When Elena arrived at the meeting hall all the other members who were going to participate in this meeting. It was not like Elena intentionally became the last person to enter the meeting hall. Yes, she was supposed to be the last person as she held the most authoritative position here but still Elena didn't like being late for anything.

But while she tried to go to the meeting hall as soon as possible, she bumped into a crying little girl about 3-4 years old. It was weird to see little girls inside a camp but this case was special.

This little girl's name was Anne. She was born inside this city and she was the only person to be born here. Her mother was an elite soldier in the army and her father was a renowned blacksmith. So they didn't get the chance to leave the camp at all.

And Anne was born with a special kind of bloodline and she grew up twice as fast. She was currently actually only close to 2 years old but she looked like a baby of at least 3 or 4. And she was very much loved inside the city.

She was crying and it was hard even for Elena to calm her down instantly. Anne's was a child and children's mind ought to be restless so it was hard to find her reason for crying by reading her thoughts. And she was also unable to answer anything properly as she was very distressed for crying. So even Elena had to take some time to calm her down. And that was why she became a bit late. It was still 3-4 minutes before the start of the meeting but everyone came in before her.

But she didn't bother with the thought of other insignificant people and she even overlooked some lustful and angry gazes of some of the attendees. She went straight to the main seat and signalled to start the meeting.

There were quite a lot of fools who were displeased as Elena was able to gain authority over them even tho she was nothing but a dirty adventurer. But they were stunned by her beauty and their contempt for Elena changed into lust.

But Elena was in a good mood today so she didn't bother with them for now and she decided to deal with them at a later date. But obviously not everyone was like that. As soon as the major general Sandy and Saradina noticed that some of the attendees were holding malice toward Elena, they directed their killing intent toward them. This made the faces of those people go pale.

Elena tapped the long table once and that sound made the overbearing killing intent to instantly vanish. Elena then said -

"The war is coming closer and closer. Now is not the time when you should take care of trash but even the trash have it's usefulness. Focus on the meeting for now. I do have some things to say but I will only speak up at the end of the meeting after hearing about other's proposals and ideas. So, go on. Start the meeting."

After that the meeting finally started. Other than the Major General Sandy and three other veteran generals, there were 10 elite head commander who also held considerable authority themselves even tho they were also only the part of the elite.

Then there was the intelligence department consisting of 3 remote head intelligence officers and 5 site head intelligence officers. Saradina among them hold a special position of being a "special circumstance officer" and hold authority equivalent to them.

Other than them, the head of blacksmith union and the apothecary union were also present as they also held a very important position inside the city of Jysis. And the last important group was the group of several mages who were send here by the the Duke and Royal families.

Those were all the important people who were the main players of this city.

In the meeting many ideas were exchanged. Some were good and some were rubbish but the variety was great. Sandy, Saradina and the three old generals were in charge of selecting proper ideas from the bunch. Elena should also be participating in this search but she didn't interfere and allow the generals to make their decision without any bias.

While the generals were busy sorting the ideas Elena was not idle either. She was also busy observing the interaction between the major general Sandy and his aide Saradina. The chemistry between them was really good and they unconsciously looked out for each other. The Major General was somewhat rash in his decision making but Saradina always had a cold and calculating outlook toward the ideas. She was also very blunt and straight with her words toward the people who were giving worthless ideas.

And the most interesting thing was that whole they were doing the serious work some times their hands might touch without them noticing and they finally noticed it they would feel very embarrassed. Sandy and Saradina both were over 25 years old but the way they behaved was like teenagers in love for the first time. That was quite entertaining to watch.

So when the idea exchange part of the meeting was over the generals themselves told the group about their own decisions and strategies. This was also the time when Saradina released the extra information that she got from Elena last night. This extra piece of information made the other attendees very worried as that would mean that the opponent had a really strong force with them.

As Elena was involved with the information so she also spoke up again and supported Saradina and her statements. She also told the about some simple counter measures that could be implemented to hold off the enemy for a short amount of time. But what everyone could understand for this new information was that they must need reinforcement if they wanted to win this war and also the fact that this war was not going to be a small thing but a large scale war.

When some of the attendees were panicking Major General Sandy encouraged them by declaring the several special type of weapon that they had. Elena had worked with the royal family and the army to design some simple siege and fortress defending weapons. They were not anytime major but they definitely gave a good amount of advantage to the current army.

Other than that he also said that he had already asked for reinforcements from both the king and the Margrave Canvisiny. And according to them a decent amount of reinforcement would appear as early as tomorrow. So they did not need to worry about not having enough hands for the war.

Then finally it was Elena's turn to tell them about her plans and ideas. She stated with the flaws she found in the defencive system of the city. Everyone was really impressed with Elena's expertise with this topic as noticing such tiny flaws was impossible without having a very keen insides about defensive war and a vast amount of experience.

After identifying the flaws she systemically gave solutions to all the flaws. Not a single solution but several and the attendees were told to freely choose. They were also free to suggest a better method if anyone knew anything.

After this she gave some special advice and ideas to the crafter heads. Elena taught them about a special process to efficiently create mass produced items and to minimise the uses of rare metals by utilising them in maximum possible capacity.

Next she gave some suggestions to increase the morale of the army and to create a more efficient petroling schedule. If that schedule was implemented the soldiers would be able to get more time to rest and training. That would increase the efficiency and the overall strength for the soldiers. And as every single soldiers present here were elites, they needed it all the more.

Finally she ended her announcements after advising the generals to tighten their surveillance network and to better cooperate between the mages and the intelligence officers. All her suggestions were on point and would allow the city to better protect itself. It would also increase their strength and would help them to be more confident in resisting the enemy.

No one had anything more to add and had any kind of questions against her as her plans and ideas were perfectly on point. So they could only accept her ideas and nodded their heads repeatedly. Then finally as everyone was finished with their topics and they did not have anything more to add the meeting was finally over.

At the end of the meeting major general Sandy and his aide Saradina came to meet Elena and personally apologized for the behaviour of their subordinates. They also promised to punish them accordingly. Elena did not mind it as she already planned to deal with them so she just let these lovebirds do their own thing. If they could be thorough with the clean up then that was good about if they were not thorough with it then Elena had to step in and she herself would clean up all the trash. The war was a cruel thing and they could not allow trash to create problems during it.

Thinking such things Elena went back to her room.
