Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Bargain-Hunting King?

Tiger-faced King and his men waited for a while before turning and leaving. Yang Bo decided to wait a bit longer before following them. After all, given what had just happened, it was fortunate that he hadn’t taken the same tunnel as Tiger-faced King’s group, but rather a nearby one.

But in the next second, faint golden light emanated from the Energy Armors worn by Tiger-faced King’s subordinates. The black shadows were fast, leaving trails of dazzling light as they struck the armors.

Yang Bo already knew that collisions between Energies would produce light, but watching dozens of Mutants locked in a chaotic brawl still made him quite excited.

"ROAR!" Tiger-faced King let out a furious bellow. An Energy Shock Wave erupted with him at the epicenter, sweeping out in all directions. The surrounding black shadows instantly staggered and slowed down.

"KILL!" Hearing their king’s roar, Tiger-faced King’s subordinates followed suit, roaring in unison. Another visible shock wave formed. Then, they raised their Energy Weapons and slashed at the sluggish black shadows. In an instant, several shadows were hacked down.

In the distance, Tiger-faced King’s men who had been walking ahead also heard the commotion and rushed back.

"So these poor saps are vulnerable to Energy impacts?" Yang Bo realized upon seeing this.

"Leave me be! Go to Black Dog’s home base first and slaughter everyone there!" Tiger-faced King shouted his orders to his returning men.

"Yes, King!" The men who had rushed back to help immediately sprinted toward the other side of the tunnel.

Sure enough, upon hearing this, the black shadows swiftly vanished into the surrounding tunnels.

Tiger-faced King then called back the group he had just sent away. Looking at the several corpses of his subordinates on the ground, his expression was as ugly as it could be.

The moment Yang Bo had seen Tiger-faced King’s reinforcements returning, he had quickly retreated. Following the tunnel he came from, he arrived at a slightly more spacious area, summoned his Mecha, and hid in the dark.

Yang Bo was truly envious of the poor sap’s group’s abilities and wanted to see if he could farm anything off them. With his Mecha, even if he couldn’t beat them, he could still run away. Not to mention, in such narrow terrain, his Mecha only needed to crush them directly; it didn’t require much maneuvering at all.

"Eh?" Tiger-faced King had merely wanted to test the waters, afraid that Black Blade General was faking his injuries. He never expected to kill him in one hit.
