Supreme Paragon Reborn: Humanity’s Rise To Galactic Supremacy

Chapter 61: Soloing an Elite

With the use of Dash and Blink, Michael was almost unscratched when he passed through the Elites' ranks. That alone was a testament to how skilled he was when it came to evading, since even Masters would find themselves with wounds far more serious than his.

"Michael, where did you go?!" Ava shouted amidst the chaos once he joined their group once more.

"Had to take care of a little issue. Sorry about that." He smiled awkwardly, pouncing on the Elites.

If someone had heard how he had called a soul battle with a General 'a little issue,' they would have smacked him on the head.

"Wait, look! The enemy leader is retreating!" Bryce, who had been fighting close to them, shouted.

Usually, his voice would have been drowned out in the midst of battle. However, his words carried a meaning that no one could ignore.

"It's retreating?"

"We have a chance!"

"MASSACRE THEM ALL!"

Once they saw how the two Grandmasters were chasing after the alien's leader, the soldiers felt their souls lit in a blaze. An unshakable determination washed over their bodies, pushing them to their limit.

All of them had subconsciously feared that their strongest fighters would fall to the enemy leader. Had this happened, they would have been doomed. But now, with that being out of the question, they were free to go all out without worrying about it.

As a result, the circle that had been expanding all this time halted.

And began to close on the Elites. The human forces weren't retreating but advancing!

"Grrr?"

The sudden change in the human forces puzzled the Elites, who had been holding the upper hand until recently. Since the middle of the battlefield was too chaotic, they had yet to grasp that their leader had left their side.

"Don't stop!"

Now the Masters who had avoided going deep into the enemy ranks out of fear of the General jumped right into the fray, tearing through their ranks like butter.

"Daredevil, what are we supposed to do?" Leo asked Ava, knowing she was the strongest one among their group.

In response, she glanced at Michael, feeling like he had a plan.

"Is there a need to ask? We massacre them all!" He roared, his eyes burning crimson.

"You heard him!" Ava proclaimed, her hammer shattering the ground beneath her feet.

Boom!

Seeing the clear change of tides, the mechas that had remained high in the sky moved to the center of the ring and began to unleash all of their energy on the enemy.

Some even descended to the ground like meteors, joining the melee.

ROAR!

Confused and scared, the Elites entered into a frenzy, killing everything that entered their field of vision with no regard for their own safety.

That caused the human casualties to increase, yet it didn't change the situation much. Most of the humans stationed on Triton had joined the battle, and with millions in their ranks, the loss of a few could not turn the tide. Even if every Elite were to kill ten humans each, it would not change the outcome since the aliens were so overwhelmed.

'If I had been stronger, I might have saved more…' Victoria gritted her teeth as a great shame washed over her heart.

Most of the human generals mirrored her sentiment. Whether it be a Master or a person that had just begun their cultivation journey, human life was priceless and couldn't be replaced.

'Is this really it? As things stand, we won't amount to even a million casualties!' Michael thought, feeling his spirit spike.

Of course, he still mourned the deaths, but when he compared the current situation to his past life, when twelve million humans had fallen to the alien invasion, things seemed much better. Back then, humans had been like cattle, waiting to be slaughtered. Now, they were the ones bringing hell to the enemy's ranks. The difference he had made was so immense that nothing could tarnish his mood in that moment.

'This is it! Elite blood! I want more! Feed me more!' Devil's Tongue demanded, breaking him out of his daze.

With a slight smile, Michael complied, continuing his decapitation. The more aliens he killed, the better.

[Berserker has leveled up!]

[Berserker has leveled up!]

[Berserker has leveled up!]

[Technique: Berserker]

[Rank: Rare]

[Level: 6]

[Description: For every point of Mind you allow to be infused with madness, you will gain one in Strength, Agility, and Stamina. Current limit: 1,000 Mind points.]

With so much slaughter, his technique leveled up several times over.

With no hesitation, he allowed 1,000 points of his mind to be infused with madness, increasing his might even more.

Swoosh!

With the 300 extra points added to his attributes, his movements became even more formidable.

'He became even faster and stronger?!' Ava, who had her eyes on him, didn't miss the change.

'Did he level up his technique? As things stand, he's rivaling me… No, he's above me in every single aspect!' That revelation shocked her to the very core.

"With this, facing Elites alone isn't out of the question!" Michael roared, breaking out of the formation once he judged it wouldn't negatively impact his teammates.

In a flash, he had approached the nearest foe.

Of course, just because he was a little stronger than Ava didn't mean he could beat an Elite alone, as even she would have great difficulty doing so.

Slash!

Yet to the complete surprise of the alien, the human that wasn't even in the Expert realm moved faster than expected, with skills that didn't befit someone as young as him.

Truth be told, Michael had one thing that no one else had over him… experience.

Against his fluid movements, the Elite was completely powerless. In a few short minutes, the monster's body gave out, and it collapsed.

An Elite, a being of unparalleled power, fell under the blade of a Middle Adept. Even more, it was a one-on-one battle without any kind of third-party interference.

'Keep the ball rolling! Don't show them mercy!' Devil's Tongue laughed joyfully in Michael's head.

"I was never planning to." Michael said coldly before pouncing on the next Elite.

Slowly but surely, the alien ranks were shrinking under humanity's might.
