The city of Hel Oieri was known to be one of the biggest commercial cities of this continent. Due to their closeness to the sea, many merchants came to visit this city, including beastkins, humans and even a very few vampire merchants. So this was one of the rare cities of the Gradvilde continent where races other than elves or dwarves could be seen.

As it was a big city, the traffic of the main gate was quite big so most of the time the guards were extremely busy and did not stop working at all. But today was a bit different. All of them suddenly got stunned when two ladies suddenly appeared in order to enter the city.

One of them had beautiful golden hair and the second lady had silky black hair tied in a ponytail. Both of them were extremely beautiful as if the goddesses themselves had appeared in the world. But the main reason why all the men suddenly stopped working was because the black haired lady was wearing a very skimpy outfit.

Obviously these two ladies were Elena and Tomoe. After leaving the Sacred village, Elena brought Tomoe to visit this seaside city. This was one of the destinations that Elena already had in her wishlist and as there were many diverse races living in this city, it would be a good outing experience for Tomoe.

Elena still had a few places in the desert that she wanted to visit but she decided to do that later. Tomoe had seen the desert all her life so that place was not special to her at all. That was the reason why she brought her to this city which would allow her to witness completely different scenaries.

Even though the guards were a bit surprised, they were still very professional and soon both Elena and Tomoe were inside the city. Elena used her adventurer card as her identity proof and all the ladies of the Sacred Village also had special identity proofs that were given to them by the temples. So both of them were able to enter the city without any problem.

After entering the city, the very first thing that Elena did was to search for an inn. While searching for it, she also walked around the city alongside Tomoe. As it was her first time visiting a different place, she was looking at everything in amazement.

Soon after asking around a few locals, Elena was able to find a beautiful inn at a remote corner of this city. This inn was surrounded by many plants and the interior was also filled with it. This place also had a very cozy atmosphere and both of the ladies liked it.

When they were booking a double room from the cute elvin receptionist, Tomoe tried to pay for both of them. She was given a decent amount of money by Melline to spend outside so she was quite set in that regard. But Elena did not accept it and patted her head while saying that she would allow her to pay for Elena next time but before that Tomoe needed to learn the value of money and also the value of other things that the money was able to buy. Only then Elena would allow her to pay for their lodging.

Having no other choice Tomoe accepted Elena's proposal but at the same time her determination to learn about the use of money also increased. As they had reached very close to the city with a simple and fast teleportation, they were not tired at all. So after getting a good room they decided to walk around the city a bit more.

Elena asked in the kitchen to learn that the lunch would be served after about 3 hours so Elena decided to roam the city for that amount of time with Tomoe with her. Tomoe was also fine with this arrangement as she was already looking forward to seeing what this city had to offer.

Elena knew that Tomoe was not really very interested in things like jewellery or dresses, so instead of taking her to the regular connection area of the city, Elena took her to the commercial area for the adventurers. There were shops selling potions, weapons, armours, magic tools and more. This place was also filled with many rough looking adventurers and some of them were actually quite skilled.

Tomoe had never seen any humans or beastkins before so she was extremely surprised to see them. Especially beastkins as they looked completely different from elves, humans or dwarves. As for the dwarf race, some dwarves had come by to visit the secret village some times, so Tomoe was familiar with them and was not overly surprised. But still it was evident from her excitement that she was not very used to the city life.

Many people understood that and looked at her with greed. They judged her to be an easy target. After entering that city and seeing that the weather was not very hot here and that almost no one was wearing such revealing clothing, Tomoe also covered herself up a bit more. That was the reason why she was not getting as many looks as when she was half naked.

Some of the shopkeepers started to call out to her and showed her various of their products. Even though Tomoe was still a greenhorn in the matter of business was true but still she had a very keen eye. At least keen enough to differentiate a good product from bad. And she was also very straightforward and out-spoken, so whenever she saw a low quality or fake product, she immediately called it out.

With that attitude of hers, Tomoe very soon became enemies with quite a few businessmen. That was because she called out to them in public and that ruined their reputation and trust in the eyes of the customers. That was the reason, why a few of the shopkeepers were giving her angry and even murderous glare. Elena could have stopped her from doing it or at least could have given her down advice but she did nothing like that it was going to be a good lesson for Tomoe to learn and experience.

Tomoe was not very impressed with the products of the place. The only shop that was able to interest her was the shop selling various potions. Obviously the desert area also had many pills and potions, their varieties were still limited because of the lack of various plant materials. So Tomoe was quite interested to check out what types of potions a bustling area like this would have.

Elena guided her to a large alchemical shop as that place would have the best collection of items. But just before they were going to enter it, Tomoe suddenly stopped and her eyes got serious. She felt a murderous intent directed toward her. So she told Elena to wait for her for some time and went toward a back alley.

Elena smiled seeing that and decided to wait for her to return while keeping an eye on Tomoe to see how she was going to handle the situation.
