After leaving the village with Tomoe's new pet, it did not take them long to reach the next danger zone that was one them way. Unlike the previous danger zone which was dangerous because of its terrain, this place was a typical danger zone with powerful monsters. This place was actually a grassland but the grass here was over five meters tall and was violet in colour.

These grasses did not have any bad poison but ingesting these grass could strengthen the poison of other creatures. For that reason, all the monsters lived here had extremely powerful poison. The strongest monsters recorded in this place was an A rank Beast called Purple Striped Black Snake.

Usually its venom was not effective against S rankers but after leaving here for so long and eating these special grasses, the venom of this beast had become extremely powerful that even S ranker might be affected by it. This beast was also small in size and was extremely good at hiding its presence. That was the reason why even the S rank adventurers tried to avoid this place.

Elena and Tomoe entered this violet grassland while holding each other's hands. The reason for that was simple. As the grass here was too overgrown, without holding hands, they might get separated. Holding hands was not the only solution to it though as cutting or burning the grass was also possible. But when Elena asked Tomoe which option she would prefer, Tomoe wasted no time in deciding that holding hands was the best option.

As they continued forward while holding each other's hands, Tomoe sensed the presence of a monster. She was able to immediately find it and this monster turned out to be a small purple coloured beetle. It was very small, not longer than a few inches. But it was a B rank monster with extremely powerful poison.

Elena had already noticed this bug monster a long time ago. After seeing that Tomoe had also noticed it, she whispered into Tomoe's ears and told her to kill this monster without destroying a single blade of grass. In this area which was filled with grass on all sides, this was an extremely hard task to do.

But Tomoe was up to the challenge as one of the things that she had full confidence in was her own precise swordmanship. After practicing sword for so long, if she was incapable of doing even this much, then her whole life would become a lie.

So with all her concentration, Tomoe focused on her fingers and created a small aura ball filled with her extremely powerful sword energy. Then she took some time to aim this ball of sword energy perfectly and threw it toward the beetle. Tomoe's aim was perfect and this sword energy realised by her cut the beetle in two pieces without any resistance.

After successfully completing her mission, Tomoe continued her journey alongside Elena. They came across quite a few more monsters and beasts and all of them had powerful poison. But generally monsters with powerful poison had weak defense. So Tomoe had no problem disposing of them without much trouble.

This danger zone was not too large and after walking continuously for about 5 hours, Elena and Tomoe were about to reach the opposite side of this grassland from where they could again continue their journey toward the city of Neel. But before they were about to exist the danger zone, Tomoe suddenly felt a sense of danger. She immediately took her sword out and sent a sword slash toward whatever was trying to attack her.

But her attack missed. It turned out that her enemy also had a fast reaction speed and it was able to move away from the path of sword at the very last moment. Tomoe had also failed to find this monster with her sense and the danger it possessed was extremely high. So Tomoe had no doubt in her mind that whatever being ear targeting him was at the S ranks. This danger zone only having A rank dangers was definitely a misguided and outdated information.

Even with the danger looming over her head, Tomoe got ready for a fight. She did her best to sense her opponent but the stealth skill that her opponent was using was just too good. But then again, suddenly Tomoe felt that another attack was coming toward her from her left side. Immediately she moved her body and slashed out at her right side.

Suddenly blood appeared out of thin air and a large black snake with purple and red stripes also came into view. Tomoe immediately realised that this snake was the same snake that was mentioned in the information about this place but now it had managed to evolve and had reached the S rank. Now not only was this beast able to use extremely powerful poison which was boosted by the special grass of this area, it was also capable of using illusion magic to confuse its opponents.

But its ability to use illusion was weaker than its poison and hiding ability. That was the reason why Tomoe was able to immediately find it when it tried to confuse Tomoe's sense of direction. And now that she had managed to find it one and had even sensed its unique aura. Even if this monster went into hiding again, Tomoe should be able to find it after working just a little bit harder.

Just like that the battle between these two continued. Elena did not participate in the fight and just observed the battle while protecting and patting Tomoe's new pet Lil Tommy in her hands. This snake beast was no match against Tomoe in a straightforward frontal combat. So for most of the time, it was just trying to hide itself from Tomoe in order to find a good opportunity to attack.

But Tomoe was cautious and even if she lost the presence of the beast for a minute or two, she would immediately focus hard and would find the beast. In that way, the battle did not last for long and after just a few minutes, the snake found itself to be badly injured. At the last moment, it collided with Tomoe's blades all on its one and sacrificed half of its body to use some kind of skill. Immediately this injured snake disappeared from its location. Tomoe tried her best to relocate it with all her might but this time she was unsuccessful. It looked like the skill that this snake used a forbidden teleportation skill which was its life saving trump card.

As Tomoe had already remembered the aura of the snake, if she wanted it was possible for her to hunt this snake. But as they were just about to exit the grassland and Tomoe was not really an archenemy with the snake, so she decided to let it stay alive and followed Elena to exit the dangerous grassland without going after it.

Just like that the second danger zone on their way was cleared.
