"Never." Kael's eyes still had actual flames burning as pupils. With the look he had, it was impossible not to be pressured by this.

Alyndra's face changed as he tried to pull his sword back, only for him to realise Kael had grabbed the sword in his two fingers of his fist. Even the gravitational energy sword has consumed wasn't coming back.

Before he could think of letting go of the sword, Kael grabbed the hand gripping the sword.

Alyndra, with trembling eyes, tried to pull it back, but it didn't budge. His hand was turning purple. This wasn't arcana; Kael's own pure physical strength was overpowering a peak Overload while being nerfed.

"Don't look at me like that." Kael chuckled at Zhenny, who was gawking at him with a widened jaw.

"I just gave away twenty more years." Kael finished with a bright smile, "This time, for physical strength."

…What? Twenty more also meant he already did twenty.

"Why?" I couldn't help but ask, what was even the point of it, if he was just going to die when he got out? He already looked in his late twenties.

"I have to give it my all." He said simply, before turning back to Alyndra.

My head lowered with parted lips. I understood him, but if I were the old me, would I have spent forty years of my life just to fight back against impossible odds?

I am not sure, but now… I looked around, so many faces burning with determination, all fighting to get out, when finally my eyes landed on Alya's perfect face.

If I needed to, I would. On the other hand, I would probably try to find a better way to fix the problem, but sometimes, we don't have a choice.

Alyndra's scoff brought me out of my dilemma. He raised his other hand, spreading the palm and curling the fingers, definitely about to launch a vicious gravity attack that would precisely tear through Kael's heart.

Alya's blood beam suddenly paused before splitting into four separate beams, hitting Alyndra's on separate vitals like head, heart, kidney… crotch before he barely paused them just a centimeter away from them.

"Not enough!" Alyndra let out an anxiety-oozing laughter before his face brightened as the energy was only a few inches from blowing Kael away, only for Alyndra to freeze the next second as two dog ears shook before his eyes. Kobi was there!!

"Idiot! This is a much higher density than that slash! I doubt you could use your skill on this." Alyndra only grinned as the attack hit Kobi point-blank, having full confidence.

But the smile soon faltered as Kobi's body didn't turn into a donut.

The attack had paused completely before his chest. "[Consume]!" The attack was slowly being consumed, but Kobi's face soon paled as he felt himself being pushed by the pure energy of the attack.

It wouldn't kill them, but the attack would still do its job, letting Alyndra retreat his sword.

"Hello, hello! My name is Shen." Suddenly, a wise and old voice rang in Kobi's ears as he felt both his hands grabbed by wrinkled skin.

His eyes widened as both hands were grabbed by different Shens, and those Shens by another two Shens.

That wasn't all, the last two Shen were grabbed by Ren, who had appeared right behind Alyndra, now locking everyone in a chain.

In just a few seconds, the gravitational attack was consumed by Kobi as he let out an audible grunt, letting everyone in the chain breathe again.

As Ren was taking fast, heavy breaths, sweat covering her body, her eyes widened. Alyndra's elbow, covered with even denser energy, was coming to pierce through her belly.

But before it could, my yell rang, "Now, Suge, Zhenny!"

Zhenny instantly made a triangle with both her thumbs and index fingers, violent lightning formed in the space in the center, which violently rushed towards Alyndra, cracking and widening as the shining, blue and purple thunder bolts closed in on him.

The dense gravity aimed at Ren instantly moved away from Alyndra's elbow, spreading towards the violent thunderbolts.

Ren coughed up absurd amounts of blood as she flew a few meters away. Alyndra's elbow still hit her, but at least it didn't make her a donut.

Ren shook her head, rubbing her clenched fist on her blood-covered lips as she joined both her hands tightly together before turning them towards Alyndra.

"Ren will make you pay. Gatling gun!" Next second, she tilted her joined hands left to right to left, seven-inch-long water daggers, escaped from the gaps in between her fingers, travelling at absurd speed as the number of them soon grew to more than a thousand, each faster than a bullet.

This… This was Elemental Arcana. My eyes were glowing like a child's while watching their favorite cartoon. Anyone could learn it too. I seriously needed to find a teacher, first thing.

I used the only projectile I could use, shooting my revolver three more times before only a clicking sound could be heard.

The attacks he was blocking got 0.5 centimeters closer to him as he thinned the density of his protection, thick sweat covering his face.

Suge appeared on Zhenny's opposite side. With a light nod, he clapped both his cat paws hard.

"Ten thousand sonic waves!" He yelled with a wide smile, his extremely white and perfect teeth brightening the heavy darkness.

"Wait! Wait! He can't defend against that now; he will go flying. We can't let him recover the gravity inside the sword." I shouted with a panicked look, but Suge just shook his head.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

One by one, cat-shaped energy waves escaped, every one of them hitting Alyndra point-blank.

Alyndra's face was covered in blood, his armor had long cracks, but Suge didn't stop, repeatedly using his most powerful sonic booms.

I was… still underestimating Kael… My pupils shook as I observed Kael still gripping Alyndra's arm, not letting him blow away.

"YOU!!" Alyndra had no reaction to the incredible pain he should be feeling, only hate and anger. "I am perfection. There's no way anyone can kill me!"

He was right. Even Suge's strongest of attacks were being tanked easily, and he was the strongest in the group. Besides him, of course.

"Don't forget we are just stalling, Mr. Perfect." I said with amusement before turning back to Subaru, "How much more time, Subaru?"

Before Subaru could reply, we were interrupted by Alyndra's wild laughter.

"Haha, finally, cooldown is over! I want to see you act cocky now!" He grinned before muttering words that sent a chill down everybody's spines, "[Unique skill: Soldiers of heaven]."
