It's been 2 months since Elena had become the new headmistress of the Royal Academy. In the last 2 months she had gotten used to her new routine. She wasn't insanely busy or anything as she had superhuman specs and she even had more than enough time to spend with Vista and Shuri. She didn't stop her adventuring too and whenever she had some time she went to the adventurer guild to take on interesting requests.

Currently she was working in her office inside the academy. She didn't have much work left to do. She only had to sign few documents and had to take a look at some proposals coming from teachers and her work for the day will be done. While Elena was humming a tune and was getting the last bit of the work done, she heard a knock on the door. After she gave the permission to enter an old gentleman entered the room.

He looked to be in his late fifties and had a well maintained beard and moustache. His dress was also perfect. This man's name was August Salvadory. He was a former count who had retired and had joined the royal academy as an advisor. After Elena became the headmaster she made him one of her personal secretary. He was a very experienced man and his management skills were also great. Most importantly he was not an arrogant person and that helped Elena a lot. Elena asked him -

"So, old man, do you have something to report ?"

"Yes, Madam. The student admission competition for next semester is going to take place very soon. I want to know if madam wants to participate in this or not. If you do decide to participate then we have to make extra arrangements so it will be very helpful if madam can inform me about this matter as it will be your first even student recruitment."

"Student admission huh. Umm, I do plan to attend it but not as a headmistress or with my real identity. Someone I adore will also be participating this year and my appearance can make her nervous. So you don't have to make extra preparations I will visit that place incognito."

"As you wish madam. Will it be alright if I inform other staff about this matter?"

"Yes, I don't mind. Just tell them to not leak this to the whole world."

Today the whole capital had a festive atmosphere all around. The reason for that was because today the royal academy would take the admission test for new students. And it would be for the first time that the new and improved academy would take in new blood. So everyone in Myrilia kingdom and even some neighbouring countries were interested in enrolling here. Elena's fame had spread like wildfire as the "Crimson Adjudicator" in the last two months. And that had in turn increased the popularity of the royal academy.

The test was going to take place inside a new facility that Elena had built after becoming headmistress. The format of the test would also be different from the previous years. The students who were aiming for the work division had to pass a written examination and then an interview with a panel of teachers to be admitted.

As for the students who wanted to join the battle division, they had to get a standard score for a written exam and a combat exam. Even if someone had a bad result for the written exam but a good result for the combat one, they would have a chance to get selected. After that the selected candidates would have a competition among them and the winner of the competition would represent the whole first year.

Not only that but the candidates who would perform well would also get extraordinary rewards straight from the headmistress. So many students were aiming to show off their skills here.

As the announcer started telling the participants how the competition would take place, they were at first a bit sad as it was announced that Elena would not be present inside the venue and she would watch the competition from her office using her awesome powers. But soon they became interested in this new type of competition format.

First they were taken inside a large classroom for their written examination and that examination was supposed to take 3 hours. Both the work division and the battle division students would have to give this exam even tho their questions were a bit different from each other.

After the written examination was over the work division students were told to wait inside a large and lavish waiting room. On the other hand the battle division students were taken to a large training ground for their combat exam. The total number of students wanting to join the combat division was very large so there were several test centres where over a hundred students could give the exam simultaneously.

The combat test was very simple. Except those who had talent for non attacking jobs like healers or scouts, everyone was told to use their strongest attacks on a board created by Elena herself. That board had the ability to judge the strength of an attack and to give a score based on it. It didn't matter if the attacker was a mage or warrior. The board would judge how much damage it might deal to a living being with perfectly neutral nature. That means the board didn't have any resistances and it also didn't have any weaknesses.

As for the students with special abilities like healing or scouting, as their number was not very high special teachers who were experts for those fields would judge those students personally. They didn't even have to participate in the upcoming tournament as they were not combat oriented.

The test with the board was just the first test. The second test would use the newly introduced combat puppets who would judge the participants combat sense and skills and would give an unbiased score based on that.

The participants were allowed to use any kind of weapons and magic, even summons for fight. Obviously, the participants could not use something which was too excessive like a legendary sword which was the participant's family heirloom or a strong beast that the family had given to the participants for their safety. The teachers would be in charge of judging what was allowed and what was not.

Then the third and the last test would be like a hurdle race where the participants had to use their combat ability to face off against different situations. This world judge their decision making capabilities and also their ability to face danger. After calculating their scores from all three of the test, eligible candidates would be chosen. After the friendly competition or tournament would take place but all the participants of the tournament would be eligible candidates.

Now it was time for these tests to begin and for a young girl to step up to the big stage.
