After having lunch they decided to go out again to make some preparations for the next day. They wanted a ship for them to use so they went to the port to see if anyone was selling or lending a ship or not. Fortunately it turned out that selling and lending of ships was a very common business here and it turned out that there were also specialised craftsmen who were capable of creating ships extremely quickly with their specially developed magic.

So, Elena did not waste any time and quickly bought a small sized ship. Even though it was a small sized ship, it was actually one of the most expensive ones that this seller was selling. That was because it was not a normal run of the mill ship but a special magical one.

Normally even a small ship needed a lot of people to run it. But with all the magic items that were on Elena's new ship, it was possible for just a single person to operate it alone with a little bit of practice. That was the reason why she paid extra to buy this ship. Not only that but this ship was more durable than a normal ship too.

After getting their ship and registering their magical power on it, Elena and Tomoe immediately sailed with it to check it out. For Elena it was extremely easy to control as her mental capacity was just too much but Tomoe was facing a little bit of trouble. But not for long as very soon she was also able to control it very well. She was a fast learner and this was the proof.

Elena was very nonchalant after sailing into the vast seas as she had been on ships many times in her life, so it was a common occurrence for her. But for Tomoe it was a very noble experience as it was her first time to be in the sea.

At first she was very nervous and even a bit hopeful with her first experience but soon she was able to adjust and got used to it. She really liked the feeling of exploring the almost endless looking sea even though there was not much change in the scenery. She did not feel bored and even felt calm and comfortable in this kind of atmosphere.

In their excitement, Elena and Tomoe had travelled quite far ahead of the harbar. They did have a magic map and a magic compass in this ship which would always allow them to know where the harbar was so it was not really a big deal.

But then suddenly three ships appeared in their sight and it looked like they were heading toward their shop at a very fast speed. At that same time, two more ships appeared in the opposite direction and it looked like Elena and Tomoe's ship was sandwiched between them.

This was a sudden occurrence and Tomoe was extremely surprised. But she was not worried about the situation though as she was very confident in her own strength.

So both of them waited for the ships to come closer to them to see what these ships wanted to do. It did not take long for all the ships to get closer and they surrounded Elena's ship from all sides. These ships were not fully automated like Elena's ship and were larger in size, but they were also covered in various magic items useful for battle so it was definitely very expensive.

Actually only tourists were interested in magic operated fully automated ships as the maneuverity of these kinds of ships were very limited. So most of the ships that were used for sea fights were not automated. These groups of people who had surrounded Elena's ship were definitely elites who were very experienced in combat at the sea.

Soon some kind of magic item that was capable of boosting sound was used and someone asked for permission to board their ship for a chat. This was a very polite behaviour that no one expected after they acted so aggressively. This interested both Elena and Tomoe so they gave them the permission to board their ship.

As soon as the permission was given, from one of the ships that looked like the biggest one in the group, a lady flew up. There were bird-like wings made of fire behind her back and she was flying toward their shop using that. Feeling her aura Tomoe realised that this lady was also at the same rank as herself.

Very soon this lady landed on their deck very gracefully. She then put her left hand behind her back and saluted on her chest with her right hand. Any knowledge person would be able to judge that it was a special kind of greeting gesture that the navy of one of the nearby nations used as a form of salute. Then this lady introduced herself.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm, Selena Bekka Alvarez, a former Navy but currently I'm just a pirate trying to make a living."

This fair elvin lady had a beautiful face and mature body. Her hair and eyes were both red in colour. Her hair was cut short and reached only up to her shoulders. Even though she said that she was just a pirate, the way she acted looked exactly like a navy captain and a very righteous one at that. Her stern and serious expression just boosted that notion.

After hearing her introduction Elena and Tomoe also told her about their name and asked the reason why she wanted to talk. Then she started to explain her reason for seeking them out.

She had many informants in the city and from one of them she was able to get the news that they were in conflict with a certain group of people with whom she was also enemy with. So she sent another one of her subordinates to investigate them and she was soon able to find out that both of them were S rankers.

That was why she decided to contact them. She had also found out that her enemies, the slave traders were going to have a banquet tomorrow and she wanted to use that chance to destroy all of them. But there was a big problem with that plan.

These slave traders were really extremely rich and had managed to gather two S rank bodyguards. Selena would at most be able to take care of one of them but two S rankers were out of her league. That was why when she found out that two other S rankers were in the city she was overjoyed and wanted to enlist their help.

Elena understood the situation. Selena was a pirate because she was going against the authority of the city which was supporting the slave traders as it was extremely profitable. Selena was a good and righteous person who just wanted to end it. So both Tomoe and Elena decided to accept her proposal and started to make further plans with her.
