After running away from his fortress, Horas did not go to a remote location of the Gaim Empire as most expected but he played a brave move and went back to your capital. He used the fact that Leonhart was out of the capital and used some of his hidden connections he made during his overlord days to sneak back inside Nyanthella.

But he obviously could not just go back to his old house or any other locations he usually used, as he was sure those places would be monitored heavily. But as a cunning individual, he had many more options prepared for a critical situation like the one he was currently in.

He had brought a house in the slums of the capital. That part of the capital was mostly not monitored at all so he was plenty sure that the Lion beast overlord clan would have no idea about it. He also had a few other options, but the slum one was the most secured one among all the options and at that time security was most important to Horas so he decided to stay in the slums for the time being.

But there was still a problem with that. As the house he had brought in the slums had not been used for a long time, some small time thugs had taken it as their base. So when he went to what he assumed to be his safe haven, he found that place to be dirty and unusable. Some of the thugs were still there drinking and having fun.

In a fit of anger, Horas almost forgot that he was in a dire situation himself and beat all the thugs up. That was a mistake, as the gang behind those thugs showed up to cause more trouble with him and he became the center of attention for the time being. And that was something he did not want at all. Being the center of attention at this time could only create trouble for him.

But that fight with the gang ended up being a blessing in disguise. The gang that attacked him was a gang called "Dark Liberation Gang" and it was one of the three strongest gangs in the slum area. So, when he was able to beat up even the gang leader himself, he was able to take control of the whole gang quite easily. He was once an overlord who had the experience of managing a large clan, so managing this gang was quite easy for him.

After working with the dark liberation gang for some time, he was pleasantly surprised to find out that even tho the overall strength of these gangs were not very high, they still had a very wide information network, which was even better than many beast king clans. Not only that but that information network also had quite a high potential for growth too. That was what made Horas hopeful that with enough time, he could make a comeback with the help of this dark liberation gang and he started to hatch a plan to disrupt the royal family.

But he never even imagined in his life that a transcendental being would use him as a scapegoat to buy for time for her student and his well thought out plot would come to an unfortunate end even before it started.

Lisa was pleasantly surprised to know that their upcoming journey would be delayed for a few days. She really wanted to spend just a bit more time in the library so this news came at a really perfect time.

After finding the diary of inheritance, Lisa's hunger for more books just increased. She went to the library whenever she had free time. Lisa never got any other book as incredible as the diary of inheritance again but after reading so many books he knowledge did get a massive boost.

After knowing that they would stay in the capital for the time being, she instantly bid goodbye to Elena and went back to the library. Elena just gave her an encouraging smile and nothing more for the time being. Reading books is a good thing but doing that all the time was definitely not and Elena was sure to let her understand this in the future but not now.

Leonhart was quick to take action. He gathered a division of soldiers at a fast pace and sent them to the slums to encircle it. And he sent quite a lot of his spies to search for Horas. He wanted to finish this operation as soon as possible and then he could focus solely on courting Elena.

Even tho he sent some of his top class A rankers to the slums, he was still very worried about the different legendary tools that Horas had. He was from an overlord clan which had stayed in the position of power for a long time. So, they were able to collect quite a huge amount of legendary items throughout their several generations.

That was the reason why, Leonhart himself also went to the slums incognito and kept an eye on the overall situation.

The very first challenge that the royal spies faced was the extreme attitude of the slum's residents. Those spies were mainly trained to gather information from the high level clans, so they were perfect in manners and such things that they needed to infiltrate those high and mighty clans. But that same expertise became their downfall at this moment as they had little to no idea as how to handle the misbehaving and rude slum dwellers.

So they were having a really hard time gathering information in the slums even tho all the spies were elite in their own rights. Fortunately not all of them were in such a bad situation. Some of the spies were formerly from the slums, so after some time they were able to get used to the atmosphere of the slums and were able to gather the needed information. But as the number of spies who managed to accommodate were very little, the information gathering effort took a lot more time than what Leonhart expected.

But that was not the main problem. Some of the spies were acting so bad that quite a few people got suspicious of them and as Horas was trying to create a very strong information network he was one of the very first ones to get hold of this news. As an experienced person he was quickly able to deduct several reasons as to why suspicious people would show up in the slums and even if his existence was not the only reason it was the most probable one.

Horas was not a daredevil. He was a very cautious person. So, his first thought was to give up on everything in the capital and to run away. But he was also a very ambitious person too. So he did not want to give up on the things he was able to build up after losing his all. And he also thought that deciding to run away without any tangible danger would be way too cowardly of him. So, for once he decided to believe in his mind rather than to his instincts and that was how Horas made a huge mistake and probably the last mistake of his life. He decided to stay in the slums and to watch over the situation without running away instantly.

Leonhart did not want to give Horas any chance to run away. So, he brought out an artifact that was even more valuable than a legendary item. It was called "Peaceful Realm Crystal" and it was a treasure that the very first Lion Emperor left behind.

It had a very simple effect. This crystal could create a domain surrounding about 5 kilometers and that domain could completely block any kind of teleportation and spacial abilities to take effect. This crystal did not have any other uses other than to lock the space of a certain region but many people liked to use a spacial item as their life saving Trump Card so this crystal became a very precious artifact with its ability to block space.

Other than using this artifact, Leonhart also sent Nakuru with his most elite wolfkins accompanying him. This unit could even rival a low level S rank in battle might with the perfect teamwork of the wolf beastkins. Not only that but Leonhart also gave Nakuru a special item that he got from a dungeon called the command bracelet which gave a good boost to any unit with a good commander in the lead and Nakuru was actually a better commander than even Leonhart, so the boost his unit recieved was amazing.

When Horas noticed that he was actually the target of the suspicious people, it was already too late. The whole slums were surrounded by the royal army and the super elite unit of Nakuru was already closing in on Horas. This almost made Horas go mad with rage was once again he had to run away like a defeated dog. But when he activated his teleportation device, nothing happened. Seeing that Horas focused on the surrounding to finally notice the domain that was covering the area arround him.

Peaceful Realm Crystal was a very famous item and he instantly guessed that it was been used. He now completely went berserk with rage and became ready to finally do his last stand.
