"J-Jin?!" Mavena backed away, using time to reverse the injury she suffered.

Upon seeing this, Jin snapped his finger and reversed the reversed time, making Mavena expierence the injury once more.

"Arghh! W-What? How?!"

"You can never judge a book by its cover. Normally, people use that phrase when referring to a horrible outside but a great inside. However, the opposite is true as well. You are the opposite in this situation." Jin said calmly.

"You don't know what you've just done! The other nations will come after us now!"

A chuckle escaped his mouth. "I don't care. I would do anything for my mother, even if I had to burn this fucking world to the ground to get her back."

Mavena sped up the time around her body to escape, but Jin wasn't going to allow that.

He chased after her, closing the distance in an instant. Right as he was about to grab the back of her neck, a hand stabbed her through the chest from the front.

"What do you think you're doing?" Brittany asked as she had teleported in front of her.

"Hmph. Don't think you can get away with hurting my mother-in-law and not get punished by us!" Angela froze her body, leaving her head untouched,

"Because of that, we'll be the ones to kill you for our beloved." Addison grabbed Mavena's head and roasted her alive.

"Arghhhh!!!! Ahhhh! Arrrgrghhhhhhh!"

A smile crept onto Jin's face as he saw the three women he loved step in to aid him.

Upon seeing their councilwomen get killed, all of the Vanguards and Guardians backed down and surrendered.

"Ha! That's right, pussies! Back off!" Oculia shouted, panting heavily.

Anyssa was also breathing heavily, but she was glad things were over now.

"What do you want to do?" Jerrica asked Jin.

He looked up in the sky, watching Mrs Horton battle Director Trinity. The battle was intense, but he could see that Mrs Horton was going to win, so he turned his attention back to the people who surrendered.

"I don't take prisoners." He swiped his hand, killing all of them in one go. "Now, I will destroy what's left of the Aegis Corps."

"Stand down! You were never against Jin. He may forgive you!" Mrs Horton begged Trinity.

"I can't do that! My life has always been dedicated to the Aegis Corps, and without them, I wouldn't be who I am today. I respect both of you, but I can't let you destroy the organization!"

Trinity destroyed Mrs Horton's arm, only for her to create another one. When Mrs Horton created something out of nothing, Trinity destroyed it instantly.

Their powers completely countered each other, and it was extremely hard to get the upper hand.

When Mrs Horton would create fire, it would be destroyed. When she would create something abstract, it was destroyed, and even when she would create something that wasn't even tangible, it was still destroyed.

This resulted in both of them using their hands instead, roughing it out old-school style.

Each of their blows had their powers pump into the other. When Mrs Horton would land a hit, her powers made her blows extremely more powerful, and when Trinity landed a hit, it would destroy parts of Mrs Horton's body.

The cycle would repeat until one of them tapped out, but by the looks of things, that wasn't going to be happening soon.

"Trinity, please! I do not wish to kill you!"

"I'm sorry, but that's the only way to have me stop!"

Mrs Horton gritted her teeth, then a sad expression riddled her face.

Trinity directed a hand chop toward Mrs Horton's neck, but she caught it and followed up with her own attack.

As usual, Trinity simply destroyed the attack, but this time, it didn't work.

She looked at Mrs Horton, who had tears running down her face, then looked at her body, seeing it start to erode.

"D-Destruction?" Trinity wondered.

Mrs Horton nodded. She had the ability to create anything, which included the ability to create destruction. Trinity couldn't destroy what was already being destroyed, so she knew her life was over.

"This...is unfortunate. But I have no regrets. Please live happily, Lacena. I'll see you in the afterlife when it's your time to arrive." Trinity crumbled into dust, dying.

For the next few hours, there was nothing but Chaos and Destruction due to Jin's rampage. He destroyed every single base the Aegis Corps had in the city, including Olympus, and spared no one who got in his way.

The news managed to capture this moment, branding Jin as a criminal and an outcast, but he didn't care.

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. But when life decided to give him bullshit, he decided to give the bullshit back to it.

Once he was finished, he floated over the burning city, not even caring about the damage he caused, about the lives lost, and about the consequences of his actions.

He got revenge for his mother, and that's all that mattered to him.

"So, what do we do now?" Angela asked, flying over to Jin.

"We clearly can't stay here. We should run. Maybe find a place off the grid to lay low?" Brittany suggested.

Jin didn't respond for a while, staring into the flames, but he eventually opened his mouth to speak.

"I have a place we can stay at. It's far away from here, in the most dangerous part of the monster forest, but we should be able to lay low there."

"Aye! There are a lot of deviants there." Angela was looking forward to beating up some monsters.

"Jin. May I accompany you?" Jerrica asked, not wanting to leave her daughter and grandson behind again.

He nodded, then placed a magic circle on everyone's body.

"Go home and get everything you need. The magic circle on you will prevent others from seeing, hearing, or sensing you. Once you're done, just say "Ready" with the intent of going to my safe house, and you will arrive there."

"Got it." Everyone nodded and departed

Jin teleported to his place in the forest, resting his mother on a bed. He then got on it himself, lying next to her and fell asleep in her arms like he used to as a child.

"I miss you, Mom."
