Supreme Paragon Reborn: Humanity’s Rise To Galactic Supremacy

Chapter 107: Heaven and Devil

Chills ran down the spines of the nearby aliens. Regardless of their intelligence level, all of them began to feel primal fear.

ROAR!

Making haste, they began to run away from the two godlike figures, creating a large circle around them.

As if alerted by the change in its lackeys' demeanor, the Overlord opened its eye.

"Finally… A nice body has shown itself."

Wordlessly, its figure began to morph into itself, creating disturbing noises. Its eye split open, its hideous smile changed shape, and its muscles deconstructed.

In a flash it had taken the appearance of the Lord before it.

"This skin feels nice. I hope that you won't mind if I use it permanently?"

The Lord's gaze lingered on the being that had copied its appearance effortlessly.

"You can do whatever you want. It's not like you will live long, anyway."

Amused by the proclamation, the corner of the Overlord's lips curled, exploding into laughter.

"HAHAHA!"

The overwhelming aura it was giving off intensified to such an extent that the nearest aliens that were watching the spectacle dropped dead on the spot.

"Impressive words for a mere human!"

The Lord shook his head.

"Vincent, this is the name of your killer."

Not waiting for the Overlord's response, Vincent flicked his fingers. Following his command, the aura he was giving off took shape and moved toward the alien, going for the kill.

"Let me show you how weak you humans really are!"

With a menacing smile, the alien met the attack.

BOOM!

The ground shattered under the might of the two figures. Corpses of aliens caught up in the duel were flung in the air, being reduced to nothing but ash.

Back to the place where the two armies met each other. Michael observed the Lord's battle with interest.

'With everything going on, I am not surprised that there is an Overlord guarding the portal.' He mused.

'But I expected several. Maybe it was my mistake, or the aliens haven't even gotten serious yet.'

Knowing that observing will not lead to anything, he shook his head, meeting his foes.

Using his Perfect Vision, his sight locked onto the perfect target to test his new weapon.

Summoning Heaven's Judgment, he pointed the shotgun at the unsuspecting Elite.

Swosh!

Releasing the trigger, the hook shot forward like a missile, colliding with the monster's left shoulder.

Grr?

Taken by surprise, the massive being didn't have time to react. With the hook connected, it began to retract, bringing the alien next to Michael.

ROA—

Realizing it had been snatched, it turned its head in fury only to freeze seeing a shotgun a mere inch from its face. The two barrels were perfectly positioned to hit both of its eyes.

BOOM!

The head of the Elite exploded like a pumpkin.

"It's so much better than I expected!" Michael exclaimed with a large smile, staring at Heaven's Judgment.

Armed with the firearm in his left hand, he summoned Devil's Tongue in his right.

'What the fuck is that?!'

Unsurprisingly, the soul weapon instantly became enraged.

'You brat dares use another weapon beside me?! It appears you are more foolish than I thought!'

'Could this be jealousy I detect? I thought the only thing you cared about was killing and profanities.' Michael didn't miss the chance to annoy his weapon.

'Nothing similar to jealousy! Even a blind man can see that I am obviously the superior weapon!' Devil's Tongue continued.

"I will be the judge of that. Once the battle ends, the weapon with the most kills will be the superior one." He said, pouncing on the aliens.

Since the army was masterfully separated into several divisions, he didn't find himself surrounded by enemies like he usually would.

Slash!

Boom!

Knowing that his back was protected allowed him to focus on attacking, disregarding defense entirely.

Naturally he made sure to tread close to Ava. Victoria and Claire were going to be able to run away if they sensed a General. The Adepts, meanwhile, were too far back to encounter any.

However, the Experts, like Ava, had a chance to encounter one, and unlike the Masters, she wouldn't be fast enough to get out of harm's way.

"Michael? Where did you get that large thing?" She asked, staring at the shotgun in his grasp.

"It was awarded to me for my efforts." He said, concealing the whole truth.

'Alice must have given it to him for killing a General.' Ava guessed dropping the matter.

The two armies continued to clash. The number of the aliens increased at a staggering rate, yet with the help of the mechas and the tigers, the humans were able to kill them faster than they appeared.

"GENERAL!"

Undoubtedly among the alien ranks, the most threatening beings were the Generals. Rather than attacking head-on, they would copy the appearance of humans. Even if their attempts were far from the best, no one had the time to notice them in the middle of war.

Sneakingly going deep into the human ranks, the Generals would go ham, unleashing death and destruction, slowing down the soldiers.

It was only a matter of time until the misfortune of meeting one fell on Michael.

His senses sharpened, seeing the terrifying monster that tore through the human ranks like a bull heading straight in his direction.

"Ava, prepare!" He managed to warn the petite girl just in time.

'Let's see if this works.'

[Warlock activated]

[Dash activated]

The wounds he had accumulated instantly began to fuel him with power. He had abstained from using the technique, wanting to remain level-headed, but there was no way he would underestimate a General.

'Even if it was wounded and tired, I managed to beat one General. Since then I have put 500 more points into my stats and gained a new weapon.' His mind instantly began to calculate his chances of survival.

The people around him were just of the Expert realm. If left alone, the General would run amok, killing many before a Grandmaster or team of Masters came to aid.

His role was to slow down the being, preferably kill it.

"Cover me!" After ordering Ava, he moved lightningly fast, intersecting the General's path.

"An insect dares to halt my advancement? Now this is amusing!" The General roared, shifting its attention from killing the Experts to dealing with Michael.

Michael began his duel with the monster, effectively halting it in place.

"Look! He managed to stop it!"

"How is an Expert doing this?!"

The soldiers around him were beyond baffled witnessing how long an Expert was lasting against a General.

"Let's help him!"

"Don't stop until the General is slaughtered!"

Inspired, the Experts forgot their fears and jumped straight to Michael's assistance.
