Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4892 Reopening Of The Summit

Chapter 4892  Reopening Of The Summit

In a small celestial body that was beyond the realms in the vast empty space of the Second Layer, light began shining like a beacon, lighting up the entire floating continent.

There didn't seem to be anyone who was present there. Not a single soul could be seen there, yet it was one of the most important locations in the Second Layer.

It was not maintained by any being. And yet, when the light shone forth like a radiant star, its majesty was unmatched. The surrounding cosmic dust was swept away as if scoured by a divine storm. The entire continent was enveloped by an enormous and intricate formation, one woven from space, sound, light, and illusion. Runes of unfathomable depth floated through the air, overlapping and interlocking in silent harmony.

Above countless immortal palaces and ancient monuments hovered a colossal platform. It emitted prismatic radiance composed of sixteen distinct colors, each hue originating from a throne. As the light converged, the radiance gradually condensed into figures.

Sixteen different projections manifested.

"Dammit!"

Immediately, one of them struck the round table, but their hands passed through, making them even more enraged. Despite them only being a silhouette created from an illusory projection, one could see the rage they were suppressing in their heart was unmistakable.

"Unexpectedly, the Darksea Abyss Venerate failed in eliminating the Divine Emperor of Death when he had previously claimed that he would end him in an instant when he ascended to the Upper Realms?"

The ever-glowing Star Blossom Fairy immediately sneered in response, "Trash!"

Her words resounded like a spear impaling a head despite being melodious, causing a pin-drop silence to emerge.

"Hmph!"

Malzor Hexadra, the ruler of the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm, possessing the title Darksea Abyss Venerate, sounded dismissive instead of being further enraged.

"I had him in my grasp. He was moments away from being crushed. But another Divergent appeared. An Omega Exalt capable of displaying True Deity-level prowess as if she were a Realm Master herself."

His gaze swept across the gathered projections.

"Why was there no intelligence on this Divergent?" He growled at the other Realm Masters.

If he had any intel before, it would've been hard for him to make a mistake.

He waved his hand, furthering his projection to showcase a purple-black-robed woman.

"That is…" Everyone's gaze flickered, some finding it somewhat familiar, and some couldn't tell at all.

"Astral Night Demoness…" White Flash Fairy uttered in a cold tone, her eyes narrowing, "I've been pursuing her ever since that incident, but stopped since I thought she had died. She's still alive?"

"It seems like she faked her death." The Star Blossom Fairy's lip curled in amusement.

The White Flash Fairy took a light breath, "Over a million years ago, she committed a massacre in a city. It was a city that didn't need to exist, so I won't go into detail, but she killed around eight hundred million people that day."

"Insanity… these Divergents…" The Dream Shadow Fairy sighed, shaking her head.

The Grand Alchemic Venerate, Realm Master of the Astral Pill Upper Realm, caressed his beard, "Hmm, I heard that Heaven's Warriors fought her to the death. Many Venerable Elders fell that day. So she has indeed faked her death. How cunning. Why would she help the Divine Emperor of Death?"

"It's possible that she is one of the rumored Divergent Saintess's disciple." The Void Autarch speculated.

"Oh, then she must've appeared during the Divine Emperor of Death's Immortal Emperor Tribulation as an avatar."

The Dream Shadow Fairy agreed as she turned to look at the White Flash Fairy.

The White Flash Fairy summoned projections of a few silhouettes. Nothing could be made out of their projections for certain, but one of them certainly matched what Malzor Hexadra summoned.

"She did indeed. They all had highly concealed themselves."

Malzor Hexadra waved his hand, clearing the projection, "In any case, the Divine Emperor of Death seemed to have escaped my realm. I don't know how he did it, but I suppose it's because of the Astral Night Demoness."

The White Flash Fairy also waved her hand, leaving only Qiyra Darkstar's silhouette.

Their gazes turned solemn.

Someone who could fight on par with them even in their own realms? That was dangerous.

What's more, she might even be able to reach the True Deity Stage's prowess outside the realm. Wouldn't that mean she could easily ruin them if they were to step out?

"There must be a lot of limitations to her powers." The Grand Alchemic Venerate suggested.

"Or it could be an artifact."

The Imperial Dawn Venerate, ruler of the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm, said, "A replica."

The others narrowed their eyes, their gazes solemn.

The existence of replicas wasn't something that was supposed to be publicized, but as Realm Masters, they were more or less aware of it. Their Legacy Treasures, although not as strong or ridiculous as replicas, were incredibly powerful in their own right. It wouldn't be a lie to say that they reached above the layer limit since their karma was connected with the realm.

But as usual, using them outside the realm will break the layer limit, and that would get it booted out. Hence, they were also called expensive decorations.

"…" Malzor Hexadra remained silent before he opened his mouth, "I suspect that it's a replica belonging to light and darkness."

"…!"

The hall stirred as the Realm Masters reacted visibly. They realized the heaviness of the issue.

Malzor Hexadra smirked, "I almost died after being grievously injured by the Astral Night Demoness. Fortunately, she fled with the Divine Emperor of Death, and I managed to recover through a stroke of luck and the strange powers of the twilight space."

There was no way he would share intel that the replica was one of light and darkness. However, since two Venerable Knights already witnessed the twilight space, he didn't bother to hide it. They would soon receive a detailed report from the Heaven's Warriors, as they might request their aid anytime.

"A pity that you didn't die," The Star Blossom Fairy cursed, "Letting them escape is deserving of a thousand deaths. But- If even someone like you couldn't deal with them, the situation is quite dire, huh?"

"Indeed." Malzor Hexadra nodded, not at all minding the sarcastic high-opinion tone of the other party, "I earned the ire of the Divine Emperor of Death. Given his known disposition, he would seek revenge sooner or later. I'm not worried, but the stability of the realms is at stake. Do you know that my upper realm is being filled with a desolate air that's devouring the heaven and earth energy?"

"..." The Realm Masters had more or less already heard about the aftereffects of the Divine Emperor of Death's ridiculous tribulation.

Some of them had experienced it due to it appearing above them and their realms.

"It's spreading." Malzor Hexadra's gaze was haunting, "It won't take long before you are all affected, and like a beast tide, he will come for you all. Therefore, we must-"

"That's not necessarily the case."

Abruptly, a new presence descended.

Above the platform, an altar ignited in blinding white radiance. A white-robed silhouette manifested, standing high above them all.

Instantly, the Realm Masters felt their hearts plunge. Their projections straightened instinctively.

"Supreme One!"

The Celestial Transcendent kept standing, his face solemn as he panned his gaze.

"Venerable Knight Damien is dead, killed by the First Dark Apostle of the Heavenly Blight Hall, the Apostle of Nullification."

"What!?"
