There was a legendary vampire sailor who was also a priest of the vampire goddess. He had managed to free himself from getting burned by the sun with a special blessing from the goddess and in order to return this favour done by the goddess he decided to visit the whole world and to spread her name all across the world.

His name was Spero and the stories of his adventure were very very among the vampire child. There was one of his stories that the general population did not know about and only veteran sailors knew about it. In this story there was an area, which their ship would also come across in this journey.

According to the story, Captain Spero had encountered a seven headed serpent here which was extremely poisonous and had several troublesome powers. For example it was capable of turning anyone into stone just from looking at that person or it was also able to mind control weaker monsters. This was truly a very troublesome enemy that was extremely hard to defeat.

The captain was only able to defeat it because he had the blessing of a goddess and was able to cast several priestly skills. So the debuffs that the powerful monsters used were not very effective on him. That was the reason why captain Spero was able to take his time and was able to damage the great serpent slowly but surely. And after some time this serpent went back to the depth of the sea.

So there was once a time when many adventurous vampires went out in search of this legendary serpent but none of them managed to find it. So after a long time had passed, the existence of that serpent had become a legend.

Just as Alisia finished describing that story to Elena, suddenly a bell started to ring on the ship. The person who was in charge of keeping an eye on their way shouted that a monster was coming to attack their ship. It was quite a large monster and colliding with it would damage the ship.

Alisia, Elena and Tomoe came out of their room to see what was happening. Then they saw that a huge whale-like monster was coming toward the fleet of ships at a very high speed. But the battle ships protecting the ships shot out several explosives using a magic item toward that large monster and after getting hit by those explosions that monster cried out in pain and went back to the depth of the sea.

Actually it was not the first time that the ship was attacked. There were countless numbers of monsters in the sea and they were also quite aggressive. So they continuously attacked the ship. This time the commotion was just a little bit bigger as the monster attacking was also bigger.

With this type of experience three days soon passed and the ship reached the area which was actually the place where Captain Spero was attacked. Even with this legendary story associated with this place, not many sailors came here without any work related reason as this place was very very normal.

There was nothing special to see in this area except for endless water that one could see in any part of the sea. That was the reason why no one was interested in visiting this area to sightsee. The same was the case for Tomoe who was quite disappointed after seeing that there was nothing unusual about this place.

Seeing the disappointed expression on Tomoe's face Elena smiled slightly and released a peculiar frequency discreetly. No one in the ship including Tomoe noticed it but the person for whom Elena released this frequency did. Immediately the calm sea became turbulent and sense of oppression appeared in everyone's heart.

Just as everyone was surprised by the sudden change, seven large pillars of water were seen and seven serpent-like heads appeared around the ship. The previous whale-like monster was big but each and every one of the serpent heads were bigger than that. And the oppressive pressure these serpents wear releasing, they were definitely S rank beasts.

Just as everyone was thinking how these seven S rank beings appeared to block their way, one of the sailors noticed that serpents were actually not independent entities and all seven of them were connected together. After realising it he suddenly remembered about a story he had heard in his childhood from a returning sailor and he murmured about it unconsciously.

Hearing him talking many other people also realised the peculiarity of this serpent and remembered the same story. Then all of them became even more surprised after realising that they were standing before a legendary creature.

Tomoe was also very surprised with the sudden appearance of this beast that even she had not noticed. Tomoe was able to judge the power level of this serpent and it was higher than her's or the little dragon's. Not only that but this beast gave off the aura of an ancient and experienced beast of the old. So it would not be a pushover in battle like the little dragon was. Tomoe judged that he she fought against it, she would have less than thirty percent chance of winning. But this thought made her more eager to fight instead of making her fearful.

This beast suddenly started moving toward the ships with the intention of attacking them. There was a an automatic defense system attached to the ships that fired some explosives at it. But unfortunately they had absolutely no effect on this ancient legendary beast and it was completely unharmed.

Tomoe immediately understood that she needed to take action immediately or all the ships would be destroyed within seconds. With that in mind she was about to make her move when Elena stopped her and asked her to take Turin with her to this fight. Elena had been giving Turin a little combat training whenever she had time and now it was time to see how much he had managed to improve.

Elena was also eventually planning to reveal the identity of Turin as her pet and this was a very good time to do that. All the sailors were already very familiar with the pet bird and the pet wolf so a new pet dragon would not be a big deal. It was important for Turin to also have an official identity when entering the vampire continent and Elena was planning to take care of that after this battle.

Elena wanted to give Tomoe a chance to use her body and she also wanted to see how much progress Turin had managed to make. That was the reason why used the frequency of the vampire goddess' blessing to provoke this serpent who was a servant of a different goddess who was always quarreling with the Vampire Goddess.

Now Elena was looking forward to the performance that Turin and Tomoe would give against a formidable opponent.
