Just after the second danger zone "Violet Grassland" Elena and Tomoe came across the third danger after just about two or three hours. But they did not immediately enter this danger zone and instead decided to take a little break just outside of it.

Elena was satisfied with Tomoe's performance in the previous few battles. So, to reward Tomoe, she decided to cook something amazing for her. Tomoe really liked meat and Elena was planning to cook a super tasty one for her. This meat was from a S rank Flamestorm Eagle and it was extremely tasty even amongst the S rank meats.

Elena had been missing the taste of fried chicken for quite some time so she decided to make just that with this meat. But the Flamestorm Eagle was just too big to be eaten like a regular chicken so Elena separated the meat from the bones and got ready to cook.

First she seasoned the meat with various spices and yogurt. Then she used time acceleration magic to marinate them quickly.

While that was happening, Elena started to prepare the eggs and flour to cover the meat with. She again mixed various spices with the flour and mixed them together. She also cracked open five eggs of this same beast and started whisking them thoroughly. Then she also prepared the breadcrumbs and now everything was ready so Elena started cooking.

First she lit up a fire with her powerful fire magic and put a large pot on the oven. Then she poured a whole bottle of oil which was created from a rare flower plant called Gesbonami. Soon the oil became super hot and ready to be used for frying.

Elena took out the well marinated meat and dropped out on the liquid egg. Then after making sure that the meat was covered with egg properly, she dropped it on the flour mixture. After that she again dropped it on the egg and flour a few more times. Then finally she coated the pieces of meat with the breadcrumbs to give the fried meat an amazing crunchy texture. Then finally she dropped the meat into the sizzling hot oil.

Just like that amazing fried meat was ready for everyone to eat. With Elena's perfect handling all those fried bird meat pieces were crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. Elena and Tomoe had a lot of fun devouring these super tasty food and they became energised for the next danger zone that was on their way.

The next danger zone that Elena and Tomoe were going to enter was called Yin-yang Inverse Mountain. This danger zone did not have any monsters or living beings living inside it. This was actually a place that Lya herself had created when she was experimenting with her power and authority. After millions of years, all the divine energy that she was used in this place had vanished but this area had become a part of the world itself. So currently the world was supplying the power for this place to work.

The Yin-yang Inverse Mountain area actually had one single large mountain but with two peaks. From a distance one of her mountain peaks which was made out of a light coloured stone looked white and on the other hand, the other part was made out of hard black stone. So this colour contrast suited this area extremely well.

This place was quite beautiful to look at but no tourists ever came to visit this place. So why would such a beautiful area that did not even have any monsters, did not have any tourist traffic ? The reason for that was the special rule that governed this region.

Because of this special rule, anyone entering the range of this area would experience an extreme change in their perception. The world would become upside-down. Their sense of direction would reverse and even the feelings about certain things would become opposite. This experience was equivalent to having a mind fuck situation.

If anyone who was not mentally strong entered this place, that person would not be able to withstand this extreme sensation and there was a very high chance for them to become a vegetable or in the worst case situation, immediately die. That was why this place was so dangerous and no one came here as tourists. The only problem who sometimes visited this place were adventurers who came here to train their mental power.

This place would be immensely helpful for Tomoe especially in the deeper areas. The most dangerous mind inversion was present at the top of the mountain peaks and if Tomoe could withstand that, she would be able to experience a massive mental growth.

So again Elena gave Tomoe a mission which was to reach the top of the white mountain. Elena also promised to give Tomoe a very good reward if she was able to accomplish this task.

As soon as Tomoe stepped foot inside the Yin-yang Inverse Mountain, she experienced the sensation that had made many people into a mindless husk. The sudden change in her senses and perspective was so drastic that Tomoe became dizzy for a moment and her feet became unstable like a newborn fawn. But after a few moments, she was able to get used to this feeling and her legs stopped shaking.

After that Tomoe looked toward Elena and saw that she was perfectly fine. Respect welled up from her heart as Tomoe thought about how amazing Elena was. But to her surprise, alongside respect for Elena, Tomoe was also able to sense that the feeling of jealousy was also present inside her.

This was definitely something weird as Tomoe was very sure that she had no feelings of jealousy for Elena in her heart at all. Then after remembering what Elena had told her about this mountain, Tomoe judged that the feeling of jealousy that she was feeling was an effect of this mountain.

This was something that Tomoe did not want to feel about Elena so she was unhappy about this. But still she did her best to get rid of the unpleasant feeling from her heart. If she wanted to be unaffected by the mountain, Tomoe needed to create an extremely powerful mental defence. So she focused most of her attention on that. Other than that she was also trying to get used to the direction changes that her senses were facing. This was not a hard thing to do and she got used to the changes of her senses rather quickly. But her mental defences were still not perfected but waiting here anymore would be unproductive. So she decided to start going deeper into the Inverse Mountain and she would try to strengthen her mental defence on her way.

That was how Elena and Tomoe's journey in the third danger zone began.
