When the sun was about to show its face from the horizon, Elena and Tomoe were already ready for the voyage. They had not slept last night so when the sun was about to rise, both of them immediately came to the harbour. Elves did not really need to sleep everyday, so it was perfectly fine for Tomoe to not sleep at all.
After coming to the harbour they saw that the sailors who were in charge of the ship were still busy loading the ships with various supplies they would need for the journey. Only the ships belonging to the City Petrol were already ready for the journey. Seeing that Elena and Tomoe were already here, Collence took them to the luxurious room of the ship where Elena and Tomoe were going to stay for the next few days.
There they were served an amazing breakfast with food items that Elena had never seen before. When she asked the maid who was in the room about the foods, she replied that they were all dishes from the demon and vampire culture. As Elena had not visited a vampire or demon city, she did not have the opportunity to taste these dishes before.
Just as they were done with the eating, there was a knock on the door. The maid went to open it and told Elena that Collence was here with a few more guests. Elena gave them the permission to enter and only then four people entered the room.
One of them was obviously Collence. Among the others there were two dwarves and a vampire. Collence started to introduce everyone to Elena. One of the dwarves with an intellectual aura around him was a scholar from the biggest institution of this nation. His name was Luke and he was here to find out the cause for a powerful monster to suddenly come to the island. This was an important research to prevent this type of incidents from happening in the future.
As for the other dwarf with a thick beard, he was the admiral of the navy that would be accompanying the other ships to fight alongside them. His name was Nevelet and he was a reliable man with a good reputation and his personal strength was also impressive as he was a high grade B rank powerhouse. But his shop commanding skills were even more interesting and he promised everyone to do his best to allow everyone to reach the island safely.
As for the vampire, it was a lady who looked to be in her early twenties. She had a slender figure and her womanly assets were not very developed. But still she was giving off a charming and seductive aura. This was not something she was intentionally doing but instead it was actually the effect of her unique vampiric charm ability.
Her name was Alisia and she was the supervisor who was part of the marquis family to whom this shop actually belonged too. She herself was also as strong as an initial B ranker but if she got the chance to fight in the night, she would be able to increase her fighting power and could match the dwarvian admiral in strength.
She was very respectful to Elena and after speaking with her for some time she learnt that there was a very strict hierarchy in the vampire society and S rankers were always able to be at the top of most hierarchy. So being respectful to a person of this calibre was literally in her blood.
While all of them were busy talking, all the ships were finally ready to depart. So everyone went out of the room to watch the departure. Tomoe especially was quite excited after getting a chance to sail on the sea once again. Last time she did enjoy this experience quite a lot and this time it was not going to be any different either.
After the ship started moving on the sea, most of the vampires went inside their rooms to rest. As they were a nocturnal race, they had worked very hard throughout the whole night and now it was time for them to enjoy a peaceful rest.
Alisia did not go to rest though and continued accompanying Elena and Tomoe. Admiral Nevelet and scholar Luke had already left the ship and went back to the dwarvian battle ships. Collence also had many other duties to take care of and so he had also left. Currently only Elena, Tomoe and Alisia were sitting on the deck of the ship while eating some sweets and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the sea.
Elena was quite interested in the vampire culture and was planning to make a visit to that place very soon. So she wanted to know a little bit about the cultures of the vampire society. Vampires were one of the strongest and oldest races of this world so their cultures and societies were very developed.
Alisia answered all of Elena's questions to the best of her ability. As she was from a powerful noble family, she was not very knowledgeable about how regular vampires lived their lives but she was very knowledgeable about the noble cultures as she needed to study them as a child. So from her Elena was at least able to get a good idea about how the noble society of the vampires worked.
Just as they were having an interesting conversation, a bell suddenly started ringing. A sailor who was up at the mast suddenly shouted and said that a group of monsters were blocking their way up ahead. Almost at the same time communication arrived from the war ships that they were going to move away from the main ship to get rid of the obstacles.
The person keeping watch in the main ship was able to notice the monsters ahead before the war ships which were truly amazing. Elena and Tomoe both had noticed them way earlier but they did not do anything about it as these monsters were not very strong and the ships should be more than capable enough to take care of them without any problem.
So Elena did not worry too much about the problem and continued with the discussion. And just as she had expected, the war ships were able to take care of the sea monsters quite easily. Actually some of the soldiers even caught a few of those monsters as according to them, these fish like monsters went extremely well with strong booze after getting roasted. And dwarves were never going to miss a chance to make their drinks more enjoyable.
There were a few more monster attacks along the way but the warships were able to handle all of them without much trouble. But there was one time when a B rank fish type beast showed up. This time admiral Nevelet took action himself and chased it away. He did not kill the beast as this fish was known to bring good luck to the sailors, even though they were quite a dangerous fish. But killing them was seen as a bad omen so Nevelet did not do that.
Just like that, the ships reached the area close to the target island after 2 days of sailing.
