Chapter 4455: He Had Gone Very Far

Chapter 4455: He Had Gone Very Far

Qing Xing could not win a one-on-one fight, while Dan Jin was actually slightly weaker than him. Whether the current battle could be won depended entirely on Progenitor Chen. Lu Yin was very eager to see the man’s Star Fist deliver a surprise to everyone.

The battle continued. Qing Xing, Dan Jin, and Progenitor Chen all kept attacking while the pseudo-Immortal from the Divine Realm unleashed Immortal-level attacks as well.

All three worked together, reinforced with the Nirvana Tree Path. They pressed forward step by step, yet they still remained extremely cautious. One mistake would spell the difference between life and death.

"This cannot go on. I know that everyone has their own trump cards, so I will make a fool of myself first!" Qing Xing shouted as both of his arms rose up. He then shoved them straight forward and towards the light. Endless streams of energy instantly filled the cosmos. They moved like waves, sweeping across space and causing the cosmos to sway and tremble.

The light scattered, releasing motes of radiance that formed a cone that shot at Qing Xing.

"Be careful..." Dan Jin warned.

When they had first started fighting against this pseudo-Immortal, every attack they faced had come from those same motes of light. Those lights could not be seen or touched, and yet they could merge with Immortal matter. Every speck of light was like a strengthened grain of Immortal matter, and they gave off a horrifying sense of danger.

The motes entered the stream of energy and then wavered, as if they might scatter at any moment. But more and more lights kept congregating, causing the cone to grow larger and larger as it closed in on Qing Xing.

There was no way he could take this strike head-on.

As he watched the cone draw nearer, the cosmos vanished from Qing Xing's sight. There was only the roaring stream of energy sweeping past him, dragging the light away and plunging him into darkness. The endless currents formed spirals that revolved around his body as he raised a hand and threw a palm out.

Dan Jin stared. "Hand strike, kick, leg sweep, elbow thrust, hip check, shoulder slam, headbutt, eye gouge. This is the Eight Forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art."

In the past, Qing Xing could only use six forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art, but with the help of the Nirvana Tree Path, he was now able to unleash the complete eight forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art.

The eight forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art were Greater Sancte Mi Jin's ultimate technique. According to the legends, it could allow a person to merge with the chaotic ancient qi within themselves and roam across the past and present.

The eight forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art compressed all the streams of energy into a single finger. Two pitch-black rays then followed Qing Xing's gaze into the distance as he thrust a solitary finger forward. That finger could connect the past and present, throwing everything into chaos. Time, space, and consciousness would all be thrown into utter disorder, collapsing beneath that strike.

In the distance, Lu Yin arched a brow. He had exchanged blows with Qing Xing when they had first met, and his Chaotic Ancient Qi Art had shocked the Nine Odysseys Megaverse. Later, during the war against the Nest civilization, Qing Xing had used the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art in a direct clash against Chang and even managed to force Chang back slightly. It had to be known that Chang had possessed the greatest physical strength of the four Insect Lords. Even Lu Yin had found it difficult to fight against the creature at that time.

At that time, Qing Xing had also only used six forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art. At this moment, the full eight forms were being put on display, stunning all who saw them.

The finger strike outright shattered the cone of light, and then it became Qing Xing's turn to attack the light. With one finger driving the energy, everything was thrown into chaos. Even the gray power of time itself seemed to flow backwards as the strike continued closing in on the light.

The light that was the being from Divine Realm kept retreating as it stared at the finger strike. This was a very powerful attack.

An Aberrant. There was no mistake. This person possessed the strength of an Aberrant. How else could he unleash such a powerful attack?

However, if he wanted victory, this one finger would not be enough.

Around the light, countless more motes merged together, condensing and expanding in an endless cycle. It looked as if the light itself were continuously swelling up. From afar, it looked like a vortex of light.

Qing Xing struck, forming a vortex of energy. This was the most powerful attack he could possibly unleash with the eight forms of the Chaotic Ancient Qi Art, and it collided with the vortex of light.

The finger entered the light, and the stream of energy trembled nonstop. Step by step, Qing Xing continued to advance upon the light itself, pressing closer. But beneath the force of the vortex that surrounded the light, his path slowly shifted. He was drawn into the rotation along with the motes of light.

Qing Xing's face turned pale as he shouted, "This is no ordinary vortex! It is formed when those lights merge with Immortal matter. With so much Immortal matter, it is able to forcefully change my direction."

He was saying this for Dan Jin and Progenitor Chen to hear. This was Qing Xing’s strongest attack, but he still could not reach the light. His body kept drifting off course. He was getting closer and closer to the light, but his angle of attack was becoming more and more skewed.

Suddenly, right above Qing Xing's head, the light condensed into another cone that speared down, as though to pierce right through him.

At that moment, Dan Jin made her move. "I do not really have any sort of trump card—I just have a lot of pills. I will blast apart as much of it as I can."

Boom!

Boom, boom, boom!

Pills exploded endlessly. Dan Jin had a refined and gentle appearance, but even Lu Yuan was left speechless by her fighting style. Why did it feel as though she was more violent than anyone else here?

Lu Yin was disappointed. Dan Jin's talent regarding combat was far inferior to Qing Xing's, let alone Progenitor Chen's. Still, fighting had never been her strength to begin with. Reaching her current level was already her limit.

He looked over at Progenitor Chen. It was time for the man to take action.

Countless pills bombarded the light, buying Qing Xing a chance to break free from the vortex.

Seeing his opportunity, he immediately stopped pressing forward and instead retreated with a bitter smile on his face. "I oversimplified things. I thought that, since Lord Lu is able to kill Immortals like it’s child's play, becoming an Aberrant would not be too hard. Only by truly fighting an Immortal can you realize how dangerous they are. Just breaking through its Immortal matter alone is incredibly difficult."

"That is not what you were saying earlier," Dan Jin said with a sideways glance.

Qing Xing shrugged. "I was overconfident."

"We cannot win. From here on out, it depends on him." Dan Jin did not care about victory or defeat. Of course, that did not mean that her hands let up on her bombardment for even a moment.

Suddenly, the light turned blinding. In the blink of an eye, it filled the surrounding area, swallowing Qing Xing, Dan Jin, and even Progenitor Chen, who was standing farther away. Even after that, it continued to spread out.

At the same time, all the pills that Dan Jin had thrown out were stopped. The entire cosmos seemed to be filled with the motes of light.

In the distance, Ancestor Lu Yuan was surprised. "Is this its unseen world?"

Lu Yin was speechless. "But this one can be seen."

"So is this not an unseen world created from resonating with a cosmic law?"

"No. This is simply the creature's own power. Even without using a cosmic law, its innate ability can merge with Immortal matter to achieve this. This is why its civilization is a fishing civilization."

"Then how do we overcome this? Do we need to save them?"

Lu Yin replied, "Not yet. At the very least, let Progenitor Chen throw his punch."

The vortex of the motes of light grew larger and larger, and the being from the Divine Realm still did not use its cosmic law.

Progenitor Chen finally moved. He released his Cosmic Art, and countless stars began to revolve. Locking onto the light, he threw a punch. In that instant, countless stars lit up. The cosmos collapsed. Beneath this punch, it simply crumbled apart. The Cosmic Art overlapped with the Starfist Manual, as if an entire universe had just descended, and the fist viciously slammed into the light.

Qing Xing and Dan Jin's expressions changed drastically. They were stunned. This punch?

For the first time, the light also started to take Progenitor Chen seriously. Before this, the man’s attacks had posed even less of a threat than Qing Xing or Dan Jin’s. Thus, it had not cared about him, but at this moment, there was only Progenitor Chen and his punch in the being’s sight.

That punch warped the vortex of motes of light, forcing its way in. With the Cosmic Art in motion, the punch forced the spinning vortex to stop. The terrifying fist intent was simply unstoppable. Even when the being of light used its cosmic law, others could not even see what kind of law it was before Progenitor Chen’s single punch shattered it.

The Sixth Rampart’s Tai'a Fist. Progenitor Chen's own Star Fist, the one he had comprehended for himself, slammed into the light and punched straight through it.

Behind the light, the cosmos was carved open, leaving a dark and endless scar.

In an instant, the motes of light that had spread across the area dispersed. The light swayed unsteadily while the motes of light spinning around it trembled. They tried to repair the hole that had been punched through the vortex.

Qing Xing and Dan Jin both stared at Progenitor Chen in shock. Was he a second Lord Lu?

To their knowledge, Lu Yin had only been able to fight against beings that had reached the pinnacle of strength beneath the Immortal realm when he had become an Ortuser. And only after he became a Dukkhan had he managed to kill ordinary Immortals, thus becoming an Aberrant.

Now, Progenitor Chen's punch had just overpowered an Immortal. There was no question that he had just released the power of an Aberrant.

This man had also only just become a Dukkhan while Qing Xing and Dan Jin were both peak Dukkhans who had previously achieved the pinnacle of strength beneath the Immortal realm. There was already a vast difference in their realm.

Their human civilization had just gained a second Aberrant.

In the distance, Ancestor Lu Yuan let out a breath and revealed a bitter smile. "I did not expect to be surpassed by a junior."

Lu Yin smiled. "Ancestor, I am also one of your juniors."

"That is true, haha!" Ancestor Lu Yuan was actually delighted. The fact that Progenitor Chen had surpassed Lu Yuan’s generation indicated that their human civilization's overall combat power was steadily rising.

Lu Yuan saw no reason to feel upset, as the people of his generation were destined to step onto the road to Immortality. Ancient God had merely been the first to do so, but there was no chance that he would be the last. Even if not all of them succeeded in becoming Immortals, at least several of them would.

As for Lu Yuan himself, being able to teleport was already enough. Even if Progenitor Chen's punch surpassed what Lu Yuan was capable of unleashing, so long as he had teleportation, who would win and who would lose was still difficult to say.

Lu Yin vanished, teleporting away. When he reappeared, he was just a short distance from Progenitor Chen. Smiling, he said, "Congratulations, Senior Progenitor Chen, on becoming an Aberrant."

The Cosmic Art around Progenitor Chen subsided as he turned to meet Lu Yin's gaze. "There is still tremendous room for growth."

Lu Yin nodded. "Later, we will verify things together. This path truly can lead to invincibility."

"Good." Progenitor Chen felt reinvigorated. At last, he saw hope of taking Wang Xiaoyu back. He also knew that his endless pursuit of her was foolish. Even if he found her, what next? Would things not still end with a single sword strike? Even so, he could not give up.

Now, with the Star Fist, this fist technique that possessed limitless possibilities, Progenitor Chen had found a path towards invincibility. He would blaze his own trail and create his own path, never again as helpless as he once had been.

He was Progenitor Chen, the strongest of an era in the Tianyuan’s Origin Universe. He was one of the Nine Mountains and Eight Seas. No matter how things might change, he would always rise back to that same height.

The vortex of light that had been pierced by the Star Fist was already restored, and a voice rang out, "You have angered this god! This god will leave you unable to live and unable to die!"

Lu Yin smirked as he looked over. "Training is over. It’s time to go back."

With that, he vanished, teleporting away.

The being of light grew alarmed. Where had the creature gone?

Even while repairing its form, it had remained entirely focused on Progenitor Chen. While Lu Yin’s sudden appearance was alarming, as long as the newcomer was not an Immortal, he could be dealt with.

The being of light had been considering how it should deal with Progenitor Chen's punch, and it had not expected this newcomer to instantly vanish. Then, Lu Yin appeared right before it. He looked at the light and stretched out a hand.

The being of light was startled. It had no time to think about how Lu Yin had appeared so suddenly. Countless motes of light merged together and shot forward.

Lu Yin flicked a finger, though very gently. It looked as though he was merely flicking a tuft of cotton away, and yet that flick punched straight through the light yet again.

The being of light froze in disbelief. What was going on?

Qing Xing, Dan Jin, and even Progenitor Chen were all shaken as well. In the past, they had watched Lu Yin kill Immortals, but they had not been this shocked. At this moment, after having personally fought an Immortal, they finally understood just how powerful such beings truly were. They were opponents who existed on an entirely different level. Even though the three of them were able to step onto that same level through their various means, they had only barely managed to succeed.

On the other hand, Lu Yin had already gone much, much further on that level.
