Elena and Tomoe went to check this unnatural incident out. For Elena it was extremely easy to find out the real cause of this incident even without using her broken abilities. But on the other hand, Tomoe did not have any such abilities which were useful for investigation and such.

For that reason, Elena asked Tomoe to analyse this situation to find out the real cause behind it. This was a little like a test for her. For an adventurer, it was extremely important to have the ability to calmly analyse abnormal situations. During her journey with Elena, Tomoe had managed to learn quite a few things from Elena and now it was her time to test those out.

Throughout her journey with Elena, Tomoe had managed to learn a lot of new things. So as now their journey was coming closer to its end, she wanted to show Elena how much she had improved during this time.

Tomoe started her investigation by lightly hitting the glass wall. Even with the light hit, cracks appeared on it. It looked like even though the villagers were not able to do anything to this wall, that was mostly because they were too weak. After checking the durability of the wall on her own, Tomoe judged it to just be strong enough to withstand B rank attacks. A strong B ranker should be able to break this wall and for A rankers, it would be a work in the part.

After checking the durability of the wall, next Tomoe started to search for the source of this wall. The people trapped inside were extremely relieved to see Tomoe making cracks on the glass and they started cheering. But Tomoe told them to wait for a little bit as she still needed to do a little bit more investigation so she was not going to break the red glass wall yet.

After waiting for some time, the first thing that Tomoe noticed was the fact that the slight crack that she had created was not repairing. That meant that this wall did not have any recovery ability. Having a recovery ability was very common for most types of barriers, so Tomoe was a bit surprised.

After completing her investigation, Tomoe broke the barrier with a light impact and freed all the trapped people. Then she went to Elena and reported what she had managed to find out. After thoroughly checking the barrier, Tomoe was sure that this barrier was actually a part of a trap. Those people had triggered this trap and were trapped inside it.

From this Tomoe judged that the entity who was responsible for this trap, was not stronger than an A ranker and creating barriers was also not its only ability. Tomoe even had a feeling that this barrier trap was probably one of its weakest abilities.

So there was a very high chance that many more traps like the previous one were still outside the village. So Tomoe's next course of action was to search for them. But before that Elena and Tomoe were in the village head and told him about this matter. They also asked him to tell the villagers to not go out if they did not have any urgent need. After that Tomoe started to search for the traps again while Elena just watched over her. After this whole matter was over, she was going to give a thorough evaluation of Tomoe's performance.

After searching the area just outside the village, Tomoe was able to discover a total of 5 more traps. But after going a bit further away from the village, the number of traps drastically increased. And in the vicinity of a cave area, Tomoe was suddenly able to find an absurd number of traps.

The number of traps here was really insane. In just the 15 meter area around that cave, there were more than 100 traps. Tomoe could have broken through all the traps by just using her brute force but as this was a test for her, she decided to take a delicate approach and started to methodically dismantle the traps by using the knowledge she had gained from Elena. But after about an hour, she got bored and had a feeling that the creator of these traps had noticed her approach, so in order to speed up her search, Tomoe finally decided to use brute force.

With brute force, it took Tomoe no time to go through the area filled with traps and she immediately reached the front of the cave. Inside she found a small creature trying to dig a hole in order to run away from here. Tomoe moved with her lightning speed and caught this monster immediately.

As soon as Tomoe picked this monster up, it started struggling. Tomoe had expected to beat this monster up a little bit more but unexpectedly, it turned out to be extremely weak. Actually this unknown monster was just as strong as a little animal. Anyone above level 80 should be able to easily capture it without any problem.

The real level of this monster was 160. But physically it was so weak that even level 80 people were stronger than it. But at the same time, the traps it could create were so impressive that a level 200 plus B ranker would be struggling against it. This monster was an extremely good example of min-maxing its abilities.

After understanding that there was no way it would be able to free itself from Tomoe, this little monster suddenly started crying pitifully. Then it looked up at Tomoe with its tear filled eyes. Tomoe was immediately amazed by how cute it looked and started to gently pat its fluffy fur.

After a few minutes of fluffing, this little monster fell asleep. Even while sleeping, it looked extremely cute. Immediately Tomoe had the decision to make this monster a part of her pet group. Elena then came to congratulate her for a job well done and also told her that adopting this monster as her pet was a good idea.

Elena and Tomoe then returned back to the village and told the village chief that the crisis of the village was over. Tomoe had already destroyed all the previous traps that her new pet had made and her little buddy would not be able to create any more traps. So for the time being, all the villagers were fine to go out again.

After that they did not stay any longer in this village and left it with a new member joining them. Tomoe decided to make this new pet of hers lil Tommy as for some reason, Tomoe found this name to be extremely suitable for this cute little thing.

Just like that Elena and Tomoe's journey continued. The next danger zone was not too far away now.
