CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror

Chapter 76: Road Trips

"Hey, baby. What's your name?" The guy sat at Selina's table and smiled hideously.

"I'm not interested. Please go." Selina said.

"Come on, baby. Don't be like that. I can be your friend."

The guy reached his hand out and tried to touch Selina's shoulder. He froze mid-motion when he heard some commotion behind.

The short truck driver tried to push the waiter but he didn't budge.

The waitress got in between them.

"Lucas. Please. Can you stop causing trouble!" She said.

"Get out of here, Michelle. I need to teach this boy a lesson." Lucas took out a knife.

The waiter was only standing there letting Lucas do whatever he wanted. But the moment the knife was out, the waiter immediately turned serious.

Michelle pushed the male waiter away. "Just go, Ken. It's not worth it."

The waiter took a deep breath and walked away. It was obvious that he tried his best to maintain his composure.

"Yeah, get the fuck out, pussy." Lucas yelled. He grabbed a beer bottle and was about to throw it at Lucas.

A dark hand grabbed his wrist.

Everyone turned to see the new person that just entered the diner.

It was a person in a trench coat and a fedora. He wore a unique black fabric that covered his entire body, hiding his true identity.

That black fabric was simply Crow's skin. But for ordinary people, they mistaken it as a mask of some kind.

"Real men do not bully the weak." Crow said in a low tone.

"Oh? Where did he learn that?" Mater meowed. "Must be from Aaron's memory."

"Who is this jackass?" Lucas yelled at Crow only for him to clench his wrist tighter, making Lucas drop the bottle in his hand.

Lucas was still holding a knife in the other hand. He plunged it into Crow.

Crow released the grasp on Lucas's wrist. His hands quickly caught Lucas' other hand, the one with the knife. He pulled Lucas closer and threw him over the shoulder.

The knife fell on the floor.

With the memory of Aaron Cage was the fighting skill and experience he had accumulated all his life. Crow only had spells but not experience to fight.

He had both now.

Lucas groaned in pain on the floor. One simple throw incapacitated him. His friends quickly jumped in but they were no match with Crow.

A punch here. A kick there. The group of men quickly got messed up. They all lay on the floor, groaning in pain.

The last one, the man that sat at Selina's table, tried to hide behind the chair.

Selina pointed at him. "There is still one here."

"You?!" The man widened his eyes as Crow grabbed his shirt and threw him over the table. The man joined his other friends on the floor.

"Listen up. I will check on this diner regularly. If you dare cause trouble here again, I will mess you up. Permanently this time.

Everyone got that?" Crow shouted.

"Yeah..."

"We won't cause any more trouble..."

Most of them agreed. But Lucas wasn't. He took out a gun and aimed at Crow.

"Eat this, motherfucker."

The gun roared and the bullet screamed at Crow. The fedora man simply dodged to the side, his palm grabbed at the bullet at lightning speed.

Everyone was silent. When Crow opened his palm, the bullet fell to the floor. It caused the smallest noise when it came into contact with the ground but the largest echo in their mind.

"You?!" Lucas's lips trembled.

Crow approached the man and stomped on his knee, breaking it completely.

"A simple bar fight and you tried to kill someone? What kind of a man are you? Let me give you a more effective reminder."

Lucas shouted at the top of his lungs. He cried like a baby. Crow took Lucas' gun away.

"Selina can use that. Keep that, Crow. And take all the bullets as well." Mater telepathically communicated with Crow.

"Yes, Master."

Crow crouched down and took all the bullets on Lucas's body. Before he left, he slapped on Lucas's cheek a few times.

"Let this be a lesson. Do not go around and be stupid like this again."

Lucas nodded in tears.

Crow turned to Michelle. "If they come back, just call me."

Michelle nodded.

Crow left the diner. He went out of sight of the people inside and hid somewhere nearby for Mater to pick him up later.

Selina and Mater were also finishing their lunch.

"Well. I'll be going as well." Selina walked over the squirming bodies on the floor and paid her bills.

She and Mater got out of the diner.

"Wait a minute. That guy didn't give me a number to call yet?!" Michelle suddenly remembered. But she didn't say anything. She knew that, but these thugs didn't.

Selina and Mater got on the bike. Crow turned back to a crow and flew to them. He turned into a strip of shadow and went inside the Dark Grimoire.

"We should be arriving in Ines Sota in a few more hours." Selina said.

"Wake me up when we're there." Mater hid inside her shirt. He went to sleep to pass the time.

Around sunset, the pair arrived at Ines Sota. From the hill where they're at, they could see the entire town. It was a much smaller town compared to the big Aeliz City.

In the far side of the city was the Onoke Swamp, the target of their bounty.

Selina tapped at her shirt, waking up Mater.

"We're here, Mr. Mater."

Mater popped his head out and looked at the scenery. This place had much more trees than Aeliz City. The entire town was surrounded by thick dense woods.

The black cat climbed out of her shirt and stood in the front of her motorcycle.

"Welp. Let's find somewhere to stay first." Mater meowed.

They rode through the streets of Ines Sota. There weren't many people here so when the townsfolk immediately noticed Selina, the stranger.

The buildings here were much different. There were very few tall buildings. The tallest would be at most a few stories best, not dozens of stories like the skyscraper in Aeliz. The air was fresh and clean.

Selina stopped in front of a motel.

"How about this place?" Selina said.

Mater put a thumbs up.

"Alrighty then." The motorcycle went into the parking area.

As she climbed down, a few teenagers of the opposite noticed her.

"Look at that! Who is that?!"

"Damn, she looks hot."

Then Selina removed her helmet and flipped her hair to let them flow free. Her smooth glowing hair and beautiful face caught them off guard. The boys gulped and stared without blinking.

"These boys acted like they've never seen a pretty woman before." The black cat noticed it and rolled his eyes.

He and Selina went to see the front desk.
