Jin watched as Adeline struggled to hold back the megalodon while her energy was being drained.

"Jin! Get out of here! It's dangerous!" She urged. Adeline didn't want her daughter's love interest to be killed before she could get any grandchildren.

"Nah-un!" Jin swam toward the danger.

"The fuck you mean 'nah-un'? Jin, stay back!"

Still not listening to Adeline, Jin landed on the Megalodon, close to its eye, then stabbed it with his photon blade. The shark wiggled around from the pain and sent out bolts of lightning that made the water boil.

"Swim still, you fucking fossil!" A laser cutter extended from his gauntlets, and he started cutting into the shark. Jin disregarded his suit being doused with so many amps that should have killed a normal person and kept cutting into the shark.

Eventually, he broke through the extremely strong cartilage and stuffed a sound bomb in the wound.

"Hope you like music, bitch!" Jin lept off the shark, swimming backward as a devastating explosion went off.

"Jin! Are you crazy? You could have died!"

"I know."

"Then why did you do that? I can't have you die on my watch!"

"I'll be fine. Pay attention, the megalodon isn't dead." Just then, a lightning bolt tore through the water and nearly struck Adeline, but Jin created a barrier that protected them both.

"Come on!" Jin swam away, and Adeline followed.

"You're smart, do you have any idea how to beat it? I can match its power easily, but it keeps absorbing my energy!"

They both dodged another lightning bolt.

"When I was cutting through the shark, I took a look at its molecular structure. It's using the ions in its body to produce lightning. Every time the shark shoots a bolt, it needs to recharge." Jin explained.

"So, how do we make it go on a cool down?"

"We don't. We need to feed it so much energy that it explodes."

Adeline didn't know if Jin was joking or not. "You're kidding me, right?"

"I wish I were." Jin fired a cable toward Adeline, watching as she caught it, then pulled her toward him right before the megalodon bit the spot where she once was.

Jin continued explaining how the shark functioned. "The ions in its body generate and store electrical energy, and every time the shark moves, it recharges the energy that it spent. However, it can only store a certain amount of energy before it needs to expel it."

"So you want me to pump it with as much energy as I can?" Adeline asked

"How much energy can you give it?"

"As much energy as the sun produces!"

That's...a bit too much." Jin hoped she was joking.

"It turned around!" Adeline's body became pure energy, nearly blinding Jin as he was not expecting her to suddenly go all out.

"Wait for it to shoot lightning from its mouth, absorb it, then give it back with everything you have!"

"Got it!" Adeline did as Jin said and waited for the Megalodon to attack with lightning.

Once the ancient shark started crackling with lightning, Adeline increased her energy output, boiling the water around her.

A powerful lightning strike struck her body, dealing no damage at all, and she completely absorbed it. Then, as her body was energized by the lightning, she shot everything back with such force that the shockwave caused the water to explode slightly.

"It's working!" Jin could see the shark absorbing the energy, and then he saw it waver. "You're staying right there!" He shot four laser hooks into its face, holding it in place so it couldn't move out of the way.

"Jin! Is it working?"

"Oh yeah! You're doing great! Just a little more!"

Adeline kept going, pumping more and more energy into the shark and could feel the beast trying to fight back.

"98...99...100 Percent! Okay, Adeline, time to retreat!" Jin took off toward the surface, Adeline following behind him.

However, as if the shark knew its time was close to an end, it followed them like a heat-seeking missile, ready to blow up its target.

The moment Jin and Adeline burst from the ocean's surface and landed on Olympus, the sea behind them erupted. A blinding flash tore through the horizon as the shark detonated, sending a colossal plume of water and fire skyward.

The shockwave roared like thunder, hurling molten fragments of flesh in every direction. Jin and Adeline reacted instantly, their combined power manifesting into a barrier that curved over the survivors and the island.

The explosion slammed against it, roaring like a storm and had enough force to shatter what was left of Olympus if not for their defense.

"Fuck, that was powerful!" Jin was thankful that he had gotten stronger recently. If he hadn't, then he could have died.

"Hey, look, it's the Aegis corps!" A person pointed in the sky at multiple ships that were flying toward them with the Aegis Corps logo.

"Search and Rescue are here as well!"

"We're saved!"

"Mother! Jin!" Addison came rushing over to them, hugging her mother before hugging Jin. "What happened?"

"Megalodon exploded. I'm sure you saw the fleshy fireworks." Jin made an explosion sound effect with his mouth while having his fingers act like an explosion.

"If it weren't for Jin here, I would have been in trouble. Now, I have to go speak with the Aegis Corps to explain what went on here." Adeline tapped her daughter's shoulder, then flew away.

Angela walked over to them and hugged Jin again, keeping him in her arms. "Damn. I can't believe Olympus is destroyed. What's going to happen now?"

"A vacation, maybe?" Jin hoped.

"Pfft, as if. They'll probably just send us to the mainland branch to attend school while the higher-ups figure out what to do next."

"I'm homeless." Addison looked around at what was once her home and sighed.

"Dude, you have a house on the mainland. What are you talking about? Besides, your family is alive. You should be happy. I hope my brother died." Angela didn't even care to look for her older brother.

"Looks like search and rescue is having people board the aircraft now." Jin nodded over to the evacuation area. "Let's go."
