Primordial Awakening: Limitless Growth With Ex Rank Ability

Chapter 59: One Million Contribution Points

Simon was silently in a daze, listening to the words of the crowd when his eyes suddenly lit up as though he had thought of something.

Instantly, he turned to Damien with a smirk.

"Why don't we have another bet?"

Damien was suddenly intrigued and stared at him curiously.

"Another bet? What's it about?"

"I'm willing to place 25 artifacts on the line!" Simon announced confidently, causing his fellow instructors to draw in sharp breaths as they all wondered if he had gone mad.

Damien was also similarly puzzled, but he wasn't one to back down from a challenge.

"In that case I'm willing to return your artifacts. Haha, what's the challenge about?" Damien said with a chuckle.

Simon suddenly increased his voice.

"We instructors are offering up our jade plaques. Whoever can clear the behemoth tower will receive one million contribution points!"

The words weren't too loud but they sank into the hearts of everyone like a war drum.

Everyone's hearts shook and they were immediately in an uproar.

One million contribution points was enough to catapult anyone to the peak.

Everyone stared at Simon speechlessly and even the instructors were bewildered.

They stared at him before their eyes finally flickered with a calculating light.

They had enough contribution points to support the students so it wasn't anything for them and they could also obtain their treasures and even cause Damien to lose face if they won the bet.

Besides, among the group of more than 300 students, one of them must surely be able to pass the tenth level of the tower.

The bet seemed reasonable and the reluctance in the instructors' hearts finally began to dissipate.

"In instructor… is that true?" one of the female students asked in a shaky voice.

Simon glanced at her briefly, then shrugged and turned back to Damien.

"What's it going to be? Are you going to back down like a coward?" Simon taunted him with a mocking expression.

"Interesting…" Damien chuckled, scratching the back of his head.

"I accept your bet!" he replied casually.

Simon finally grinned and the other instructors beside him also revealed knowing smiles.

Just then, Amon's voice cut through the air as he approached them.

"I just cleared the tenth level so I'm eligible for the rewards as well right?" Amon glanced up at Simon and Damien.

Hearing his words, Damien's eyes instantly lit up.

He secretly gave Amon a thumbs up and turned to Simon with a gloating expression.

"Surely you don't hope to back down on your words right? This will give the students some form of motivation… hehe."

Hearing his shameless remark, Simon's mouth twitched repeatedly and he felt the urge to smack himself.

Why didn't he think along these lines?

No, he actually did. He just didn't expect the others to realise it as well or for Amon to actually bring it up.

His heart tightened as he smiled with a look that seemed no different from crying.

His heart clenched as he replied with a forced expression.

"Of course. I can't back down on my word…" he then turned to Amon. "Where's your jade plaque kid? Let me transfer the contribution points to you."

Amon fell silent briefly as he didn't have his jade plaque.

"You can use mine and take it back later," Damien said casually, noticing Amon's worry.

'I should hand him his jade plaque when we get back,' Damien lamented internally.

Previously, because they had been occupied, he had forgotten to give it to Amon.

Thankfully he had been reminded.

Amon nodded and brought it out from his universe ring before handing it to Simon.

Simon glared at Amon but still collected the plaque and brought out his own before placing it on top.

Immediately, the transfer was made using his mental thoughts.

He handed back the jade plaque to Amon and didn't pay him any further attention.

Turning to the crowd he said with a smile, "Do you see that? You can be the next one to obtain a million contribution points. All you need to do is easily clear 10 levels."

Murmurs spread through the crowd as their eyes lit up in anticipation.

None of them thought they were weaker than Amon.

There was nothing he could have possibly faced that they couldn't handle.

What they didn't know was that because Amon's age was detected as 30+, the difficulty of his tower climb was far harder than normal.

Still, Amon cleared it in a far shorter time than even Damien.

This just went to show how much he had grown in these ten years.

Simon glanced at the bunch and said sternly, "Who's willing to go first?"

Immediately countless students raised their hands, screaming and shouting for Simon to select them.

Simon scanned through the crowd before settling his gaze on one of the youths who was standing amidst the group and wasn't actively moving to present himself.

He recognised him as one of the prides of the genius class.

"You!" he called out, pointing at the youth. "Come and try."

Saying so, he tossed the youth his jade plaque.

The youth caught it and glanced at Simon with a puzzled expression.

"Quick, enter there. You're this close to getting one million contribution points, why the fuck are you still staring at me like an idiot?"

Noticing a visible vein popping on Simon's head in anger, the youth immediately turned his attention to the door not too far away.

He hesitated briefly before walking to it.

Natasha was silent for a few seconds, wanting to stop the youth, but she decided against it.

She could use this boy to know how difficult the trial was so she could perfectly counter it.

With that thought she calmed her mind and watched as the boy entered the room.

Immediately, whispers spread through the crowd as they watched silently.

"Is clearing the tower truly that easy?" someone asked.

A friend beside him replied quickly, glancing at Amon through the corner of his eye.

"He just has a white core and was able to complete it. What makes you think we can't as well?"

"True." Someone else nodded, feeling the words were reasonable.

"But will the instructor really hand out one million contribution points to everyone?" someone said in confusion.

The rest of the group were also puzzled by this.

Was the instructor feeling generous?

Just as they were still murmuring, a flash of light surged into the sky.

"He… he already cleared the first level?" a youth muttered in disbelief.

"Damn. It's really too easy." Another student glanced up at the sky, speechless.

However, on the side there was still no change in the facial expressions of the instructors.

They knew that the initial levels were nothing since they were filled with weak star beasts.

Only after crossing the fifth level would clearing the star gate become much more difficult.

As time passed, the bursts of light surging into the sky also increased in number and in a few hours it had crossed 5.

The youths were already lively with anticipation, some even starting to plan what they would purchase after obtaining the million contribution points.

They were still glancing around and waiting for the sixth light to burst into the sky when there was a rustle of wind and someone was sent flying from the door.

Bang.

The youth crashed heavily onto the ground and everyone noticed in shock that his whole form was dyed red in blood.

His left hand seemed to have suffered severe damage, with mangled flesh hanging from his bone.

The youth's face was pale with terror as he glanced toward the instructors with grievance, muttering under his breath.

'Gi… giants… such terrifying figures. Just at the sixth level…'
