Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 165: Representatives

It didn't take long for representatives from other countries to arrive in Othrys, as it was the country that everyone was angry at because of everything that had gone down recently.

Othrys was a powerful country, the most powerful in the world, but this didn't mean that they were unbeatable. However, this meant that smaller countries wouldn't be sending a representative because their opinions meant nothing in the grand scheme of things.

So, collectively, the smaller countries planned on forming a union to actually make their voice be heard.

This, however, didn't matter to the second and third most powerful countries in the world.

The second most powerful country was called Ouranos. This country was actually the most powerful country in the world, but this was before three major events happened.

The first was that Othrys managed to develop more advanced technology and was able to form the proper Aegis Corps before the other countries. The second was the Telegard family. Jin's family was immigrants, and one of his ancestors came to this country to start fresh.

This then led the rest of the Telegard family to migrate to Othrys, weakening Ouranos. The last was the existence of Mrs Horton. She tipped the scales even more in favor of Othrys because of how powerful she was.

Ouranos never liked that another country took their spot, but they couldn't do anything about it. But once this event with the Láspi got out, they hopped on board to bring Othrys down.

The third most powerful country is Tatarus. The people there are strict, disciplined, and well-educated. They also don't tolerate bullshit and are very, very, very classist. Roby was from this country, and he didn't really like it there.

Men in Tartarus are treated like servants and have enough rights to make the other countries get off their backs. On the bright side, crime there is nearly non-existent in most areas because of the strict rules.

But where there is little law enforcement, there is heavy crime.

Two aircraft landed on the roof of the Aegis Corps building, both of them belonging to Ouranos and Tartarus. A woman for each airframe stepped off, followed by a male assistant.

The representatives gave each other a quick glance, then looked away, walking toward Mrs Horton and Miss Lockman, who were waiting for them on the landing pad.

"Welcome to the Othrys Aegis Corps. It's an honor to have you with us today." Miss Lockman smiled

"Where's the Láspinium?" The Tartarus representative asked

The directness of the representative irked Miss Lockman, but she held it in. It wouldn't be good if her attitude sparked a world war.

"Please, follow us." She led the way.

"Lacey." The Ouranos representative spoke, speaking to Mrs Horton.

"Holly." Mrs Horton spoke back.

The two of them had a history together and used to be friends. They had a falling out some decades ago.

Miss Lockman led the two representatives, alongside Mrs Horton, to the underground facility where they kept the Láspinium. Of course, all of it wasn't there, but the two of them didn't need to know it.

The Othrys Aegis Corps gathered a good portion of their Láspinium and split it in half for each representative to take back home. The weights of them were the same, and they were cut evenly, so everything was fair. It was also in the shape of a large cube.

In total, they both weighed about 200 pounds. This was a lot of Láspinium that the Othrys Aegis Corps was giving up, but it was worth it to shut the countries up.

Holly examined the metal and pulled out a scanner. She checked to see if the metal was legit since it looked like silver.

"Your scanners wont be able to pick up the metal since it's not an element from our world." Miss Lockman informed her.

Just as she finished speaking, the scanner beeped, and a green light flashed, telling Holly that it was indeed Láspinium.

"You were saying?" She did the same with the other Láspinium cube and confirmed that it was also legit.

"H-How?"

"Our spy sent us a sample, remember?" Holly didn't even care to hide the fact that they had a spy in the ranks of the Othrys Aegis Corps.

"Good." The Tartarus representative took out a device, tapped the Láspinium cube, and then it vanished into the device. "Take us to the Láspi now." She demanded

"T-That...They were all destroyed." Miss Lockman spoke up.

"Do you take me for a fool?" The representative started to get agitated, but Mrs Horton calmed her down before things escalated.

"We'll take you there. Let's go."

"But Mrs Horton, the Láspi's location is classified. Only you, I, and the council know of its existence. It's not even on record. Taking them there is..."

"Don't worry. They won't know where it is located. Follow me." Mrs Horton led the five of them to a teleporter, which took them to a whole new facility where the Láspi they captured were being experimented on.

"Incredible!" The Tartarus representative walked closer to the creature.

"Careful, Polybotea. It may be confined, but we don't know what can happen." Mrs Horton warned.

"I'm not afraid of a smile monster, Lacena."

Mrs Horton's eye twitched. She hadn't heard anyone use her real name in ages.

"Well." She cleared her throat. "This slime monster is an alien that feeds on organic matter to evolve. It has already taken hundreds of our Vanguards and Gardians. The asteroid shower was them as well."

Polybotea took a second to think before speaking again, also taking a step back as a precaution.

"Give us a piece of the alien to study. Tartarus is interested in the creature." Polybotea demanded.

"Ouranous us as well." Holly joined in.

"Absolutely not! This creature is WAY too dangerous to be transported or studied elsewhere."

"And why is that?" Holly asked

"Because we not only expierenced what it can do, but have the knowledge to combat it, as well as a vaccine to prevent us from getting eaten by the damn alien."

Holly and Polybotea's ears perked up. "What kind of vaccine?"
