The small circle was filled with a black color. Then suddenly, the color smeared outside of the line, creating some sort of faded dark light.
[Blinding Void]
[Effect]: Create a sphere with a 5-centimeter radius. Once created, you can hold this sphere for a maximum of 30 seconds before explosion. Otherwise, you can ignite it as will. Once exploded, any targets you deemed as enemies within a 10-meter radius of the sphere would be blinded for 18 seconds.
[Cooldown]: 48 seconds
Mater opened his small paw. A sphere of complete darkness emerged from within his skin. It was much smaller than the Nether Spheres and had a black color instead of purple.
The tiny sphere pulsed rapidly. Mater held it from exploding but he could feel the volatile nature within it becoming more and more unrest.
"I have the perfect idea on how to test this."
Mater jumped on the book and flew out of the window. He approached the group of teenagers that gazed at Selina's body before.
The black cat threw the black sphere right at them. The sphere exploded into a ten-meter dark space. Darkness filled the area only for a blink of an eye, much less than a second. But it blinded all those teenagers.
They stumbled around in panic.
"Mommy! Help me!"
"I'm blind! I'm blind!"
"Grenade! Someone attacked us!"
"Save me you guys!"
The teenagers collided with each other, which made the black cat fall on the book and hold its belly laughing non-stop.
"That's hilarious!" The black cat wailed then flew back into the motel.
The panic teenagers gained their vision back after eighteen seconds. They froze in place and looked at each other dumbfounded. Not one understood what had happened.
18 seconds wasn't that long. But it would turn the tide of battle inside combat.
Mater returned to the motel. Their group set out once more. Crow turned into a bird and stayed in the sky to monitor the area. Aurora sat behind Selina on the Motorcycle while Mater squeezed in Selina's collar.
If Aurora wasn't that cold, Mater would much more prefer sitting between two pretty women.
The abandoned warehouse once belonged to a workshop of woodworkers and was used as wood storage. Unfortunately, the business was bankrupted and the place was deserted for years.
In time, it became a place for a group of delinquents to hang out. They were mostly college dropouts, addicts, and homeless orphans.
But these days, they went by the name Roady Seven. It was named after Route 7, the road that went through the entirety of Ines Sota. The same street that these people grew up in and were abandoned by their own society. Or so they thought.
The truth was they were just a group of delinquents and fiends.
That day, the group put on their 'uniforms' once again. These were old police uniforms that they scavenged from the junkyard.
Their leader, Rat Cathy pulled out a Bronze Ankh Badge from his pocket and stuck it into his waist. She had a nose piercing and a large provoking tattoo on her arm.
Her tattoo was much less artistic and nice like Selina. It was vulgar and hard to look at.
"Alright, boys and girls. Who are we going to scare today?" Cathy said.
"Why don't we go and scam that General Store again? That punk Timothy doesn't seem bright at all."
"Yeah. He looked completely clueless and even thanked us for our services. Hahaha!"
Laughter filled the warehouse. Cathy laughed with them. She raised her fist and everyone shut their mouth.
"Listen up. If we keep going like this, they will figure us out. So we need to do a big con and get the hell out of here.
That old geezer Carter is not stupid. He is going to smell us out soon. So who has ideas?"
"Why don't you just rob the bank then?" A low deep voice echoed throughout the warehouse.
"The bank is a little bit excessive." Cathy frowned. "Who said that?!"
She turned to the door and saw Crow. His trench coat flapped in the wind and his slightly tipped fedora.
All the members of the Roady Seven stood up.
"Who the fuck are you?!" A male member screamed. He quickly grabbed a baseball bat from under a shelf.
Crow walked inside the warehouse. He turned his head and scanned the entire interior. The Ankh Badge on their waist glimmered gently.
Crow raised his hand and aimed it at Cathy's waist.
"Those things don't belong to you. Return it now."
Another male member picked up a machete and slammed it on a piece of metal. The crisp sound of metal collision spread throughout the space.
"We asked! Who the fuck are you?"
Crow squinted his eyes. "I do not want to hurt you. Do not make this more ugly than it needs to be."
"Who does this guy think he is? Some kind of masked vigilante? Beat him up!" Cathy screamed.
Crow cracked his neck and raised his hands into the classic boxing stance.
"Come and play, kids." Crow waved at them.
Mater, Selina, and Aurora sat on the motorcycle outside eating ice creams.
The goth girl fed the black cat a purple taro ice cream while she ate an all black chocolate. Aurora ate a mint extra cold blue ice cream.
Aurora was a Glacial Wight. She did not need to eat or drink. She could, however, still enjoy their flavor. The extra minty flavor made her body tingling.
The black cat licked the purple ice cream without stop.
"This thing is delicious! I want five thousand more!" The black cat purred while eating.
Selina chuckled. But then she showed a worried expression. "Can Crow deal with those kids? I mean... They are just humans so Crow can definitely deal with them. But I'm afraid he might be hitting too hard."
Mater raised his paw and waved dismissively. He meowed something but Selina couldn't understand that.
"Master said you have nothing to worry about. Amongst the four of us, he is the one with the most morality." Aurora said. She put the entire ice cream in her mouth no problem.
"I see."
The fight ended without Crow even using a single drop of Chaos. He walked out of the abandoned warehouse with one delinquent in each hand. Crow dropped the members of Roady Seven on the ground.
"Case solved." Mater meowed.
