Mater created only one clone using the tap water. He assigned the new illusion spell [Minor Distortion] to it so that it could renew its invisibility any time.

A second Mater jumped out of the sink. It looked exactly like Mater.

"Someone is targeting me? In the police department?" Selina whispered.

"There are forces in this world that you don't know of, Selina. The people behind David Rendell's death, the suicides of the Wilson family, and those missing people in NEO Mall. You don't think it was all a coincidence do you?" Mater meowed.

Aurora communicated what he said to Selina. The goth girl stayed silent for a while then sighed deeply.

"You're right, Mr. Mater. And thank you for looking out for me as well. I am forever indebted to you." Selina petted the black cat.

"Don't you worry. You are my woman after all." Mater meowed.

"What did he say, Aurora?" Selina said.

"Um…" Aurora felt everything was a little weird but she still translated it.

"Your woman?!" Selina blushed heavily. "What do you mean your woman?! I am no one's woman!"

Mater caressed Selina's cheek gently. "Señorita… Baby… No need to feel embarrassed. You have been my woman since the day we bathed together."

Aurora stared at the ridiculous scene. The cat declared its ownership to its very owner. Everything seems… surprisingly fitting.

The clone used Minor Distortion and turned invisible. It followed the three of them outside of the toilet and went away. The clone found a good place on a cabinet to lay down and monitored the police station.

Aurora stayed at the waiting area while Selina and Mater went inside Detective Baltimore's office.

"Miss Isles! I didn't think it would be this soon to see you reach Bronze Rank. I also have a look at your examination results as well. Very impressive stuff, Miss Isles." Alister said.

Selina lowered her head slightly because of embarrassment. "Thank you for your compliment, Detective."

"Here is your new Bronze Ankh. Please give me back the Iron Ankh."

Selina switched to the newly made Bronze Ankh. Different from the Iron one, the Bronze Ankh had Selina's full name on it.

"You are officially a law enforcer now. You have much more freedom than us policemen of course but will also face a lot more danger because you are alone." Alister said.

"I'm not alone. I have Mater!" Selina picked up the cat.

"Right. I saw the report as well. Your cat is really strong. But more help is always a good thing. Remember that."

"I will, detective."

"Bronze Bounties are more dangerous than Iron ones. I suggest finding some Paranormal Investigators that you can team up with. It will be safer and easier to solve the case.

Additionally, the Bronze Ankh badge is different from the Iron Ankh. It has a minor NES barrier that you can activate by channeling your Psycho Force into it.

It itself is also an exorcism item. Any evil spirit will burn if they touch it. This also includes the people that are possessed. If you think someone isn't right. You can make them touch the badge to verify.

Finally, the badge will react to intense negative emotions. So when it starts to shake and make a noise, you know there is something dangerous nearby."

"Thank you again, Detective Baltimore. I will make sure to use it well."

Alister nodded. "You are dismissed."

Selina went away with Mater. The cat shot him a gaze before going out the door.

"Iris… Where are you now? If you know how talented your daughter is, you must be proud." Alister whispered to himself.

The three of them left the police station.

"What now?" Selina said.

Mater grabbed her phone and went through the list of Iron Bounties they still had.

The reward for yesterday's bounties had also arrived.

The first two were false positives so they didn't give much reward. The ACPD removed the bounties off the site and rewarded Selina with 150 credits and 3 tokens for each bounty. She got 300 credits and 6 tokens for these two.

The third case, the haunting apartment, was assessed as having a very dangerous NCE. It wasn't comparable to the NCE in NEO Mall but was more dangerous than the average NCE.

The ACPD rewarded Selina with 2,000 credits and 30 tokens for the first case.

In total, she got 2,300 credits and 36 tokens as a reward.

Currently, Selina had around 7,000 credits give or take.

2,000 was used previously to rent the cold storage for this month.

Her Bounty Hunter account had 181 tokens.

To reach Bronze Rank, a Bounty Hunter needed 100 tokens and a Psychic Certificate. But to reach Silver Rank, a Bounty Hunter needed at least 500 tokens and a Hazard level Psychic Certificate.

Similar to NCE, Psychics were split into ranks. Menace was the beginner rank while Hazard was the next rank.

Mater estimated Menace to be around the power as rank 1 enlightenment of his old world and Hazard for rank 2. Their actual power might be very different though. A rank 1 in his world would have slaughtered every single candidate of the previous examination.

"500 tokens are easy. With the rate of me killing wraiths, Selina should be able to achieve it in a matter of days. Hazard level is difficult though. She must learn to master her power and advance her rank.

Luckily, the university program should begin soon. She will have her time to develop there."

Mater scrolled through the bounties list and chose some that were near their location.

The group ordered a taxi to arrive there.

On their way, Mater meowed.

Aurora whispered to Selina, "Master said you should buy some vehicle. It would be easy for us to go around the city."

"I also want a car. But a car is at least 20,000 credits, Aurora. Even a used car is 15,000 credits or more." Selina said.

"What about a motorcycle?"

"Oh? A motorcycle is much cheaper. We can get one for a few thousand credits."

"I decided! We should get a motorcycle!" Mater meowed.

Selina didn't need Aurora's translation to understand Mater's approval. She also really wanted a motorcycle. There was nothing better than a cool motorcycle to pair with a goth girl.

They arrived at the location for the next bounty shortly after.
