"Jin, Jin, Jin. I warned you, didn't I?" Mrs Horton was tapping her fingers on her desk, staring at Jin as if looking into his soul. She knew he would be defying her orders again, but didn't expect it to be so soon.

"I don't recall you warning me about anything," Jin answered with a smart tone.

"Playing dumb, are we? It wasn't that long when...Oh, I get it. Fuck you."

Miss Lockman glared at her. "Mrs Horton."

"Yeah, yeah. I just had to get that one out. Jin, that was funny, but disobeying orders isn't."

"Would you like to hear what I learned about, though? I'm sure it will interest you."

"Fine. I won't deny my curiosity. Show me what you learned."

Jin explained and showed everything, giving Mrs Horton a copy of the recording file he took at the event.

For a person who was over 100 years old and had 'god like' power, she was utterly shocked and disgusted by what she saw in the video.

She instantly downloaded the files to her computer, uploading them to the Aegis Corps network, and put out a statement classifying the Sons of Adam as the number 0 priority, a class higher than number 1.

"This isn't the workings of a powerful cult anymore. This is an uprising." She clenched her fists and then slammed them into her desk, shattering the poor wood.

Jin was slightly taken aback. "Uhh, I thought you already knew that. They literally blew up Olympus."

"Yes, and that was why they were our number one priority. But after seeing your recording, seeing them strip women of their powers and use them for energy, that makes the cult more dangerous than I initially expected."

"So can I be assigned to this case now?" Jin was confident that Mrs Horton would allow him to help them out 'legally' now.

"No."

'Should I just kill her?'

"Guardian Jin Telegard, you have disobeyed direct orders for the third time, putting not only yourself but the lives of a Vanguard in danger. While your actions are honorable, your attitude isn't."

"Heh, you've been alive for over 100 years and you're still this stuck up? What a bitch." Jin did not care about his choice of words at this point. Sure, he was disobeying orders, but he was helping them out.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me, hag."

Jin felt his body tense up by an invisible force, but he activated his own power, using his power kit as a front, to negate it.

Mrs Horton was taken aback. She didn't expect Jin to nullify her powers so easily. She was so impressed that she couldn't even stay mad at him.

"Jin, you're suspended. Effective immediately. You may continue living in your apartment, but you will not be able to go on missions, nor will you be allowed Aegis Corps information. Your suspension is for a month. Dismissed."

Normally, this would be a bad thing, but Jin was able to read between the lines.

"Fine. I don't need this fuck ass job anyway." He stormed out of the room.

"Uhh, Mrs Horton? Didn't you say you would give him a mission next time he disobeyed orders?"

"Yes, I recall saying that." She nodded.

"So why didn't you give him one?"

"I didn't? Because I swear I did." She smirked

"What? You were suspended?!" Brittany nearly strangled Jin to death after hearing what he did.

Jin went to see her because he missed their presence. Besides, being in his home brought him comfort.

"Brittany, let him go. I'm sure he had a good reason for being suspended." Thankfully, Anyssa was level-headed.

"I called Mrs Horton an old hag."

"What?! Are you fucking crazy? Do you want to die?!" Now Anyssa was strangling Jin, not out of anger, but out of mercy. She would kill him before Mrs Horton did to spare her darling Jin from having a horrible death.

"Okay, relax, let me explain everything." After they stopped horseplaying around, Jin told them everything from start to finish, not leaving out any details.

It was safe to say they were both shocked and deeply paranoid by what he told them. He even showed them the video of what happened.

"I can't believe this. How could someone do that to a person? It's cruel." Anyssa, while she didn't sympathize with those criminal women, her heart felt heavy for the many women who she assumed could be harmed by this cult.

Brittany was awfully quiet for a while, not saying anything and just looking down at the floor.

"Jin." She finally spoke up.

"What's up?"

"That mission, the one to look into the Sons of Adam, I was assigned to it."

That was something Jin did not expect to hear come from Brittany's mouth. Her being assigned to that mission meant that she would be exposed to the danger outright. Jin did not like that one bit.

He was okay with her handling monsters, criminals, or chemical spills, but the Sons of Adam, absolutely not.

"Asked to be assigned another mission." He demanded her.

"Why?"

"Because it's dangerous. You could lose your powers. I don't want you to go through that."

"Oh, but it's okay for you to go and even take Angela with you? I love that you're looking out for me, Jin, but I can handle myself."

Brittany didn't need Jin to look out for her, and while she appreciated his care, she was going to see this mission through.

"Fine. But call me if you need help. I'll be there for you, always." He hugged her, and she hugged him back.

"I didn't know you could be so affectionate. You should be like this more often, it's nice." Brittany smiled.

"You two are so cute." Anyssa took a picture of them, as all parents do.

"So, Jin, what do you plan on doing now that you're suspended? Just gonna sit around and relax like you've always wanted to?" Brittany asked

"Actually, there are some things that I need to sort out before I can relax."
