Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 164: World News

Jin, Angela, Brittany, and Addison continued to make their way around the crash sites on Olympus, trying to find whether any of the Láspi survived the crash.

So far, they had searched 20 crash sites, and all came back negative for Láspi activity, which was a good thing. Jin was going to destroy these strands since they were too dangerous.

He even took extreme precautions when keeping a small Láspi to himself for research. He wasn't stupid enough to have a larger piece, nor was he stupid enough to experiment on them without the proper knowledge and equipment.

It was obvious that the Aegis Corps would try to experiment on them, and Jin wanted to prevent that from happening.

"Halt! This is a restricted area! Turn around." Two military guards demanded Jin and his girls.

The three women took out their badges, showing that they were a part of the Aegis Corps.

"Can you let us through now?" Brittany asked

"Sorry, but it says that you three are only operatives. Only Bulwarks and above are allowed." The guard explained

"That's bullshit!"

"Those are our orders, ma'am. We are just following them."

Jin frowned. "Move, or I'll make you."

"Haha, sir, no offense, but what can you do to us?"

It's been a while since Jin was bade fun of for being a man. So long that he forgot how annoying it was.

"Don't worry, Jin, I got this." Brittany grabbed both of them with her powers, then flung them away. "Problem solved."

He smiled. "Yeah." His hand stopped generating mana.

They all slid down the crater and spotted a few scientists examining the asteroid. When Jin used his Láspi as a beacon, he got a response.

"There's one here." He told the others.

"We gotta stop them before they make it stronger!" Brittany teleported next to the scientists, then teleported them away from the asteroids.

Angela created a dome of ice around them so no one could get in, and Addison stood watch.

Jin picked up the piece of rock that had the Láspi on it. He saw how hurt it was and noticed it was barely clinging to life. This didn't make him feel sad or anything. In fact, it made him grin like a madman as he crushed the life out of the creature.

Once his job was finished, he left the crash site.

"What are you doing?! You can't just come here and mess with the work of the Aegis Corps and the Military! This is a grand offence, and you will be getting in serious trouble for this!" One of the scientists yelled.

"Heh, yeah, sure." Brittany wasn't worried about the repercussions of her actions. She was probably hanging around Jin too much.

"Let's move on to the next site."

For the rest of the day, the four of them went to every crash site on Olympus and on the surface. Out of all 100 crash sites, they found three Láspi and quickly disposed of them.

They were getting a lot of pushback, especially from the higher-ups, but Jin didn't care about any of that and made sure that none of the Láspi had survived the crash.

"Is that all?" Jin asked

[Yes.]

"Good. Now, let's start going over our plans that are related to killing the hive mind."

---

"Miss Lockman, we were only able to find and capture two Láspi. According to the reports, Jin looked around at every crash site and killed three of them, two of which were in Aegis Corps and Military custody." A woman reported

"This is good enough. Even one would have been fine. Good work. Keep this off the records, I don't want Jin finding out about this."

"Understood."

"Are the Láspi locked in their cells?"

"Yes. They are in an underground prison specifically designed to weaken them at the North Pole. Every person working there has lightning or electric powers, and their cells are constantly pumped with electrical energy."

Miss Lockman nodded. "Things are going as planned."

"T-There is one problem, however."

"What is it?"

"It's the media. They've gotten wind of what's going on, and now the whole world knows that we've encountered an alien species. Some people even booked flights to the moon to move there."

"What? Who leaked that information?"

"I don't know. But the other countries came out and said that we are also hoarding a rare metal that can amplify powers. They are pressuring us, Miss Lockman."

She clenched her fists and slammed her hands on a table. This was the worst time to have the whole world know about the current situation.

"Did we give a statement?"

The woman shook her head. "The media is saying that our silence is speaking for us."

"Find out who it is that leaked this information. I want them dealt with. I'll speak with the council to see what we should say. Is there anything else I need to know before I make my reports?"

"Yes. If this is correct, the other nations are sending representatives over to our country to have a talk about the current state of the world."

"Heh. That's just them saying that they're trying to see what we have going on, and if we don't show them, they'll make us regret it."

"What should we do?" The woman asked with a worried tone.

"We have no choice but to welcome them with open arms. Show them that we don't plan on hoarding the Láspinium while also giving them information we have on the Láspi."

"But that..."

"Unless we have another way to shut them up, we have no choice. Unless we want to go to war, that is."

"I don't think war is a good response. That would make us look even worse than we already do."

Miss Lockman agreed. "I will speak with the council to see what our next course of action should be. You are dismissed."

"Understood." The woman left the room.

Miss Lockman sighed and locked the door. She took a seat, placed her holo-tablet on the table, and clicked a digital button, revealing a woman on the other end.

"Madam Eve, I have something to tell you."
