[Labyrinth of Unwritten Destiny] was the new technique that Elena had just completed. She was working on this from the very first day after starting her new life and finally she was done with it.

Actually there were still many improvements that Elena could add to this move so currently it was in a very basic form. But still, at least this move was now usable in this battle.

Elena had quite a few plans to get this Cosmos Swallowing Worm under her control but almost all those plans were quite troublesome and time consuming to execute. There was still a mastermind behind this whole thing who was still in the dark, so all her time consuming plans were quite risky to pull off.

But if the Labyrinth of Unwritten Destiny function exactly the way Elena had planned, she might be able to take care of this problem completely. As the intelligence of this worm monster was very limited, challenging it in a war of wits was the best option.

Elena had planned and designed the Labyrinth of Unwritten Destiny based on a real Labyrinth that she had conquered once. In this labyrinth, every single individual needed to live a brand new life and had to reach the peak of that world in order to conquer the dungeon. All the sucessful conquerors would have their story written in a book which would then be available for other to read in special room of the dungeon.

What interested Elena most about this dungeon was this story aspect. Elena had found that to be very cool. Becoming the writer of her own story was really a very exciting experience.

This Labyrinth of Unwritten Destiny worked in the same manner. Anyone trapped inside it would start a new life which was not controlled by any kind of fate. Elena had isolated the fate mechanism and had allowed the nature to take it's course naturally.

So currently the worm was being born as a little baby onikin with a broken horn. Because of this bodily defect, that little onikin girl was shunned in the village. Some villagers even speculated that she was a Bringer of Calamity for them.

In this situation, any person would take the decision to lie low and to try to find a way to slowly gain the favour of the villagers back. But the worm was currently in a frenzy and as its intelligence was astronomically low, there was no way this worm would be able to make rational decisions.

So the worm just lashed out on everything and anything. Using the baby's body, it somehow killed the mother holding the child and injured the father who was nearby. Later on, the villagers attacked this killer bady with all their might and the devil bady was soon killed.

As the result of this, the first fateless journey of the Cosmos Swallowing Worm ended with a bad end. So now the Cosmos Swallowing Worm would suffer a penalty for its poor performance. Actually if it had managed to perform well and had managed to reach a good end, then it would have been Elena who would have suffered the same penalty.

So this ability was a double edged sword. Elena obviously had plans to improve this aspect in the future so that she could gain more advantages than the person whom she had trapped.

Actually if her target was not this stupid and ferocious monster worm, Elena would not have dared to use this ability even against someone with mediocre intelligence. Just as the name of the spell implied, even Elena was unable to control what would be happening to the target.

So if someone was super lucky then there was a possibility that they would not face any trouble in the journey and would reach the good end very easily. In a case like that, Elena would be in a world of trouble.

But this stupid worm was extremely easy to read. Even though it's body was weak, because of its inherent ferocity, it would start attacking everyone around it without caring about anything or even making any plans for the future.

So obviously the inhabitants would fight back to save their lives and as the worm would just be a tiny little baby, it would always lose and reach the bad end. That way it would suffer the penalty again and again.

As for what the penalty was, it was to give a certain amount of its soul's control to Elena. If it had reached a good end, it would have gotten control over a little bit of Elena's soul.

In this way, Elena could get this worm under her in a very short amount of time if everything went well. She could choose various different different kinds of punishments and could even control the degree of the punishment.

But as it was her first time using this move, she decided to be cautious and chose the lowest possible degree for the punishment. So the Cosmos Swallowing Worm needed to reach about 8 to 10 bad ends to give Elena the full control.

Now it was just a game of waiting. Just as Elena had expected, the Cosmos Swallowing Worm did not learn from its mistakes at all and made the same mistakes all the time. As soon as it was born, it started to rampage around without caring about anything else.

As the creatures around him were actually way weaker than its real self, it never felt any real danger from them. So it continued to attacked everyone around it again and again. And the result of this was very obvious. It died every time and reached the bad ends repeatedly very quickly.

There was a few times when it was born in a very advantageous position. For example, being the only heir of a monster emperor or being the powerful alchemical creation of a genius alchemist who failed to install anything to control it.

In both of those cases, even a child would have been able to reach the good end even if they did not do anything. But fortunately for Elena, because this stupid worm was only recklessly attacking everyone around it, it died without having any chance of growing up.

There was only one exception in all those runs. In one of the stories, the worm was born directly as a legendary dragon with invincible powers. So this time, it sucessfully managed to rampage around and destroy the world, reaching a good end completely coincidentally. But fortunately for Elena, she had taken precautions and had chosen the lowest settings for punishment. So losing a bit of her soul for a limited amount of time was not a big deal.

But luckily, there was no other trouble and Elena managed to get the worm under her after nine stories played out. Just like this this battle came to an end. But Elena's troubles were not over as the mastermind behind this whole thing was about to make their move.
