Primordial Awakening: Limitless Growth With Ex Rank Ability

Chapter 75: Patience

Amon and Aegon continued their journey silently.

There was no change to the scenery despite them changing directions.

And for a moment, Amon questioned the authenticity of the divination gift.

Still, with no other choice but to head here, Amon reluctantly continued in that direction.

The silence stretched on between Amon and Aegon as Amon lay atop the dragon's back.

Gazing above, with many thoughts flickering through his mind, he wondered what to do next.

The two continued at an even pace, and more than a few hours went by.

Amon sang a song to both of them, one he recalled his mother singing to him in his past life.

He tried to stretch his limbs, cultivated,

And did many other chores to pass the time.

When finally, Aegon called out to him.

"Dad, there's something. The place is changing."

Hearing the dragon's words, Amon's head snapped in that direction, and he noticed trees stretching endlessly from below.

As far as his eyes could see, the trees seemed endless, to the extent that he could barely trace their boundaries.

Something clicked in his mind, and Amon realized that the timer for the divination gift was over.

"18 hours it seems," Amon calculated, finally understanding that after roughly that amount of time, the use of the gift would reset.

He glanced at the trees below and asked,

"Flying above the trees will be safer."

As soon as he finished speaking, he flicked the coin upward.

Instantly, the coin twisted and spun for a short few moments before coming to land in Amon's hand.

Amon opened it to stare at its contents, only for a speechless expression to appear on his face.

Tails.

It seemed passing through the trees would be much safer.

Still, staring at the dense foliage, Amon could tell that Aegon's massive size wouldn't be enough to fly through there.

With reluctance in his heart, he ordered the dragon to return to its previous form.

Aegon nodded, then swooped in toward the edge of the place where a branch could be seen.

Amon jumped onto the branch and watched him transform into a little creature once more.

The cat gazed at him with a cute expression as he smacked his head with his paw.

'Let's go. Let's go.'

Feeling that there had been some change to the little cat's personality, Amon was a little speechless.

Rubbing the little guy and positioning him firmly across his shoulder, the cat gazed at Amon curiously, waiting for the next course of action.

Amon returned his gaze to the trees, holding the coin firmly in his grasp.

He knew that this coin, with two remaining chances, held the key to his life and death.

'Should I wait a day to stack the chances I have to use it daily?' Amon thought in his heart, but was unwilling to give it a try since he wasn't sure if it could be stacked.

Even if it could, now wasn't the time to test it out, as he was still busy with a few things.

Amon turned to glance at the trees with a peculiar expression.

The green leaves reflected the light of the sun and contained a strange air that caused one to feel refreshed.

"Well then, here goes nothing."

Amon spotted another branch not too far away and, without hesitation, used his movement technique to reach it.

The next moment, Amon appeared atop the branch.

"This seems pretty easy," Amon said with a faint smile on his lips.

"Where specifically is Helena's destination? Heads for east, tails for north," Amon questioned and tossed the coin a bit into the air.

Swoosh!

The coin flew up before descending.

As it moved, it seemed to be hit by a branch midair, causing it to briefly stall before falling onto a nearby branch.

Speechless, Amon picked it up.

'Is this supposed to be a reply?' he questioned no one in particular, though he felt something was wrong.

With a reluctant heart, Amon decided to use the last divination he had for the day.

'Where specifically is Helena's destination? Heads for west, tails for south.'

He threw the coin into the air, standing in the same position as before.

The coin flipped about midair before descending and landing in his palm.

Heads!

'Helena is headed in that direction!' Amon looked toward his right with narrowed eyes as the coin vanished once more.

He hesitated briefly before deciding to continue cautiously eighteen hours later.

Since he was so close to winning, Amon didn't want to make a mistake that could cost him his life due to impulsiveness.

'Patience is key.'

As Amon lampooned himself internally, he sat cross-legged and entered a state of meditation.

The primordial energy in the air drifted into his body through his primordial veins at an even speed.

Amon felt a slight twitch and a slightly unbearable itch in his primordial veins.

His eyes went wide as saucers as he realized what the situation was.

'This…' Amon was silently speechless.

Finally, the thirteenth core was being formed!

With a stupefied expression, Amon immediately focused his attention on forming the thirteenth core.

After such a long time, he never expected to form a thirteenth core in this place.

Having eight gifts now, he could create five more without any issues.

Amon felt a wave of happiness in his heart as he settled on the location for his new core.

In his ankle.

The core physically shrank rapidly and embedded itself in the location of Arthur's leg.

Strangely though, the size of the core internally remained consistent.

Amon felt a miraculous change wash over his body once more.

His mind became clearer, and even slight traces of nervousness he didn't know he had seemed to be subtly erased.

A strange temperament settled over him, and he felt his mentality had slightly changed to suit someone belonging to the Bermuda World.

Aside from this, he could feel the physical strength of his body increase somewhat.

In the real world, it would be negligible, as there were others with higher-grade cores and stronger bodies.

But in this world, it was just like forming a core for the first time, and the physical changes it brought were far from ordinary.

Amon felt all these changes with a pleased expression.

'Unfortunately, I can still only access one core,' Amon thought with some regret.

The moment the thirteenth core was formed, his connection to it was cut off, and aside from the changes he could feel, there was nothing different about the new him.

Staring at the surroundings, Amon glanced around before closing his eyes once more.

Tomorrow was going to be a long day.

He had a feeling he would encounter Helena, and he didn't know if he was ready for it.

'With all my gifts, it should be pretty easy to deal with a mortal girl like her.'

Those were Amon's thoughts, but he didn't know why he felt things wouldn't be so simple.

'So many things to think about…' Amon let out an exaggerated sigh and closed his eyes, returning to meditation.

Primordial energy surged into his body as he began condensing the fourteenth core.

Quietly, 18 hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Opening his eyes from meditation, Amon glanced at his palm where the coin had appeared.

'Time to meet her,' Amon muttered internally, his heart filled with ambition as he took a step forward, vanishing from his previous position.
