Brigida managed to duck, avoiding the death scythe that took the lives of all of her comrades and coworkers. She was heavily taken aback, barely able to dodge the attack, and saw the power Jin possessed.
She tapped her fists against each other, charging up her power, and took a stance.
"There's no going back from this, Jin. You will surrender and hand over the Aegis Corps property that you stole!" Brigida lunged at Jin, her powers creating a pulsing sound that echoed in the room.
When she punched Jin in the face, creating an explosion so destructive that half of the large room was destroyed, her arm instantly snapped in half, and her attack did no damage to Jin in the slightest.
"Argh—ghhnn!" She couldn't even finish her scream when Jin grabbed her by the mouth, lifting her up in the air, staring into her face with his cold, dead, yet angry eyes.
"Property?" He asked, his voice low, full of pain and anger. "You dare to call my mother your property?!"
His hand started to squeeze her face, Brigida feeling her jaw start to move from its correct spot. Her head was being crushed, and she kept punching Jin in the chest and face, but nothing worked.
"Code black! Code Black! Summon everyone! This is a threat to our national defense! Code Black!" The remaining Vanguards and Guardians who weren't a part of the initial slaughter radioed the situation to the higher-ups, calling for backup.
"J-JIn!" Brigida managed to get out. "It's n-not too late!" Her voice was muffled by Jin's hand, but she still spoke.
"S-Surrender yourself, and you won't r-receive as harsh a punishment."
Even in his anger, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Even in your situation, you're still threatening me. I'm done being the nice guy. I'm done looking the other way, turning the other cheek. I. Am. Done."
"Nnngghh! Arrghhh! ARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" All Brigida could feel was pain. It was too much pain, and she tried her best to break free of Jin's grip, but it was for naught.
He squeezed her head until it burst in his hand like a grape, covering his hand in blood, while his face was struck with some as well.
"The Aegis Corps falls today." Those words alone struck fear in everyone there, causing them to panic.
"K-Kill him!" A canguard shouted.
Hundreds of laser blasts rained down on Jin's location as if he were walking under a storm cloud. From his perspective, everything moved in slow motion, and nothing was even coming close to hitting him.
He took a few steps forward, moving like a blur to the eyes of his enemies, but simply walking from his perspective.
Lasers were swatted away, energy grenades were crushed in his hands, and pulsar rockers were turned around, heading back toward the guardians who fired them.
Even sound moved slowly from Jin's perspective. But to everyone else, it was pure horror.
"Ahhhh!"
"My arm!"
"Garghhh!"
"F-Fuck! My leg!"
"S-Stop him!"
"He's too fast!"
"Watch out!"
"Oh god! Oh god!"
"He's crazy!"
Jin moved around faster than everyone could see, killing people left and right. He cut off the head of a speedster who dared to challenge him in a foot race, and shoved it into the chest of another one, killing both of them.
He quickly moved to his next victim, kicking her chest in and having all of her chest bones cave into her heart.
Jin then cut two guardians in half by the waist, then split a guardian in half vertically, starting from the bottom and cutting up.
One woman attacked Jin from behind, but he had already noticed her and struck her chest with his palm, removing her torso from her body.
Then, in quick succession, he instantly killed everyone in the room, his body covered in blood as he stood over thousands of dead bodies.
"Jin Telegard!" A voice came from above.
Looking up, Jin saw that the entirety of the Aegis Corps had arrived. Every rank of the vanguards, the remaining council members, Mrs Horton, Director Trinity, and even Anyssa and Oculia.
"What have you done?!" Atalana demanded to know.
"I've read the contents inside the black box." He said in a low tone.
Everyone who knew what that was shifted uncomfortably.
"You've read what was inside the black box, I get that. But to do this? Are you mad?" Jerrica asked
Jin couldn't believe what she was saying. He wanted to give her grandmother the benefit of the doubt, but she was on the council when his mother was 'killed', so she knew about the contents in the black box.
"After learning what you've done, your reasoning behind...throwing me away, I wanted to slightly forgive you. But to think that even you would use my mother, your own daughter, as a fucking battery for this blasted weapon really pisses me off!" Jin's energy exploded from his body, all of his rage and anger being released through his power.
"What? What are you talking about?! What battery?!" Jerrica asked
"Don't listen to his lies, Jerrica." Atalana urged her.
Jin's eyes widened. "You don't know." He felt somewhat relieved.
"Don't know what? What are you talking about?!"
Jin opened a portal, gently pulling his mother through it, showing her to his grandmother and Mrs Horton.
"My baby girl," Jerrica said with a strained voice, rushing over to her.
"J-Jessa?" Mrs Horton did the same.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Jerrica demanded to know. "Who dared to use my daughter as a weapon?! Who dared to keep this from me?! Who dares?!"
Atalana sighed. "We knew you wouldn't agree with this, so we kept it hidden from you. Don't blame us. Blame Carly."
Jin had no idea Atalana was in on this as well. And by the looks of things, Mavena knew about this as well.
Everything was falling apart in front of his eyes, and he was tired of seeing everything crumble because of the people around him.
"You all will pay!" Jerrica stood up with tears in her eyes.
"You won't get away with this." Mrs Horton agreed.
"Stand down. This is your final warning." Mavena was the one to speak up this time.
All around them, millions of agents were present. Some were even transcendants, not as powerful as the heavy hitters here, but still powerful.
"Jin." Jerrica looked at him with teary eyes, pleading for him to be on her side.
He didn't like his grandmother, even after learning everything about her. But right now, he wasn't the Jin who hated his grandmother. He was the Jin who was going to protect his family at all costs, even if that meant going against the world.
He sent his mother back to safety, then attacked the Aegis Corps.
