that the central hive mind was also able to wield mana to some degree.

"Fuck! They're not forcing adaptation through mana! How the hell did they get access to mana? It wasn't me! I made sure of that! I-Is there someone else here who can use mana? But the will of the world told me that no one else could!"

Jin faced the planet and had his mana sense spread across the entire world. If someone could use mana, his senses would ping it, and he would be able to locate that person, but he got nothing.

Instead, he changed his target and faced the moon, and once more, he got nothing; however, there was something that pinged his senses, hundreds of thousands of them in fact.

The entire asteroid belt had mana around it, and when Jin saw this, he knew things were about to get nasty.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me! Ever since I came to this world, I feel like someone has been fucking with me! Now you're telling me that the Láspi can use mana? Fuck! This isn't new, but it's always bad news!"

"Jin? Can you hear me? You need to get down from there right now!" Angela alerted him through the coms he had in his power kit.

"Not now, Angela. I've learned something extremely important, and I have to deal with it."

"No, Jin, you have to get down now! It's the Aegis Corps; they are going to blow up the entire asteroid belt!"

"What?" Jin looked at the Láspi and saw one smiling.

'They knew. The memories of the people they consumed. They wanted this to happen. And they were waiting to acquire mana this whole time. Pieces of the puzzle were starting to fall into place.

Jin wondered why the Láspi never went after the planet and only attacked the moon. He wondered why they never did anything, even after getting the memories of the workers on the station, some of whom were in extremely high positions.

He also wondered why the Láspi had never made a move until now. After all, they have been in this solar system for at least a million years. Even if it had been tough, they could have eventually made their way to the planet to take it over. But they never did.

Jin was confident now. 'There's someone behind the scenes orchestrating all of this!'

"Tell them to stop now! This is what—"

It was too late.

A beam the size of the moon flew right past Jin at the speed of light and struck the asteroid belt, blowing up every asteroid there.
