Chapter 3747: Based On Names
Rean already knew which Shifter Location to use from those three Great Void Shifter Formations. Although the Abyssal Paths entangle with many others in the Great Void, selecting the right one would save them some time when selecting their destination.
Down into the ocean, Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and now even Celis, stood by the side of the Formation. "What were the results of your search?" Celis asked.
"The Abyssal Path connected to this formation is the easiest one to use. It would require fewer chances of direction as we pass through the entangled parts. Well, we won’t even see it. It’s the system that will warn us, and we will simply order it to take the paths we need," Rean explained. That’s what they did last time when they came to F974.
"What are the risks?" Kentucky was still curious. Would they be lucky enough to avoid danger, as it happened in F974?
"There is no such thing as zero risk," Rean said as he checked the information about the paths. "What I did... or had Sister Orb do, actually, was to find who controls the Universe we are going to."
"Who controls?"
Rean continued. "Yes. You see, Sister Orb found out that the Corrupted System is in D33, right?"
"Yes," Everyone nodded. She got that Information back with Rifindio when they were still in F956.
"So, my main target was Universe D33 when I asked Sister Orb to check everything. We don’t really need to go to it, but since we are already intending to go to a higher-ranked universe for resources, we might as well go to D33," Rean told them what he found with Tanxan, Zangeshu, and Sister Orb’s help.
"But, above all, finding who controls Universe D33 was the most important bit of information to avoid danger. Just like F974, it is very likely that D33 only has one Great Void Shifter that is in proper working conditions. In fact, chances are that other than that specific Shifter, all others were destroyed or completely collapsed, exactly like what happened here in F974."
"Yet, the Abyssal Paths never disappear... or so we believe. With that in mind, the information I, Zangeshu, and Tanxan looked for was regarding all Shifters in D33, not just a single one."
Sister Orb spoke from there. [Thus, I called Rifindio, and with his help and his Werdlem Network Authority as a Universe Owner, I found out who controls D33. We haven’t interacted with these kinds of experts in a long time. It’s actually a religion, the Light of the Provider Religion.]
"A religion?" Kentucky got curious. "Maybe I can spread the Great Kentucky Religion again. Do you think it would work?"
"First of all, what you had back then was a fan club, not a religion... although some of the girls looked pretty fanatic," Rean shrugged. "Second, the last thing we need is for you to mess with the controlling power of a Rank D Universe. We don’t even know if such a Universe can hold more than one Celestial Realm Expert, which would be its Universe Owner. If it can, who knows if we would have to face a real deal? We will keep our heads down there, okay?"
"Meh... I can never have fun." Kentucky complained, but didn’t go against it.
[You would do good to not intervene indeed,] Sister Orb warned. [This Light of the Provider Religion doesn’t allow for any other religion to exist in that Universe. From what Rifindio found with me, although not much, is that this Universe has very few other organizations. Sects, Clans, and such can only exist if they work as direct subordinates of the Religion, and all of them have direct representatives from this Religion deep inside their roots.]
"Talk about absolute dictatorship..." Celis couldn’t help but comment.
[Oh! Here’s another little piece of information, not that this one matters much. The Light of the Provider Religion doesn’t give much room to other organizations to take root, but they aren’t exactly hated. Its Universe Owner makes sure everyone has equal opportunities... Well, as equal as possible, to be more specific. Of all the Universes we have been to so far, that should be the best one in this regard. Of course, as long as you accept the Religion and its beliefs, that is.]
"Hmph! So it is even worse than a dictatorship." Roan snorted. In his eyes, everyone there was being manipulated as puppets, and most probably don’t even notice it. "That’s the perfect environment for the most dark shit to happen, trust me."
No one doubted Roan there.
Rean didn’t mind, though. "As long as it isn’t a barrier to us, who cares? Leave the dark shit with Roan and let’s focus on the so-called corrupted system."
"Does that mean you managed to acquire the route to D33?" Celis asked.
"Yes," Rean nodded and shared the information with everyone. "To be more specific, we managed to extract information regarding seven different Great Void Shifters in that Universe. As Sister Orb mentioned, the Light of the Provider Religion is the one we should avoid, and I found their Shifter in the cores. Naturally, their shifter should be in pristine conditions, being heavily guarded. That leaves us with another six Shifters."
[Unfortunately, I could not get any information even with Rifindio’s help regarding these other six. Rean passed me the names of the places where these Shifters can be found, but in the end, even Rifindio didn’t have enough authority to check that deep.]
"Very well," Roan understood the risk. Perhaps some of the other shifters haven’t been abandoned or destroyed like what happened here in F974 or there in F956. If that were the case, they could end up appearing somewhere heavily guarded. "Regardless, we already took this risk before, so we can only go with the flow and try it again. At the very least, we can avoid the Light of the Provider Religion’s Shifter."
"Exactly!" Rean agreed. "So, we just need to select one of the six to take. Here’s their names: Groman Abyss, Coromandel State, Blue Essence Rift, Eternal Well, Blood Claws Valley, and Soul Path. Those are the six locations we can choose from. Well, there is also the Light of the Provider Shifter... we obviously won’t select that one."
"Guess we will have to decide based on their names alone..."
