CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror

Chapter 128: Armor of Vengeance

The seal continued to do its job, draining more power from the two specters, one phantom and one wraith.

Crow continued to pour Nether inside the Chaos Ritual.

But the ritual was not stabilizing. The Chaos Ritual lit and dim like it could break at any moment.

"Not enough Chaos, huh. I thought I gave it enough already." The black cat squinted its eyes.

Mater opened his mouth and spat out another ten Chaos Spheres. The spheres floated around the Abyssal Seal, pushing the fusion further.

The phantom and the wraith continued to be drained. The helmet cracked. The mass tore. They couldn't be fused into one. There wasn't enough connection between them.

"Tch. They can't be fused. The phantom is a pure mental projection while the wraith is pure physical mass. There is no aspect for the two of them to join."

Suddenly, a light bulb appeared on the black cat metaphorically.

It flicked its paw and called over the Dark Grimoire. The leathery book flipped to page 18th.

[Armor of Vengeance]

[Rank]: 1

[Level]: 6

[Description]:

I watched the black smoke fill the sky,

I saw the last few good men die.

My home was gone, my world was gray,

They took the light and walked away.

[Spells]: The only way I know is blade.

- Eternal Sword: Fueled with vengeance, the wraith releases a sword fang of said emotion.

[Passive Ability]: I made a vow I can't give up.

- Vengeance: Immune to all mental status.

"What the…" The black cat blinked his eyes repeatedly in confusion.

Mater didn't check on the details of this knight after he got him from Levy. He noticed that his NES was rather different from the rest that he saw so Mater caught it out of curiosity.

He thought it might be a good servant later. As he could access more seal types once he had the first lock.

'The description is a poem. It has one power each for spell and ability. This thing… Isn't it a Fate Knight from my world?

No. It's not. It still has Chaos as its power. But why is it so weird?'

"Master! I can't hold it for much longer!" Crow said. His body flickered like a light out of fuel.

'Not much time to think about it now. It's perfect as a catalyst!'

Mater turned the book toward the Chaos Ritual. The black hole appeared and spat out the Armor of Vengeance into the Chaos Ritual.

The knight from before appeared again. It knelt on one knee while its helmet bowed down at Mater like it was greeting its lord.

The Abyssal Seal landed on its chest. Immediately, reactions happened.

The pile of mass climbed onto the suit of armor and went inside, filling up its interior.

The knight removed its helmet. There was no one inside, it was just an empty suit of armor.

The knight picked up the DD Helmet and put it on his head.

The cracks on the DD Helmet disappeared. It healed back to full.

But the original helmet of the knight crumbled into dust. Its pieces circled around the Chaos Spheres and guided the Chaos to complete the ritual.

The suit of armor changed. Its metal color faded and blackened, becoming a full suit of dark armor.

It was still simplistic as ever but with an eerie feeling of Chaos and Vengeance.

The mass settled on the interior of the armor and fused with the metal.

The seal moved up from the chest of the armor to the middle of the helmet.

"It's working!" Mater immediately opened his mouth. The suit of armor was pulled inside his throat entirely. It shrunk significantly when it came to Mater.

The black cat didn't just want to make another Servant. He wanted to make a Demonic Item as well.

But a Demonic Item with a mind of its own was very dangerous. So he had to make sure it couldn't betray him by enslaving it first.

Now, he would turn it into a proper Demonic Item.

Crow almost fell because of exhaustion but Aurora was there to catch him.

"Thank you, Aurora."

The Glacial Wight smiled dearly. "We're brother and sister, after all."

Crow chuckled by how true that statement was.

Out in the sky, a single purple line ran through the darkness of the cloud. All the clouds released heavy rain flushing down to the ground below.

It was not ordinary rain. The rain was rather inspiring and rage inducing. It invited all sorts of hidden trauma to resurface and the urge to fight for what was right.

"Get your ass to work, Clint!"

"I made a vow I can't give up."

"What the hell are you talking about, Clint?!"

"I answer to me, not those above."

"What the hell…"

The boss widened his eyes and stared at his employee. Clint always seemed reserved and easy to be ordered around. That day, he saw fire in those eyes. Fire that made him shut his mouth. He knew that if he pressed forward, Clint would not back down.

"You're fucking ugly, Ian. I'd never want to have kids with you."

"I made a vow I can't give up."

The wife blinked her eyes in confusion. She raised her hands and was about to hit the man. The man caught her hand. He didn't hit her, just pushed her away.

"I stand no lies, no more corrupt."

The man threw the divorce paper at her face then took his suitcase and walked away.

"I made a vow I can't give up." The young girl walked downstairs to see a large man beating her poor mother.

"This ends today, I have enough."

The young girl grabbed a piece of wire and jumped to the back of the large man.

Similar things happened around the city. The debauchery of Aeliz City was cleansed thoroughly by the act of an unknown cat. Mater didn't even know he made such a 'positive' influence to the people in the city.

If he knew, the black cat would vomit for sure.

"Phew! Finally done. That was close." The black cat swiped the sweat off its forehead. But then it found no sweat at all.

"Right. I forgot that cats don't sweat."

The Chaos had settled inside the suit of armor and turned it into a proper Demonic Item. However, the suit disappeared, the only thing left in his Demonic Arsenal was a new medieval helmet.

The black cat approached Crow. "You're alright?"

"I'm fine, Master. Only a bit tired from exhausting Chaos."

"You did good, Crow." The black cat then spat out five Chaos Spheres for the Abomination. "Use this for now until we get you back to the Shrine."

"Thank you, Master."

Selina approached Mater, "That was the most intense ritual I've seen you do. Even more than when you created Bash.

What did you make?"

The black cat smirked and stroked its whiskers, "Do you want to know?"
