For the remaining cases, most of them were false positives or involved with very weak wraiths. Mater was able to salvage two level 1 wraiths and one level 2 wraiths, accumulating 10 Chaos Stones.

He, Selina, and Aurora came to a school to solve the last bounty.

They stood in front of Willow Wood High School. It was summer so there weren't a lot of students and teachers around. There used to be supplementary classes opened in the summer but after what happened the previous semester, very few classes survived.

Selina surfed the internet and checked the news article about the tragic event that happened in this High School. Contrary to the usual suicide fashion that wraiths liked to cause, there was a murder in this school.

A boy was killed by his classmates, straight up. However, the killer was only sentenced to rehabilitation in a juvenile facility for five years and no other punishment.

Selina read the articles then blurted out. "Five years?! He killed a person and he only got five years. If I was the victim, I would definitely become an NCE."

Mater nodded. He then scanned the sky above the school. A thick cloud of Chaos was hovering above it.

The black cat meowed.

"Master said you're not wrong. The school stinks with negative emotions. There is a very high chance that a wraith is inside." Aurora said.

"Alright then. Let's get in."

The three of them approached the school gate where a security guard stopped them.

"School is closed today. No class is being held." The man said.

Selina took out her Bronze Ankh Badge. "I am a private investigator working for the ACPD. I need to enter the school to investigate."

The security guard stared at the badge. "I saw many police badges before but I haven't seen that kind of badge before. Did you just create a fake one?"

"You can check it on the official website of the ACPD. It is not a police badge but an investigator badge, that is why it is different."

"Alright then. Where is your warrant?"

Selina entered the Bounty Hunting Site and downloaded the document that the police prepared for the investigators.

"Here. I don't have a physical copy but I have a digital one."

"Digital warrant? Are you kidding me, lady? Get a real warrant and maybe we can talk."

Mater whispered something to Aurora.

She turned to the security guard. "We don't want to cause a commotion because of what recently happened in this school. But if you really want to do so, we can call the police department. They can set up a premises around the school, freezing all operations inside.

Including your security job. I assume they won't pay you if that happens."

"Eh..." The mouth of the security guard twitched a little.

"Fine. You can enter. But do not break anything." The security guard slotted the key in and opened the gate.

"Don't worry. We are only here to fix things." Selina smiled.

The three of them entered the school. Instantly, they could feel the difference between this place and the others. The air there was cold and extremely arid. Sounds traveled extremely far and created unusual echoes.

"This place is definitely haunted." Selina said. His voice echoed through the empty schoolyard.

"Where should we go, Mr. Mater?"

The cat scanned the buildings. He noticed a place that had a lot of Chaos built up. The cat pointed his paw toward that direction.

"That place!" Mater meowed.

Selina took the Dark Grimoire out of her backpack and held it in her arms, ready for Mater to use it. The black cat climbed on her shoulders.

With Mater's guidance, they quickly got on top of the second floor of a building and walked toward the end of the hallway, where the male restroom was.

"This is the place?" Selina said.

"It would seem to be so." Mater meowed.

Aurora walked in the front and pushed the door to the restroom open. Inside, a line of urinals were installed on the left while the cubicles were on the right. It was a very spacious restroom for a high school.

However, it was extremely dirty. Piss stains filled the floor and the horrible smell of urine took over the air.

Selina waved her hands a few times but the smell stayed. She took out a face mask and put it on.

"This place is disgusting!" Selina said.

"You should have seen the shitholes in my old world." Mater said. As a cat, he was even more susceptible to the smell. His noise was ten times more sensitive than humans.

Mater almost fainted when the smell attacked him. He deliberately used a little bit of Chaos to block the smell outside. His black nose glowed redder, looking like he was blushing.

Selina couldn't help but chuckle at the black cat with a red nose.

"Don't laugh, woman!" Mater hissed.

They continued to investigate the restroom. Aurora kicked open the doors of every cubicle. She only found dirt, piss, and whatever waste or trash there was on the floor.

Selina wrinkled when she saw those. "No wonder why there was a murder in this school. They didn't even care to keep the restroom clean."

Mater scanned the room. There was nothing out of the ordinary in the physical world but he saw something in the mirror.

The black cat pointed to the mirror and Selina got close.

The three of them stood side by side. The mirror reflected normally but in Mater's Chaos Eyes, he saw a humanoid shadow cornered in the rest room.

"Are you a ghost? Or are you a wraith?" Mater meowed.

The shadow looked up. He had no face nor mouth. He had no body nor flesh. What he only had was a shadow.

Suddenly, the shadow grew a mouth. It screamed.

The scream reached over to the physical world and broke all the mirrors instantly. Aurora jumped in front of Selina, blocking all the glass shards. She was a glass cannot but she was still a Wight.

The glass shards smacked into her skin but weren't able to leave any cuts on it.

Selina hid behind Aurora while the cat ducked down to avoid the shards. When everything calmed down. The mirror was completely shattered and all the doors they opened instantly closed.

From beneath a cubicle, a long shadow hand reached out and grabbed at Selina's ankle.

"Eek!" She jumped up in fear.

The black cat shouted, releasing a soundwave that pushed the shadowy hand back.

"Get out of this room first, Selina!" Aurora grabbed her wrist and ran out.

The Dark Grimoire jumped out of Selina's hands and opened up, allowing Mater to jump on it.
