Jin fell into a deep sleep, not sleeping this well for a long time. He was tired, not physically, but mentally. Stress wasn't really something he expierenced like that often, but when he did get stressed, it always made him crash like this.

He didn't even notice when he fell asleep, nor did he realize that he was sleeping for a long time.

Angela, Addison, Brittany, Oculia, Anyssa, Lacena, and Jerrica all arrived at the safe house, setting their things down and resting their bodies on the couches that were littered around the place.

"Man, this is fucking crazy! I can't believe we did something like that." It was Brittany's dream to be a Vanguard, yet she went against the Aegis Corps, killed some of them, and is now on the run. She never expected her life to go this way.

Angela didn't really care. As long as she was with Jin, that's what mattered to her.

As for Addison, she felt bad since her family would be highly disappointed in her, but she knew she was making the right decision.

"Don't worry about it. I know that the Aegis Corps did horrible things in the past, but this...I never knew about this, and I would have never allowed it to happen if I were still in charge." Lacena sighed, realizing everything that had happened under her watch.

"They got what they deserved. They're lucky that it was only the main locations that were destroyed." Jerrica's anger was still surging through her body, but since everything was over now, she tried to calm her mind.

"Right, the other branches." Anyssa sighed.

The Aegis Corps that Jin destroyed was just the main branch of the country. Being a large country meant that there were many branches all over. This included a secondary branch that would take over if anything happened to the primary branch.

There was also a tertiary branch in case anything happened to the secondary branch. After that, every other branch was just a minor branch. All countries operated like this.

However, it would be difficult for the secondary branch to fill the shoes of the primary branch since the primary one is usually the most powerful and most influential.

"Don't worry about them. They will have to spend most of their time rebuilding what was destroyed. The military will most likely step in and bring order for the time being, along with local law enforcement." Oculia stated.

"True."

"Does anyone know where Jin is?" Brittany asked

"Huh, now that you mention it, he's not here." Anyssa realized

"He's in the rooms." Oculia used her X-ray vision to find him. "Aw, he's sleeping with his mother."

"Whoa!"

"The fuck?"

"That's wild!"

"No! No, no! I don't mean it like that! You guys are gross."

"Hahaha! We're just messing around."

Jerrica stood up and headed to the room Jin and Jessa were in. Angela wanted to go as well, but Brittany stopped her.

"Family moment." She whispered.

"I am family. Who do you think Jin is going to marry? It's definitely not you and your bitchass."

"The fuck you say to me, you little shit!"

"Stop fighting, you two. It's clear that Jin will marry me anyway." Addison didn't even look at the two of them to egg them on. She simply said that with full confidence.

"Heh, look at them, fighting over Jin." Anyssa chuckled

"Must be nice being him, huh?" Oculia smiled

"Damn straight."

Over with Jerrica, she entered the room quietly, not wanting to interrupt Jin and Jessa's sleep.

When she saw her daughter and grandson sleeping peacefully, her heart melted, and all of her emotions struck her at once.

The regret she felt for not helping her daughter more, for abandoning Jin, and for not even knowing that her daughter was being held against her will as the source of the Aegis Corps' most powerful weapon.

It was a lot, and she bawled her eyes out, more than she ever had in her life.

"I'm sorry." She said between sobs, kneeling down and pressing her head against the bed.

"I'm so sorry." She wished she could take everything back, be there for her family before everything had gone to shit, but she couldn't.

"I won't let you two down ever again." She kissed Jin and Jessa's foreheads and left the room.

When she returned to the living room, she sat everyone down and told them some important news.

"Listen up, everyone. Just because we don't work for or with the Aegis Corps anymore doesn't mean that our mission is over. You see, there is something that I learned when I was looking into what happened to my daughter."

She explained everything she knew about the Sons of Adam and Eden's Garden, telling them how they were responsible for everything that transpired with the Women Enhancement Program.

"Wait, then, this means that they are still working behind the scenes, right?" Brittany asked

"Yes. I don't know what they're doing right now, but I know that they wanted to create the perfect male and female. Break through human limitations."

"Project Omega," Addison muttered.

"Correct." Jerrica nodded.

"But Jin shut that down. He destroyed everything that had to do with that project, even taking the powers away from men who had been experimented on." Angela remembered.

"Yes, but this isn't about those unfortunate souls. It's about Jin." Jerrica didn't know if she should tell them, but she trusted everyone here, so she decided to go for it.

"What about Jin?" Oculia asked

"He was born with powers."

Everyone's eyes widened. This was the reveal of the century, and no one was expecting her to reveal this.

"W-What?! I-Is that why he's so strong?" Anyssa asked

Jerrica shook her head. "No. I don't know how Jin became so strong, but I can say with confidence that I stripped him of his powers. I...I didn't want him to suffer because of them."

Everyone understood her actions. Being the only male in history to naturally awaken powers was something all scientists would want to study, even if that meant killing Jin in the process.

"So we have a new mission. Our priority is to protect Jin at all costs so he doesn't fall into the hands of this Edens Garden, and to find out just what this Edens Garden organization is."

"Count me in! I'll stick around no matter what!" Angela stood up.

"Same here." Brittany also stood

"Me too." Addison followed their example.

"Why are you guys standing up? You can agree while sitting down." Oculia laughed.

"R-Right, sorry."
