Chapter 3388: Demon Record (11)
An Yujun saw the blanket moving and quickly pressed it down with her hand while saying to Ning Shu, “I’m fine. I don’t need to go to the hospital. Thank you.”
Ning Shu asked again, “You really don’t need for the hospital? By my reckoning, it’s about time for you to give birth.
“In your condition, you really should go to the hospital,” Ning Shu said.
Since she’d said this much, An Yujun should understand.
She didn’t want to do anything to her child.
Chopping them up for snake stew would probably be too much trouble anyway.
Since An Yujun still insisted on not going to the hospital, Ning Shu simply gave up.
She had tried her best to persuade her. If An Yujun got an infection or something else happened, it wouldn’t be her responsibility.
Why did a union between a human and a snake demon result in eggs, not human-like children?
Was the offspring of a human and a demon always born in animal form?
Ning Shu looked at An Yujun’s pallid face. “This is the last—very, very last time I’m asking you. Do you want to go to the hospital or not?”
An Yujun shook her head. “I’m really fine. Going out means being hunted by demons again. I’d better not go.”
Ning Shu: …
Ning Shu had originally suggested the hospital seeing how painful An Yujun’s labor was. People said a woman’s childbirth suffering was like cheating death once, after all. That, coupled with the eggshells still inside her body, made her want to send her to the hospital to avoid major health issues.
But An Yujun wouldn’t go.
Ning Shu wasn’t annoyed by her refusal. It was An Yujun’s own body—if she didn’t care about it, so be it.
Besides, if Ning Shu wanted to kill them, it wasn’t as if these few people had any means to fight back against her.
“Then get some good rest,” Ning Shu said flatly. She closed the door behind her.
Ning Shu stood outside the door, released her spiritual consciousness, and observed the situation inside the room.
A black snake and a white snake emerged from under the blanket and coiled on top of it.
The little black snake said to An Yujun, “Mommy, are you feeling okay? Should you go to the hospital? The eggshells inside your body aren’t good for you, Mommy.”
The little girl quickly added, “Yes, Mommy, you should hurry to the hospital. Wasn’t that blind eagle offering to take you?
“Once you go to the hospital, Brother and I will escape first and find a place to hide.”
Hearing the little girl’s words, An Yujun was taken aback and said softly, “You’re both so young. Where could you possibly go?”
“I want to go find Father. That blind eagle will surely make a move against us.”
“Mommy, don’t worry, one of us will stay behind to protect you,” the little black snake said to An Yujun.
“So which one of us will go find Father?”
The little black snake looked at his sister. “I told you to cultivate diligently, but you didn’t. What should we do now?”
“Brother, you’re always scolding me. Why don’t we take Mommy with us?
“Let’s leave this place together.”
The little black snake thought for a moment. “Alright, we’ll leave this place. I can protect Mommy too. Let’s go find Father now.”
An Yujun suddenly felt she had a pillar of support. She stroked her eldest son’s head and said, “Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
Ning Shu, who was standing outside the room and using her spiritual consciousness to watch the scene inside, couldn’t help but rub her temples.
What was this situation now? She was taking two children to find their father?
And after they found him, after their triumphant reunion, what’d happen?
A person could be gentle and soft, but they should still have principles and bottom lines.
She had been raped, gave birth to the children, and now she was going to find that man?
Although An Yujun was an adult, she was being led by the nose by those two children.
She didn’t seem to find anything wrong with what the snake king had done.
Through the subtle influence of the two children, a seed of favorable impression towards him had been planted in An Yujun’s heart.
The Qing dynasty fell ages ago. How was this ideology of ‘belonging to one man forever’ still being passed down?
But then again, the snake king was powerful. Even if An Yujun wanted to hide from him, she couldn’t.
And if one couldn’t resist, one must endure.
Besides, the snake king’s strength was formidable, he was handsome, so he was not that bad of a man.
Even if she didn’t love him now, she would eventually fall for him.
A man’s love started from his stomach, while a woman’s love started between her legs. A woman always developed unique feelings for a man she had been physically intimate with.
A man could be detached and heartless afterwards, but a woman truly couldn’t.
Especially after she’d given birth to two children for him.
Since they planned to leave, they should go quickly. But if they left, the snake king wouldn’t come to her.
Ning Shu had some accounts to settle with the snake king.
If they went away, she’d have to search the whole world for him.
Ning Shu stroked her chin and fell deep in thought. Well, it was unlikely An Yujun and her two kids could leave immediately, anyway.
Because An Yujun’s body was very weak right now.
Leaving eggshells inside her body were like leaving the placenta inside after birth and not taking it out.
And it wasn’t not just the eggshells. There was also the egg fluid. If these things remained inside her body and weren’t cleaned out properly, wouldn’t they start to rot?
Especially since egg white was high in protein. The smell of it decomposing would be quite… memorable.
While An Yujun was in her postpartum confinement period, Ning Shu cooked for herself and prepared some easily digestible food for An Yujun.
Giving birth was terribly hard on a woman, but that didn’t mean Ning Shu liked An Yujun.
The two snakes would hide under the quilt whenever they saw Ning Shu.
Ning Shu ignored them. She already knew they were out.
And at night, they would sneak out of the room to look for food.
Although these two children were small, their appetites were huge. They could swallow raw meat and all sorts of things.
They were eating her food, living in her house, and still giving her dirty looks.
When the two little brats sneaked out again, Ning Shu grabbed a snake head in each hand.
With their heads pinched, the two snakes wrapped themselves around Ning Shu’s wrists.
“Where did these snakes come from?” Ning Shu swung the two snakes back and forth, holding a head in one hand and pulling on a tail with the other, stretching them.
“Oh, you’re quite elastic,” Ning Shu said with a smile.
The two little snakes endured Ning Shu’s manhandling while gritting their teeth and saying nothing, pretending to be ordinary snakes.
They were afraid Ning Shu would eat them.
Ning Shu swung the snakes back and forth while saying thoughtfully, “Hmm, let’s make some snake stew.”
Ning Shu carried the two snakes to the kitchen. A kitchen knife lay on the cutting board, scaring the two little snakes so much their ‘legs’ trembled.
Ning Shu placed the little white snake inside the rice cooker and closed the lid. The little white snake couldn’t push it open no matter how hard she tried.
Ning Shu looked at the little black snake in her hand. “Let me find where a snake’s penis is. Do you have two?”
The little black snake was stunned, then began to struggle violently.
This old eagle was a pervert! He was molesting a child!
“Mommy, save me, save me!” The little black snake had no choice but to call out to his mother for help.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to escape, but he couldn’t. He’d been caught by this eagle and simply couldn’t break free from this eagle’s control.
This old eagle had some skill.
An Yujun was sleeping when she heard her son’s cries for help. She hurriedly tried to get up, but moving too quickly caused a pain in her abdomen.
An Yujun didn’t even have time to put on shoes. She ran to the kitchen door barefoot. She saw her son held by Ning Shu, and her face turned ashen.
“Let him go, let him go!” An Yujun, like a mother lion protecting her cub, snatched the little black snake from Ning Shu’s hand and held him tightly in her arms.
“Where’s Xiaoxiao? Where’s Xiaoxiao?”
An Yujun panicked. She frantically searched for her daughter’s whereabouts.
“Mommy, I’m in here!”
A noise came from the rice cooker.
